Moltres-Galar @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Berserk
Level: 50
EVs: 92 HP / 252 SpA / 164 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Fiery Wrath
- Nasty Plot / Sucker Punch
- Hurricane / Air Slash
Galarian Moltres has proven itself to be a potent user of Weakness Policy and Dynamax through its respectable stats, defensive typing, and access to two excellent STAB Max Moves. This is thanks to the latest DLC reintroducing many Pokemon like Kartana, Metagross, and Cresselia as well as new faces like Spectrier that don't take Dark-type hits comfortably. It also takes advantage of Special Defense drops from Max Darkness to further increase its damage output. This EV spread allows Galarian Moltres to outspeed Adamant Landorus-T, with maximum Speed investment and, after a Max Airstream, maximum Speed Dragapult. Outside of Dynamax, +2 Fiery Wrath deals massive spread damage and can potentially flinch foes. Additionally, thanks to its natural bulk, Galarian Moltres can often find opportunities to set up with Nasty Plot, though Sucker Punch is a nice option on more offensive teams when finding the opportunity to set up is harder. Common partners that are able to activate Galarian Moltres's Weakness Policy are Comfey, Raichu, and Togedemaru. Comfey can also move before Follow Me with Triage Draining Kiss as well as Floral Healing to potentially stack multiple Berserk boosts, Raichu and Togedemaru offer Lightning Rod and Fake Out support.
