The defensive natures of Grass-types shows strong in this round, with Ronan preemptively creating a doll like Substitute to absorb Morgan le Fey's weak Rapid Spin! Ronan then continues his defensive play by allowing the plant like structures in his cells to Synthesize hormones, proteins, and sugars, drastically improving his healing process. Bounsweet takes a cue from Ronan and also goes on the defensive, projecting a hard wall of light that will Reflect and absorb physical damage. Finally, Ronan goes on the offensive with a weak Pluck attack, which is buffered by the wall of light to become even weaker. In return, Bounsweet charges at Ronan for a Play Rough, but mangles the Substitute instead!.
Lack of strong SE movesr leads both players to take a more defensive approach, with Azelfie gaining a health lead while Caliber takes control of the field. Both sides are even, with Azelfie's substitute still up and Caliber's removal of Spikes and set up of Reflect.

With a flap of his wings, Ronan sends a gust of wind to Defog away Reflect from the field, while Morgan le Fay breaks his Substitute doll with a twirling Rapid Spin. Unwilling to go without his doll, Ronan sets up another Substitute, which Morgana attempts to Play Rough with but misses! Ronan then relieves himself of duty and Baton Passes to Whiplash, while Morgana le Fey continues to Play Rough with the Substitute doll.
Azelfie keeps up their defensive play and totally eschews attacking this round, preferring to utilize Baton Pass to bring in Litten behind a Substitute. While this did burn a great deal of Rowlet's energy, Azelfie is now in the best position possible to murder Caliber's Bounsweet with a Litten.

Whiplash makes a sudden movement and Fakes Out Morgan le Fay, causing her to flinch!! Taking advantage of the opponent, Whiplash bites her neck and drains some of her health with a Leech Life! In response, Morgan le Fay focus energy into her leaves to send a flurry of Extra Sharp Razor Leaves at Whiplash, viciously shredding his poor doll! To revenge the hand-me-down doll, Whiplash jumps the exhausted Morgan le Fay, mauling her with her Fire Fangs!
Litten is a bully, and proves it by dismantling the poor Bounsweet. Caliber is forced to play into a substitution and use a combination attack just to break Litten's Substitute, demonstrating how mismatched Bounsweet vs Litten is. Will Litten pounce on Bounsweet or does Caliber have something in mind for our fire cat?

Despite having been pushed to their last Pokemon, Caliber is making Azelfie work to maintain their lead. Monohm's advantageous typing and wide movepool means it can beat both Litten and Bounsweet in a 1v1, but the question of the day is if it can beat both consecutively.

Indignation begins the round ready and roaring to give Ronan an early frost...but topples forward in its confusion, smashing its face into the ground! Ronan takes this bullet dodging experience as a chance to prepare a Substitute doll for Indignation to beat up, which is just in time to absorb a jet of Flamethrower from the now angry dragon! Ronan tries to repay the destruction of his doll by sending an Ominous Wind creeping at Indignation, who tanks the hit with ease! Indignation is now ready to repay Ronan for the hit, as its confusion has been cleared, but Struggles as it realizes it never knew Ice Beam! Ronan follows up on Indignation's ineffectiveness with a Shadow Claw!
Caliber gave up a lot of damage this round by ordering Monohm to use Ice Beam, a move it does not know! Despite this, Azelfie is still losing the damage and energy race! Monohm is just too scary! Now Rowlet is in 2HKO range of Monohm. Is there anyway for Azelfie to get out of this?
