Congratulations to our sixth winner!
:sm/marshadow:

According that what I said yesterday, we'll already start a new voting today. Despite the lower time frame, Marshadow managed to win this roumd with 11 votes! Arceus-Ground gets the second place with 2 votes, while Ultra Necrozma, Zygarde, and Primal Kyogre got 1 vote each.

These are our nominees for #7 (you can still click on them and see their nominations and why you should vote for that Pokémon):

Remember, those ranking are for the most influentional Pokémon on the meta, not the best, so, if you think that Primal Kyogre changes the Teambuilding more than Zygarde, but Zygarde is a better Pokémon, then you should vote for Kyogre. This rank also keeps in mind all of gen 7, not just USUM. So, while this doesn't make Pokémon the Necrozma formes and Marshadow unable to compete with the others, do keep in mind that they weren't here from the start.

To vote, you simply needs to say the name of the Pokémon you're voting for; you don't need to provide a motive, but that would be appreciated. Discussion during the voting stages also is encouraged.

With basically every Pokémon having a chance to claim the next place, it's becoming harder each day to choose a Pokémon, but, to me, Ultra Necrozma should win this time. Although Mega Gengar was the only Pokémon this gen that actually received a complex ban, Ultra Necrozma came close by being of the few Pokémon that was considered for a suspect at one point. Stall is considered the weakest of the 4 main playstyles of Ubers, and to some, it even became unviable, mostly due to Ultra Necrozma's presence being way too hard to deal with, as with SD and Outrage, even Dark-types like Mega Sableye struggle against it. Mega Gengar saw a ressurgence as an answer to it by being merely one point faster and trapping it, and actually became more used on said stall teams by sometimes replacing Mega Sableye. Scarf Yveltal and Sucker Punch Yveltal also became dominant forces because they could revenge kill Ultra Necrozma in a reliable way. Arceus-Dark became one of the main Arceus formes, partly due to its immunity to Light That Burns The Sky making it a extremely good answer to any Ultra Necrozma that lacks Outrage. Scarf Xerneas overcame Geomancy Xerneas as the main set for a time period partly due to Ultra Necrozma's influence, even though it wasn't the main one. Psyspam got a very good tool, as Ultra Necrozma became its main tool over Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-A, although Mega Mewtwo Y made a comeback at the end of the generation. Even Rayquaza lost some of its niche as a Z-Move wallbreaker, as Ultra Necrozma has better stats on most areas, and now abuses its mixed potential, Flying-type, and access to Dragon Dance more.

Arceus-Ground.

It's been big on the stage for all of Gen 7 for a long while. SD sets started off the gen strong, whereas support variants almost defined SM and Calm Mind variants started popping up in USM. It abuses the ubiquity of Primal Groudon simply by having a good Ice move and that alone makes it capable of holding strong grips on teambuilding, often times forcing another Ground resistance that could just get picked on by SD anyway.

Congratulations to our seventh winner!

Arceus-Ground wins round 7 with 9 votes, leaving Ultra Necrozma and Primal Kyogre behind with 3 and 1 vote each, respectively.

These are our nominees for #8 (you can still click on them and see their nominations and why you should vote for that Pokémon):

I'm going with Ultra Necrozma again for this round. Changed entirely how defensive team work, massively increased Mega Gengar and Yveltal usage, and stole the spotlight of other Psychic-types and even other setup sweepers.
