Simisear @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sunny Day
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast

use sunny day on a predicted switch and then use one of the coverage options depending on matchup. for this particular set, use solar beam when against water types (whose water-type moves do less damage in the sun) on the switch

252 SpA Life Orb Simisear Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Simipour: 455-538 (156.3 - 184.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Simisear Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Floatzel: 484-569 (155.6 - 182.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Simisear Solar Beam vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Politoed: 281-333 (73.3 - 86.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Fire Blast
- Knock Off / Grass Knot
- Focus Blast
- Gunk Shot

Simisear has a decent movepool, but it does struggle to make good use of some of it's moves. Gunk Shot, however, is a move that Simisear can use to pretty good effect, especially in the current meta. Gunk Shot's main niche is threatening Clefairy, a rising threat and a really good check to standard LO Simisear due to Eviolite boosting it's defenses, making it tank Fire Blasts quite nicely and cripple Simisear with Thunder Wave. While Simisear can break through it with Nasty Plot sets, this set aims to lure in Clefairy and take off it's Eviolite with Knock Off, and then proceed to OHKO it with Gunk Shot. However, if you decide to use Grass Knot, Gunk Shot still reliably 2HKOs SpD Clefairy, crippling it for the rest of the match as Knock Off would do. Gunk Shot also proceeds nice neutral coverage in general, and also can threaten some other Simisear checks, such as Grumpig and Altaria, as it does over 40% to them, 2HKOing both of them after SR if it's their offensive sets, which is very useful in the case of Grumpig as it commonly runs Colbur Berry to take Knock Offs these days. Overall, while it's not the best move choice on it, Gunk Shot Simisear still has a niche in threatening some of it's common checks thanks to hitting Fairy-types super effectively and it's high 120 Base Power.

4 Atk Life Orb Simisear Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Clefairy: 265-312 (77 - 90.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 Atk Life Orb Simisear Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Clefairy: 393-463 (114.2 - 134.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO (If you Knock Off it's Eviolite on the switch-in)

4 Atk Life Orb Simisear Gunk Shot vs. 160 HP / 0 Def Grumpig: 157-186 (46 - 54.5%) -- 96.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
4 Atk Life Orb Simisear Gunk Shot vs. 160 HP / 0 Def Grumpig: 157-186 (46 - 54.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock (If it's the Colbur set)

4 Atk Life Orb Simisear Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Altaria: 121-143 (41.5 - 49.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
4 Atk Life Orb Simisear Gunk Shot vs. 68 HP / 0 Def Altaria: 121-143 (39.2 - 46.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Simisear @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Flame Charge
- Fire Blast
- Knock Off
- Focus Blast/Superpower

I was originally going to post a scarf set, but looking at Simisear's movepool it's be a shame to choice lock that thing. Flame Charge allows it to pick off weakened mons or pokes like Leafeon, Regice, (non scarf) Mr Mime etc, if they're at about half health. +1 Sear reaches 496 speed, outspeeding the entire PU meta except stuff like Sand Rush Stout or Scarf Raichu. The rest of the moveset opts for s strong STAB in Fire Blast, Knock Off for potential switch ins (like Clefairy or Ninetales) and ghosts/Grumpig while Focus Blast/Superpower are for normals such as Audino or Bouf.

Basically Flame Charge for a potential sweep or cleaning.

5gen, of 3 sets I'd never want to use that seems like I might slap it onto a semi joke team. Seriously though if we're running out of mons that don't have any decent other options maybe just put the thread on hiatus, because forcing through some submissions that you'd never ever use like sunnybeam when it gets grass knot is kinda lame. Just my 2 cents
e: not trying to call out anybody's sets, that's just how the thread's been going
