Whirlpool takes advantage of bulky water resists like Tangrowth and Amoonguss, as well as special walls like Celesteela and Chansey, and spreading status w/ Toxic and decimating would-be Toxic switchins like Tentacruel. It deals good chip damage to the aforementioned targets, opening up opportunities for teammates such as Zarude and Primarina to click their STABs without having to worry about being stonewalled by them. The speed EVs given let it outspeed Amoonguss to KO w/ Psyshock.

Although Assault Vest at first seems like overkill on Slowking, the additional bulk allows it to better check threats like Azelf and Choice Specs Primarina as well as be less vulnerable to being forced out and worn down across a game, and it means you can run a more offensive EV spread that provides actual offensive pressure. Scald and Future Sight are obvious choices, and Flamethrower is used to hit Grass- and Steel-types like Tangrowth, Zarude and Aegislash. Dragon Tail is another unique property to Assault Vest Slowking that can shuffle around the opposing team to attempt to force on additional Future Sight damage. This spread avoids the 2HKO from offensive Aegislash's Shadow Ball and unboosted Galarian Moltres's Fiery Wrath, but it is customisable.

Dragon tail allows it to beat many other pokemon who try to boost alongside it such as meteor beam celesteela, moltres-g, dd mence, and others such as polteigeist. This set works very well with hazards as it can constantly chain dragon tails to rack up a crap ton of chip damage

A very weird set that probably won't work well this gen as every damn Pokémon has access to U-Turn, Flip Turn and Teleport but that I had success with in gen 7 with Mega-Slowbro...

CM Block Slowking!

The 24 speed EVs are there to "guarantee" to outspeed typical Amoonguss.
Edit: Own Tempo can be used over Regen to try to beat Hurricane Salamence, even though crits from 252 SpA are too much to handle for poor King.

The main point of the set is to trap, set up on and/or PP stall passive Pokémon and thus dismantle defensive backbones or outright sweep teams.

The main foes it manages to trap and beat:
- Umbreon - gets stalled out of foul plays due to resting turns, it is faster and must wait a key turn before using Toxic as Slowking wakes up
- Defensive Salamence - Dual Wingbeat with Jolly 0 Atk tickles Slowking
- Amoonguss - it needs to crit giga drain multiple times to have a shot at winning 1v1, and it's key that Slowking is faster so it can rest freely without being spored before
- Celesteela - Slowking gets seeded and cannot sweep a team at +6/+6, but beats it comfortably as nor Heavy Slam nor Flamethrower deal any damage
- Skarmory - Slowking cannot get to +6 because it takes too much from +6 iron defense body press from Skarm. However it beats it 1v1.
- non-Teleport Chansey - can reach +6 and kill (cannot PP stall, must scald kill).
- non-whip AV Tangrowth - very hard matchup. Works only if you CM before blocking and Tangrowth stays in anyways. Vulnerable to crits.

Ok, but why should they get blocked?
Umbreon might want to wish for a teammate and stay in on unthreatening Slowking, Defensive Mence might not care for Slowking and defog or stay in to avoid going to a very defensive Pokémon on eventual teleport, Celesteela and Amoonguss might not fear a burn and want to Leech Seed/Spore (this is probably the iffy one), Skarmory might set up Spikes on a predicted Teleport and Chansey might want to set up Stealth Rock on Slowking which does not threaten it, and finally Tangrowth might want to Knock Off something on a Slowking switch out, get scared by a Calm Mind and panic staying in just to get blocked (this is also a very fictional scenario).

Sadly, unlike Mega-Bro, Slowking can get crit, and that plays a role in not being able to win some of the matchups.

Still, it might be a good lure for some particular situations.

The true Meme King, use Imprison to trip up other Slowking and ruin Teleport Chansey. Preventing Scald, Future Sight, and Teleport is crucial to the support of specific sweepers which this set can facilitate. Colbur Berry is an option over Boots to let it Teleport on many of its threats, but this isn't preferred as it lacks reliable recovery.

Speed creep is to get the fastest Imprison in most interactions, which will allow you to Teleport out after.

The mechanics of Future Sight are quite interesting. After using Future Sight, click Nasty Plot and deliver a devastating blow to anything in your way-- aside from Dark-types, of course. Slack Off and Teleport are competing slots, as Slack Off gives it reliable recovery but Teleport offers you a way out if your opponent is cheeky enough to switch into a Future Sight (which will happen most of the time, if it can happen).

I have a few variants, although my official submission will be Calm Mind. I don't believe anyone directly claimed Calm Mind so I'm sure it's allowed, but if not then my official submission will be Laser Sight. Just let me know.

Classic Calm Mind Slowbro, use your naturally great bulk with investment to set up on many foes and become a win condition. Colbur Berry allows you to get in the face of some Dark-types, and a speed investment of 12 creeps most Amoonguss who have to dedicated their investment to bulk.

Yawn Slowking

Here we have a pretty standard Slowking, but with the addition of Yawn, a move that can catch off guard careless switch-ins, you can generate free turns that are always appreciated. Also, it generates extra switch-outs, and this is a good thing when paired alongside hazard setters.
 
Passive Slowking

This Slowking is not trying to Future Port at all, and instead wants to stay in longer. It relies on Regenerator & Leftovers & Protect to heal back up.
It uses Toxic to catch unassuming switch ins off guard and uses Protect to rack up passive damage and scout potential choice locked moves.
Best on bulky teams with multiple Toxic users, that dont need FuturePort to get their breakers in as much and wear down the opponents through passive damage, like Skarmory with Spikes and Toxic.

Gotta like some good ol' lefties protect, passive Slowking. Also know as the only one this list that doesn't let keldeo potentially style on it
