Spread Compendium

Banner by Albatr0ss
This thread's purpose is to show creative and effective spreads outside of the typical standard ones with two maximum investment. Submissions can be from any Pokemon as long as they are ranked in the current Viability Rankings.

Rules:

1. Include a well written description when sharing spreads, if there is no description they will not be considered in being added to the compendium.
2. Reserving spreads are pointless here and should mostly be your own made spreads, however, if you made it with someone make sure to include them.
3. Only submit spreads in here or anything related to submitted spreads, anything unrelated would be deleted or ask in PMs for any questions or regards.
4. Do not submit a spread of just Max / 4 / Max which goes against this thread.
5. Please be respectful with others, feel free to add anything to submitted spreads or any questions regarding them.
6. Calcs aren't mandatory but can be nice to include in description.

Use this as a format for when making post and here is an example of well written post:
:ss/tornadus-therian:
Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 92 SpD / 168 Spe
Timid Nature
- Heat Wave / Hurricane
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Toxic / Defog
The speed tier on Tornadus-T allows it to be faster than Adamant Weavile, while the remaining evs are dumped into Special Defense. The investment into Special Defense allows for Tornadus-T be able to live a Psychic and Psyshock from Choice Specs Tapu Lele and Fire Blast from unboosted Offensive Volcarona. When facing against Kyurem if you remove Choice Specs you have a slight chance from barely getting OHKO by Modest Ice Beam, really helpful as lead matchups at the start of games.

252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 183-216 (50.6 - 59.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Tornadus-Therian in Psychic Terrain: 283-334 (78.3 - 92.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian in Psychic Terrain: 306-361 (84.7 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 320-378 (88.6 - 104.7%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 116 SpD / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
116 Special Defense lets Landorus-T live +1 Fire Blast from offensive Volcarona after rocks as well as better switching into Heatran's Magma Storm. The Speed investment makes you be faster than Heatran and the rest is dumped into Defense to be able to switch into Zeraora and Garchomp.

by Tysonslayer

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 152 SpD / 88 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock / Protect
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Knock Off / U-Turn
88 Speed hits 240 speed, outspeed Adamant Bisharp and everything below (if Black Glasses Bisharp SD's on the switch in, it's a 62% shot to be OHKO'd by +3 Sucker Punch, so some SpDef EVs can be shoved into Defense to dodge that, but if LO Bisharp becomes the standard then regular PhysDef Lando-T is superior). More speed to beat stuff like max Speed Heatran is totally valid too, but cutting from the SpDef investment kinda ruins the point of this as opposed to standard PhysDef Lando-T IMO.

Impish nature + 16 Defense (saves a few EVs compared to a +SpDef nature) is still enough to dodge the OHKO from CB Melmetal's Double Iron Bash after Intimidate, and also still check Garchomp/Zeraora quite well. 152 SpDef lets this set dodge the OHKO from Specs Dragapult's Draco Meteor, Specs Lele's Psychic, and the 2HKO from Specs Koko's Dazzling Gleam, Offensive Zapdos' Hurricane, and Mixed LO Garchomp/Dracozolt's Draco Meteor, and a bunch of other stuff.

Rocks over Protect for role compression, but Protect is REALLY nice for scouting out moves/potential choice-locked mons and grabbing that juicy Leftovers recovery which comes in handy quite a bit on the fatter builds that this kind of set would be best on IMO.

by TURBODERP

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 224 SpD / 28 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Heavy Slam
Outpseeds Skarmory and guarantee's 2HKO on physdef cm clef

by Abhi

Clefable @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpA / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder
This spread always lives 2 defensive Landorus-T EQ's, OHKO's Toxapex at +1 with rocks up, and has a bit of speed to creep Tyranitar. It also always OHKO's Garchomp unboosted

by Fc

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 160 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird / Body Press
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
This investment is geared mostly toward alleviating pressure more directly against Kyurem, Dragapult, and Tapu Lele while having a backup option against both variants of Weavile. Defense was the primary stat that was invested into, optimized to live two back-to-back Knock Offs from Adamant Choice Band Weavile while assuring the survival of +2 Triple Axel after Stealth Rock damage. The rest goes into Special Defense to further alleviate pressure against Special wallbreakers, which is prominent against Kyurem's Freeze-Dry, Tapu Lele's Modest Specs Psychic, and Dragapult's Shadow Ball after Stealth Rock damage save for Special Defense drops. I considered Stealth Rock to be an active variable as Corviknight is a Pokemon that switches frequently into Stealth Rock given its role of hazard control in many archetypes.

