Tournament Rules:

• OM Grand Slam VIII information.
• The banlist for this tournament is the same as the NFE ladder on the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found on Smogon's strategy dex.
• Best of three, single elimination.
• If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
• Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
• S/V cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
• Replays are required.

Hate taking wins via activity, but Spacespeakers gave me the win so he could prepare for physics exams tomorrow despite wanting to move it to a later time. Sorry for missing the scheduled time on Sunday regardless of what you said, gl at the exams and other tours at least.

The teams I would be using if I were facing Spacespeakers. Still had the mindset of every momentum-based team should have a mite or eel for the Tinkatuff MU just because of how Tinkatuff makes it difficult to switch in due to Knock+Twave+Coverage makes it frustratingly difficult to switch in nor get good momentum out of it. And would still apply the post-ban as well.

I assume we're going to play in the post-Missy and Naclstack ban in this round right? Kris

Would it be insane that I build all these 5(6 actually but didn't finish the Toedscool x Pawn team) within yesterday and today without any tests? I had to heavily rely on using visualization to execute the interactions in my head. Well that's how I end up with these teams since I got denied most of my request for friendlies, but those who did play NFE tests with me just to know you guys are very appreciated even for a single match <3

I don't think I want to make a hugepost explaining the detail how I build the teams, so I'll briefly tell them at the next post at the NFE thread soon enough. I will comment that pivoting in NFE is extremely riskfree to the point I think it's kinda too stupid.. Also mite x insane setup mons that are highkey gatekept by Tinkatuff are still legit. Vigoroth lowkey a problem too, but I'll explain that in the post as well.

I am so glad that I won all the rounds by using different teams every match, and I'll probably continue doing it in the next NFE tours to avoid lazyness :p
