On the tier trends poster, why does Xatu's usage not match the one recorded here when all the other ones do?

for real why do people insist on using swampert? i genuinely don't understand the love for this mon, its so bad
It's a Tran + Electrics check. It can get up reliable rocks, can spread toxics, can maintain momentum with Flip Turn and is generally difficult to kill at higher healths unless grass move or freeze dry. It has good niche in the current meta game and is not bad at all. The ground type competition is extremely stiff rn with both Lando and Chomp being top 3 mons in the tier but a decent amount of teams make use of Perts' talents reliably and consistently and I personally don't see it dropping to UU but it might. It's not bad by any stretch though. Not as good as the the other grounds but decent nonetheless.

Exeggutor-Alola could move from ZU to PU
Magmortar could move from ZU to PU
And here I was thinking that Marty had finally accepted ZUBL. I guess it was too good to be true. Either way, I’m interested to see how viable Aurorus will be in ZU with only Refrigerate, since its main use was obviously as a Hail setter with Snow Warning. Definitely could be a neat set, but as to how viable it will be, only time will tell.

Just peel off the bandage and increase Volt Tackle's distribution, Game Freak please Im begging you
Beg to ILCA, they’re developing Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, not Game Freak.
Hopefully the sinnoh remakes give evire some slack. I’m tellin ya, Swords Dance is all it needs to become at least decent in the lower tiers.
We just have to hope that Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl will be compatible with Sword & Shield. Hopefully Game Freak will release Version 1.4 for SwSh with compatibility with any Pokémon and move set changes BDSP brings that SwSh doesn’t currently have. If not we might have a repeat of the Let’s Go meta from last gen, or even just stick with the current Gen 4 metas, depending on how close BDSP sticks to the originals (and from what I’ve heard, the remakes are supposed to remain pretty faithful to the originals, so even if BDSP and SwSh are compatible, it’s unlikely Electivire will get a new move it doesn’t have in any other game). I guess we’ll have to see what ILCA and Game Freak choose to do in Late 2021.

More likely than not we’ll stick with SS. A meta with so few mons might be added(BDSP) as a side meta, but Idt it will replace the SS as the current gen, doesn’t seem like a good idea at least from a PS player’s standpoint. That being said I have no clue tbh, just speculating. Hopefully we can play BDSP with the SS mons, that’d be really interesting to see.