The concept behind this spread was to play more into Corviknight's Special bulk, as generally, it's fairly straightforward to blanket check a lot of physical wallbreakers in the metagame outside of Urshifu-R and Weavile, but far more difficult to compress reliable answers to Special wallbreakers. Corviknight's standard 88 SpDef spread is a pretty easy go-to but has the ability to be overwhelmed fairly easily by most if not all Special wallbreakers with the added pressure of Stealth Rock and Urshifu-R/Kartana overload.

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Atk / 64 Def / 28 SpD / 28 Spe
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- U-turn
- Defog
Enough attack to always OHKO 248/8 Volcarona and gives you a roll on full health Rillaboom, enough Sp.def to always avoid a 2HKO from specs lele psychic after rocks with leftovers, enough speed for 0 invest Skarmory so you can't be taunted, and rest in Phys.Def for its normal targets. Still enough defense to live 2 CB Kart Sacred Swords with rocks up and Leftovers still attached so it functions well.

by Fc

Garchomp @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 136 HP / 252 SpD / 120 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Tomb
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic / Rest
This one is a Garchomp spread that I save only for teams that are really vulnerable to Heatran because you know, Heatran is annoying. The given ev spread is to outrun timid Nidoking while maximizing spdef with the rest being dumped into hp. Toxic or rest depends on what you prefer. Surprisingly, this ev spread also lives Tornadus' hurricane after nasty plot while being able to handle offensive Volcarona quite nicely

by Red Raven

Slowking @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Teleport
- Slack Off
this one doesn't give up that much Special Defense letting you switch into Modest Nidoking and Tapu Lele's Psyshocks fairly well, while the Defense investment is helpful in taking Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R as well as Liquidation under rain from Barraskewda.

by Tysonslayer

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Knock Off
- Recover
- Haze
- Toxic Spikes / Scald
Since Toxapex gets knocked during the game anyway, this spread helps it take less from +2 Knock Off from Weavile than Recovery can heal.

by Abhi

Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 92 Atk / 232 SpD / 128 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Icicle Spear
- Substitute
- Roost
Here's my favorite spread for SubDD Kyurem. 56 HP is for the 101HP Substitute, and in conjunction with 232 SpD, it brings uninvested Clef's Moonblast down to a 3HKO which makes Pressure stalling it much easier (56/232 is something from an old spread Jordy made). 128 Spe w/ Jolly gives you the jump on Zera after one DD, and the remainder is put into Atk to improve rolls with Icicle Spear.

SubDD Kyu is still very niche and you'd only want to use this set on semi-stall or some other team with a way to weaken/remove Steel-types, but on those teams it can PP stall a certain check then sweep.

by BoomFantastic

Slowking-Galar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 56 SpA / 24 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Future Sight
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
there's a lot of investment into Defense letting you avoid getting OHKO from defensive Landorus-T with no hazards up in the field, and with the Special Attack is enough investment to OHKO no Special Defense investment Landorus-T with Ice Beam. The remainder gets dumped into Special Defense, but this spread is really situational and would recommend this if you want to catch Landorus-T immediately or your Ground immunity doesn't like switching into Landorus-T that much.

by Tysonslayer

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 116 SpD / 140 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Draining Kiss
- Taunt
Tapu Fini can opt to run more Speed to get the jump on Adamant Bisharp and Max Speed Magnezone while retaining some bulk; this set gets 3HKOed by Specs Pult's Shadow Ball, for example.

by Windingsss

Tapu Koko @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 12 HP / 32 Def / 248 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Dazzling Gleam
- U-turn
- Roost
This spread takes two Plasma Fists after SR (if you loose Boots) while still outspeeding Weavile. It's not much, but it's a small insurance against Zeraora that doesn't cost you basically anything because Koko still outspeeds everything relevant (only losing speed ties against opposing Koko, but that's still decent for slower U-turn) and you don't lose attacking power.

by SLDR

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 92 SpD / 168 Spe
Timid Nature

The speed tier on Tornadus-T allows it to be faster than Adamant Weavile, while the remaining evs are dumped into Special Defense. The investment into Special Defense allows for Tornadus-T be able to live a Psychic and Psyshock from Choice Specs Tapu Lele and Fire Blast from unboosted Offensive Volcarona. Tornadus-Therian @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Timid Nature
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 136 HP / 204 Def / 168 Spe
- Hurricane / Heat Wave
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Toxic / Defog
168+ speed for kartana / adamant weavile, the EVs repartition between hp and def allows Torna-T to live a Plasma Fist of Zeraora and toxic him, he avoids the 2ohko from scarf Kartana's smart strike and to surging strikes of band urshifu, he can also tank Stone Edge of LO Garchomp ( while the full pv must have the roll which is in his disfavor ), he also avoids the ohko of +2 Rillaboom's Knock Off if you decide to play no Hurricane or if you wanna have more chance to hit him with it

by Pheo'

Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Def / 16 SpA / 88 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Roost
- Flamethrower
- Psychic / Safeguard
ou have enough speed to outspeed Zeraora at +1 after a Quiver Dance while naturally outpacing Modest Nidoking and Adamant Rillaboom. 16 Special Attack EVs guarantee the KO on Rillaboom with Flamethrower, and then the rest goes into Defense for emergency checking Rillaboom and Kartana while having the nifty ability to take on things like Buzzwole and Melmetal without really breaking too much of a sweat.

by ausma

Buzzwole @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 164 Atk / 92 Def / 252 Spe
Impish Nature
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Leech Life
- Roost
Avoids 2HKO from Choice Band Kartana Smart Strike after Stealth Rocks, which can be pretty useful in a pinch especially if youre main Kartana switch in is Buzzwole. This is defense boost tho so its more defensively inclined.

by Abhi

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 236 HP / 28 Atk / 236 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Rock Slide
8 Speed outspeed pads melmetal, which might save you the game against one for such little investment.
With defensive pokèmon in general, be aware if their speed tier is usually targeted by bulkier offensive mons, even if its very specific, because something as little as 8 evs can result in a huge difference.
28 Atk EVs ensure different things. 4 EVs -> Zeraora gets OHKOd in sand // 12 EVs -> 0/4 Excadrill gets OHKOd // 28 EVs -> Nidoking gets OHKOd (which is relevant since spdef hippo actually takes non-ice beam variant one quite nicely)
236 HP reach 416 which is a leftovers number (if the HP stat is a multiple of 16, it means that Leftovers will actually recover 1/16 of its HP - it's always slightly less than 1/16 otherwise because of approximation) and actually provides slightly better special bulk than going full HP and rest in spdef. If a defensive mon has high hp/low defense, prioritise defense EVs.

by SLDR

Hydreigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 184 HP / 76 SpA / 248 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
- Roost
the 248 Speed with Timid makes you faster than Urshifu-R don't go any lower, and the HP EVs avoid 3HKO from Choice Specs Blacephalon Flamethrower and let's you live Iron Heads from Choice Band Bisharp after two rounds of Stealth Rocks.

by Tysonslayer

Magnezone @ Assault Vest
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 16 HP / 156 SpA / 252 SpD / 84 Spe
Modest Nature

IVs: 0 Atk
- Mirror Coat
- Discharge
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
AV Magnezone, this is my favourite partner for volc and i absolutely adore this set, ofc you cant fit this on every team but its fun on the ones it does fit on.

Speed outspeeds Skarm.

by Abhi

Scizor @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 116 Def / 144 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Roost
bulky scizor is used as an offensive check to lele and kyurem on the special side, weavile and rillaboom on the physical side.
144 SpD makes it take 2 psychic from timid specs lele without rng. notably, it also takes two ice beams from modest specs kyurem after rocks if it has previously lost its boots.
116 Def Imphish accomplished all sorts of stuff: takes two unboosted eqs from leftovers chomp (85% of the time after rocks) and two plasma fists from zeraora after rocks, lives +2 knock from sd weavile and lives anything that cb rilla tries to throw at him. unfortunately, if scizor switches into a weavile that clicks sd, it has a very very very slim chance to lose the 1v1 because bullet punch doesn't ohko and +2 knock into +2 shard has a low chance to ko scizor. 128 Def Imphish prevents that, but you miss out on Lele's Psychic.

by SLDR

Scizor @ Metal Coat
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 64 Atk / 172 SpD / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / U-turn
- Roost
172 Special Defense lets you switch into Modest Kyurem's Ice moves even if you get knocked in case you do run boots, and also take two Hurricanes from Pivot Torandus-T. Speed lets be faster than Corviknight with no Speed investment with a neutral nature if you are running Knock Off, but drop speed and dump it into attack if you decided to go U-Turn with 30 Speed IVs for being slower than other Scizor. Attack investment is the main giveway to this set when paired with Metal Coat greatly increases the damage of Bullet Punch and favorable rolls against Calm Mind Clefable, Nidoking, SubRoost Kyurem, and Tornadus-T. This basically lets you be even more of a threat against offensive teams and an amazing win-condition.

