Whimsicott has always been a staple Pokemon in Gen 8 VGC as the fastest Prankster Pokemon in the format with a wide array of utility. Tailwind is the main point of nearly all Whimsicott sets, as it provides speed control for a whole host of teams, pairing especially well with Calyrex-S, Kyogre, and Zacian-C. Moonblast allows Whimsicott to check some of the common Dark- and Fighting-types in the metagame such as Urshifu-R, Urshifu-S, and Yveltal. Alternatively, Dazzling Gleam deals chip damage to both Pokemon and can KO a low HP Pokemon protected by a redirector such as Indeedee-F. Grass Knot is another option, dealing significant damage to Kyogre and Groudon. Taunt prevents common status moves such as Stakataka's and Palkia's Trick Room and Amoonguss's Spore. Due to the banning of Dynamax, and Fake Out becoming more prevalent, Encore is great for punishing Fake Out from common non-Dark-type users such as Rillaboom and Mienshao as well as more passive moves such as Protect and Substitute from Zacian-C and Calyrex-S. Protect keeps Focus Sash from being broken due to Fake Out, thus guaranteeing Tailwind can be used next turn. Helping Hand allows Whimsicott to still support its partner, even when facing common Fake Out users such as Rillaboom, Incineroar, and Mienshao. Mental Herb cures Taunt from the likes of Incineroar, Tornadus, and opposing Whimsicott.

Whimsicott usually takes a supporting role, often paired with an offensive Restricted Pokemon, namely Calyrex-S, Kyogre, or Zacian-C, as Tailwind makes them even greater threats. In a Calyrex-S team specifically, Whimsicott also helps check Calyrex-S counters such as Urshifu-S, Yveltal, and sometimes Galarian Moltres. Another way to utilize Whimsicott is to put it next to a Fake Out user such as Mienshao or Incineroar, thus guaranteeing Tailwind most of the time. Psychic Surge Pokemon such as Indeedee-F and Tapu Lele also help guarantee Tailwind by blocking Fake Out and Prankster Taunt. Fire- and Water-types help Whimsicott by safely switching into Steel- and Fire-types such as Zacian-C, Entei, and Incineroar in case Whimsicott needed to be conserved for the late-game.

(I have fixed up this. I've moved the offensive moves to slot 1, as it is generally preferable to have a damaging move in slot 1 due to how the VGC timer works. I've also fixed up the spacing between the slashes so it uploads properly)

Whimsicott had always been a staple Pokemon in Gen 8 VGC, and it hasn't fallen off the radar even in a restricted format. Whimsicott, with the ability to get +1 priority for status moves as well as a decent base 116 speed stat, made it the fastest prankster pokemon in the format with a wide array of utility. (I would reword this and kinda merge the points together a little. Just helps with readability) Whimsicott is often seen paired with a hyper offensive restricted Pokemon, namely Calyrex-S, Kyogre, and Zacian-C, as Tailwind provides speed control to help these hyper offensive Pokemons outspeed and possibly OHKO opponent's opposing Pokemon before they have the chance to attack. (This point really should be in the next paragraph. Remember that our format really has paragraph 1 as an overview + what the set does, and then paragraph 2 is generally partner Pokemon. The other way to write this is to effectively write it in terms of Tailwind e.g. "Tailwind provides speed control for a whole host of teams, pairing especially well with....") In a Calyrex-S team specifically, the presence of Whimsicott also helps to check for Calyrex-S counters such as Urshifu-SS, Yveltal, and sometimes, Moltres-Galar, as most of these Pokemons wouldn't want to take a 252SpA STAB moonblast or Dazzling Gleam. (I dislike this point, I'd rather it be about Moonblast and what it does "Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam both allow Whimsicott to check some of the common Dark- and Fighting-types in the metagame such as Urshifu-R, Urshifu-S and Yveltal) As the Series 10 meta progressed, some people started to opt for Grass Knot as another offensive move option (We are not recounting what players have done with Whimsicott in Series 10, we are simply describing what its move set does.), since it also helps in dealing large amounts of damage to 2 of the common restricted Pokemons used in the series, namely Groudon (76.3 - 90.8% to a 252HP/4SpD EV set) and Kyogre (62.5 - 75.0% to a 4HP/0SpD EV set). (We never include stats like these. It's far simpler to just say "Grass Knot is an alternative option that deals significant damage to Kyogre and Groudon.")

(I think this would ideally be part of the first paragraph)
As for utility,
Whimsicott often runs taunt to help prevent Trick Room from Stakataka, or Spore from Amoonguss. (I think the subject of this should be Taunt: "Taunt allows Whimsicott to prevent common status moves such as Stakataka and Palkia's Trick Room and Amoonguss's Spore.") Encore showed a rise in usage in the current format. Due to the banning of Dynamax, and Fake Out users becoming more prevalent, the presence of Encore will make the opponent think twice before deciding to Fake Out or Protect as Whimsicott can lock them into those moves in the following turn. (I think there is a case to say "Encore is great for punishing both Fake Out from common non-Dark-type users such as Rillaboom and Mienshao, as well as more passive plays such as Protect and Substitute from Zacian-C or Calyrex-S." If you want to keep the point about Encore being more effective due to the Dynamax ban, that would probably be fine) As for the last move, Protect or Helping Hand should be considered as most teams in the current meta have 1-2 Fake Out users in the team. (This sorta segue doesn't really work for me, I'd rather we just spoke about the moves straight away) Protect helps in preventing Focus Sash from being broken as well as delaying opponent's offensive pressure while repositioning yourself to get a better momentum in the following turn. (I like the first part of this, but the second part is kinda just what Protect does for everything. I think that being able to shield against Fake Out, potentially guaranteeing Tailwind is the big thing. If we're going to talk about Protect at all, that's the main point to touch on) Helping Hand has a faster priority than Fake Out, in which Whimsicott can choose to use Helping Hand if you expect the opponent to Fake Out the Whimsicott. (I would reword this a bit to something like "Helping Hand allows Whimsicott to still support its partner, even when staring down common Fake Out users such as Rillaboom, Incineroar and Mienshao.") When paired with a strong attacker, Helping Hand also helps them to get more damage output especially against those who build their Pokemons' EV specifically to survive certain attacks. (This is very fluffy) As far as items go, people still mostly run Focus Sash on Whimsicott, due to its frailness being possibly OHKO'd by most super effective moves. However you might find Whimsicott with Mental Herb here and there to help against Taunt from a mirror match. (I think this needs to be reworded a bit. "Focus Sash makes up for Whimsicott's otherwise lackluster bulk, allowing it to survive [add examples here]. Mental Herb is an alternative, allowing it to shake off Taunt from the likes of Incineroar, Tornadus and opposing Whimsicott.")

(I think a paragraph about partners is really good here: i.e. what Pokemon benefit most from Tailwind, what Pokemon help Whimsicott out the most in achieving its goal e.g. Fake Out users, Fire-types for common Steels, Water-types for common Fires)

As stated before, usually you won't find Whimsicott as the carry of the team, and you'll often find it to be a supporting role, paired with Pokemons who have a high offensive pressure, whether in helping to get a speed control with tailwind, or help cover weaknesses with its Fairy/Grass STAB. (I don't feel this adds anything that we haven't said so there's no point in it)

The first analysis you write will always be the hardest, and this is a learning process. Don't hesitate to reach out to me or any other QC team member in the discord.

I'm really impressed with how far this came in just 1 QC check, seriously good job. Implement the last little things I've pointed out and then it's QC 1/1
