Hey, earlier today I was testing a new set on zapdos that looked promising, but was let down when it didn't work.
Zapdos
Evs: Not necessary
-Hp Ice
-Roost
-Thunder
-Charge
Now many people ask, why charge? Well charge "Should" double the base damage for electric attacks on the next turn AS well as raise special defense one level? Eh eh, sound good doesn't?
Well after testing it to see how viable it was, I noticed something was not working, Charge was not doing what it was supposed to do. After using both Thunder with and without charge being in effect I saw it only raised the special defense and did not improve the attack of thunder at all.
Perhaps I over looked something, but as far as I know, the move was not working properly.
The match went like this.
--------------------------
Before charge:
Zapdos used Thunder.
Sphinx lost 36% of its health.
Sphinx is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Zapdos lost 10% of its health.
Sphinx is paralysed! It can't move!
The rain continues to fall.
Sphinx's leftovers restored its health a little!
Sphinx restored 6% of its health.
Then after charge:
Zapdos used Charge.
Zapdos's special defence was raised.
Zapdos is charging power!
Sphinx used Moonlight.
Sphinx restored 25% of its health.
The rain continues to fall.
Sphinx's leftovers restored its health a little!
Sphinx restored 6% of its health.
---
Zapdos used Thunder.
Sphinx lost 38% of its health.
Zapdos lost 10% of its health.
Sphinx used Moonlight.
Sphinx restored 25% of its health.
The rain continues to fall.
Sphinx's leftovers restored its health a little!
Sphinx restored 6% of its health.
See the problem?
Charge: Doubles the power of any Electric-type move used by this Pokémon next turn. Boosts the user's Special Defense one stage.
So, I believe the move is glitched, or at least needs to be looked at, thanks.
