Welcome to the fourth ZU Classic, a tournament celebrates ZU's history throughout the years. Players will compete in separate tournaments for the GSC, ADV, DPP, BW, ORAS, and SM generations, culminating in a finals where players will have to put their ZU Old Gens knowledge to the test to have a chance to win.
The format consists of six separate tournaments: the GSC Cup, ADV Cup, the DPP Cup, the BW Cup, the ORAS Cup, and the SM Cup. Each tournament is single elimination, best of three. Depending on your performance in a Cup, you will be awarded points. The point system is the same as the one used in Smogon Classic. When all the Cups have been finished, the eight players with the most points will advance to the playoffs. This year's format will still be a best-of-5. Higher seed choses the first tier and then the loser of each battle choses the next one.
Signups for each Cup will be posted a week after the signups for the previous Cup in ZU subforum. The hosts are allowed to play in the tournament that they are administering, as long as they elect someone else to create pairings. Here is the list of the Cups with the names of the hosts and the dates each will be posted:

- The DPP Cup - Hosted by Procrastinasian - April 18th
- The ADV Cup - Hosted by waterbend - April 25th
- The GSC Cup - Hosted by File 13 - April 25th
If there are any questions, post in this thread and I will answer them as well as I can. Do not use this thread as a venue to complain about the format. Also keep in mind that this thread is not place to sign up for the ZU Classic. Players wanting to participate in the ZU Classic must sign up for each individual Cup posted every week.
