Project What's His / Her / Its / Their / Babyself Last? PU Edition (voting phase)

Bouffalant @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Megahorn

Bouffalant provides a strong check to electrics and special attackers in general, while supplying offensive pressure that alongside its ability let it get numerous switch in opportunities early game to wreak havoc. While it does not help with problems mons like golem or machoke it does wear them down as they come in to check it, which goes a long way towards helping arbok/monferno finish the game off. Back on the defensive side it'll be the main switch in to electrics, pursuit trapping them if it gets a safe switch in or using a hopefully provided SR + its pressure to wear them down by other means. Waters fearing lumineon will not use their stab so hastily and that will provide more opportunities to come in. Megahorn>Facade because it can be a last resort check to leafeon with it, especially if it switches in on leaf blade.

I was tempted to not post this cycle due to Anty semi-leaking her last partner in the good cores thread, but it was only an allusion 8) (She said this Pokemon was a good partner to the Arbokferno core).

Mr. Mime @ Life Orb
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Dazzling Gleam
- Focus Blast
- Healing Wish

Because we have got a core of Arbok and Monferno here, there are at least two Pokemon on the team that really love Healing Wish support. This was stated in *the good cores thread.*

However I'm not just using the Good Cores Thread to tell you why Mr. Mime is a good last for this team. That would be plagiarism tbh :/

So, what else does this team need? Well, the rest of the team really appreciates Healing Wish support too, as the team lacks any recovery. See: Metang, Lumineon.

As EnemyJurist stated, this team likes rocks, and it likes them to be kept up. This allows Arbok to get more kills than it would get otherwise. However, you don't need a spinblocker with Mr. Mime! It just OHKOs or 2HKOs all of the spinners in the tier, lol. (Besides Prinplup).

252 SpA Life Orb Mr. Mime Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Cryogonal: 221-260 (78.6 - 92.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Mr. Mime Dazzling Gleam vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Vullaby: 265-315 (77.2 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Mr. Mime Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Swanna: 231-273 (79.3 - 93.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Mr. Mime Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Armaldo: 192-227 (54.2 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Mr. Mime Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Vibrava: 205-244 (67.4 - 80.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Mr. Mime Psychic vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Lumineon: 181-214 (52.9 - 62.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

The last thing this team needs is another strong wallbreaker besides Rotom-F to allow Arbok or Monferno to sweep. Rotom-F, Monferno, and Mr. Mime actually complement each other really well. Monferno can set up on / kill the Steel Types that switch into Rotom-F and Mr. Mime. Rotom-F can kill the bulky waters that switch into Monferno. Anyway, they work well together. This is why Mr. Mime is a good fit for the last poke on the team :]

I'm going with:

Leafeon @ Life Orb
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
IVs: 29 HP
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Bullet Seed

Since it looks like Golem is one of this team main problems, I think Leafeon can be a pretty decent pick, since Bullet Seed + Life Orb it's enough to beat it without letting it get rocks on the field or maiming one of your team members... Even EQ+Stone Edge has little chance to KO Leafeon after SR which means that it can even get in once, even in a misprediction to beat Golem.

252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Bullet Seed (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Golem: 312-374 (103.6 - 124.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Also, is not bad against a few other Rockers-Leads:

Stunfisk:
252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Stunfisk: 276-328 (65.4 - 77.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Doesn't prevent the rocks, but you can just SD and plow right through it:
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Stunfisk: 549-647 (130 - 153.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Rampardos:
252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Bullet Seed (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rampardos: 286-344 (85.3 - 102.6%) -- approx. 6.3% chance to OHKO

More than that (70% probabilities) + 1,89% total probability of OHKOing with 2 hits, gives us 71,89% of OHKO... slightly more reliable than Focus Miss right?

Relicanth:
252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Leaf Blade vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Relicanth: 411-489 (101.9 - 121.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Physically defensive doesn't use Sash... maybe rain sweeper:

252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Bullet Seed (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Relicanth: 312-374 (91.4 - 109.6%) -- approx. 56.3% chance to OHKO
Hmmmmm again 70% + (56,3%*30%) = 86,89% for OHKOing it... now, more reliable than Fire Blast, right?

Probopass:
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Leafeon Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Probopass: 246-290 (75.9 - 89.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Hmmmm this might have a decent chance to beat Leafeon with Twave

0 SpA Probopass Power Gem vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Leafeon: 97-115 (35.7 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Maybe not...

So... While this leave the team a little bit weak against a few faster things, like Zebstrika, I think Leafeon can be good enough to be in that team!

Sorry about the delay, didn't feel like updating this on vacation. The winner is Kaboom! The next team is mine because I was too lazy to get someone else's, not my favorite but logical enough. What's my last?

CM sdef clef innovation

Relicanth @ Chople Berry
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Head Smash
- Waterfall
- Zen Headbutt
The defensive core seems weird given the rest of the team but I think Relicanth can help with some weaknesses, such as the lack of Normal resist meaning Stunfisk gets easily pressured and warn down. RP fits better than CB as the team already has a dedicated wallbreaker, but lacks a late game cleaner as Dodrio often gets warn down. Chople Berry + ZHB helps lure Machoke in and is helpful vs stuff like Stoutland/Ursaring, and the EVs are standard, max Speed is needed for Timid Electrode.

Lumineon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Defog
- U-turn

This team lacks hazard removal, while also having 2 mons such as dodrio and rotom who could get worn down easily by rocks, as well as lacking fire resists while having 2 mons weak to it, so I thought that lumineon could fill those "holes". The evs are pretty standard, with 8 on speed just to outspeed adamant pawn, uturn momentum is always helpful to lure in grass types and make rotom or dodrio come in easily and the rest of the moves are self explainatory.

Saying "warn down" triggers me, Anty. D:

This team needs both a normal resist and some sort of hazard removal at the same time, given Dodrio is going to be taking a lot from BB recoil + switching in and out of SR, but Armaldo wouldn't fit because it'd be hugely Floatzel weak at that point (with no Yache on Leafeon, since you're using Lum for Geist-XL, presumably).

That means in order to fix those problems, one mon would have to be replaced. A possible fix would be to use Cryogonal over SubWisp Rotom, with adding Anty's Relicanth. Relicanth would be able to take on variants of physical Floatzel, with Cryogonal checking special variants and Stunfisk beating things like Pawniard and Monferno for Cryogonal. Or, if that's not ideal, bulky Golem over Stunfisk + Lumineon + SubWisp Rotom-F or Golem + Politoed + Cryogonal, with specially defensive Clefairy changed to physically defensive CM.

Voting for Anty though.

This tied up so I'm calling tiebreak in favor of Anty because I actually used relicanth on the team. So he wins! I also do think relicanth is just honestly a better fit here, the lumineon reason is more just because it lacks removal, which does suck but isn't nearly as relevant for a team with SD leaf+subwisp rotom+offensive relicanth putting pressure than the lack of a normal resist here. The team isn't perfect and both leave a problem, but Relicanth is more effective at solving the current issues. Anyway, this next team was kindly provided by Rawmelon. What's his last?

Jumpluff and most other flying-types destroy this team, (as Golem is commonly used as a lead with weakness policy) so Rotom-F is here to save the day. It has the moves to effectively beat every single flying-type and also can pivot out to Glaceon and Dusknoir safely with Volt Switch, allowing them to wallbreak and sweep more efficiently. EVs allow it to hit as hard and be as fast as possible, as also outspeed various setup mons, such as Relicanth, Gorebyss, and Huntail after setup. It provides this team with the speed it needs. Physical Floatzel also provides a large issue, which Rotom is capable of swiftly revenge killing.

Hop on Lop (Lopunny) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Limber
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Frustration
- High Jump Kick
- Healing Wish
- Switcheroo

This team wants a Scarfer for a bit of speed control, yet does not have a way to remove entry hazards. Considering that Glaceon will be using Baton Pass in and out of SR, this means a scarfed mon that's weak to SR like Rotom-F, Chatot, and Dodrio would not fit especially well here. Mr. Mime is an alright option, as its Healing Wish would be quite nice to support Grumpig and Dusknoir to blanket check a plethora of Pokemon (as they are often spread thinly to do so; for example, offensive Grumpig is used to check Kadabra, Adamant Monferno, Rotom-F, Adamant Arbok, RP Regice, etc.), but the combination of Mr. Mime + Grumpig would negatively affect the team's type synergy. Additionally, what we have here is a team that is overall very threatening to Ghost-types, with Glaceon's Shadow Ball / Grumpig's Shadow Ball / Dusknoir / Golem's WP Sucker Punch all hitting them for high damage, and Roselia being able to wear down Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus effectively with Sludge Bomb.

There are a few Scarfers left that would fit these criteria of not being weak to SR, but also not producing type synergy problems (Simipour / Floatzel / Raichu), but the only one that clearly takes advantage of Ghosts being scared out while not being SR weak (unlike Dodrio and Chatot) is Lopunny. Other than Klang, the rest of the team handles Rock- and Steel-types quite well for it, so it makes for a nice fit especially given its Healing Wish lets Dusknoir and Grumpig continue to do their jobs as bulky offensive checks to Pokemon that are currently central to the meta (ex. Monferno, Rotom-F, etc.).