Tapu Bulu @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Atk / 84 SpD / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge / Taunt
136 speed to outspeed 219 magnezone ( with 36+ you have the 100% ohko on the specs with close combat), the bulk repartition allows bulu to live to Tornadus-T's Hurricane ( not offensive ) after rocks, avoids the ohko of Heatran's Magma Storm and Volcarona's Flamethrower ( the offensive ), and he also avoids to specs Dragapult's flamethrower ( while the full offensive doesn't ) , to Zapdos's Hurricane and the Psychic of Specs Tapu Lele.

by Pheo'

Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 220 HP / 8 Atk / 112 Def / 32 SpD / 136 Spe
Impish Nature

or

Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 220 HP / 88 Atk / 112 Def / 32 SpD / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Synthesis
The HP number is divisible by 16, meaning that Grassy Terrain and Leftovers recovery percentage is maximized, giving you the most bang for your buck. The Defense EVs and Impish nature make CB Urshifu's CC do 37.5% max, meaning it will never 3HKO Bulu outside of terrain. The SpDef EVs make it so that Boots Koko never 3HKOes with Dazzling Gleam outside of Grassy Terrain (another 37.5% max roll). Now, the speed EVs is where these two sets differ. 136 Spe always outspeeds Modest Magnezone, and you're doing 68.3% min with unboosted CC, so if Magnezone is chipped or you are at +2, that's a dead Magnezone. The spread on the right outspeeds 0 Speed Heatran, which is becoming increasingly common over speedy variants. That being said, I would creep at least a few points over to be safe (taking out of Attack), but I made this spread discussing Bulky Bulu for an analysis set with QC and speed creep isn't allowed on the Dex. Magma Storm does 96.4% max. Because of this, you can 1v1 Heatran without Crits, as Grassy Terrain and leftovers go before Magma Storm damage.

by Clone

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Atk / 56 Def / 64 SpA / 76 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Rock Blast
Enough HP and Phys.Def to always live Adamant max attack Landorus-T Earthquake, and the Sp.Atk to OHKO 0 bulk Landorus-T with Ice Beam. The Sp.Def lives +2 Volcarona Bug Buzz in sand always, and the attack is leftover but it also lets it essentially always OHKO Choice Specs Dragapult after sand chip.

Gastrodon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 208 HP / 224 Def / 56 SpD / 20 Spe
Relaxed Nature
- Scald / Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Recover
A bit more intricate EV spread, going for physical defense to soft check some Ground types while dealing with Zera a lot better and still handling Koko in style.
20- Spe to outspeed Toxapex. You don't need to outspeed CM Reuni/Hat without Clear Smog. If you want to run that, remove 4 EVs from Def and put them into Spe.
208 HP / 56 SpD is the most optimal combination of EVs to have max physical bulk while avoinding 3HKO from Koko's Gleam.
224+ Def for max physical bulk

Ice Beam would be for those Ground types.

Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Scorching Sands
- Toxic / Hurricane / Defog
- Roost
I started with enough Special Attack EVs to OHKO Rillaboom with Flamethrower and 2HKO Specially Defensive Bulk Up Corviknight, which although not common, is embarrassing to lose against 1v1. It also has the benefit of 2HKOing Specially Defensive Heatran with Scorching Sands and OHKOing Volcarona with Hurricane assuming it hasn't started boosting yet. I personally run Toxic over Hurricane to put Volcarona on a timer assuming no Safeguard. The Special Defense EVs are there to ensure that Volcarona doesn't 2HKO with Psychic at +1. The Speed EVs are to outspeed Modest Aegislash and Adamant Bisharp. The rest of the EVs are thrown into HP and Defense to offer better protection against physical attackers like Kartana and Rillaboom.

To start this thread off going to begin with a couple of spreads I've been using

:ss/landorus-therian:
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 116 SpD / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off

This spread I made myself, 116 Special Defense lets Landorus-T live +1 Fire Blast from offensive Volcarona after rocks as well as better switching into Heatran's Magma Storm. The Speed investment makes you be faster than Heatran and the rest is dumped into Defense to be able to switch into Zeraora and Garchomp.

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Teleport
- Slack Off

There's a lot of variations of Slowking with different investment in Defense and Special Defense, this one doesn't give up that much Special Defense letting you switch into Modest Nidoking and Tapu Lele's Psyshocks fairly well, while the Defense investment is helpful in taking Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R as well as Liquidation under rain from Barraskewda.

:ss/hydreigon:

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 184 HP / 76 SpA / 248 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
- Roost

This spread is something that is being use a lot lately, basically the 248 Speed with Timid makes you faster than Urshifu-R don't go any lower, and the HP EVs avoid 3HKO from Choice Specs Blacephalon Flamethrower and let's you live Iron Heads from Choice Band Bisharp after two rounds of Stealth Rocks.

Tapu Koko @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 12 HP / 32 Def / 248 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature

Tapu Koko spread for teams that suffers Zeraora a bit too much.

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 12 HP / 32 Def Tapu Koko in Electric Terrain: 105-124 (36.9 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Lash Out

This is a spread I used sometime ago when I wasn't trying to see how far up the ladder I can go and was just trying to use some underrated mons. This set allows Tyranitar to be the wall breaker it once. The speed investment is to outrun impish Corviknight while the rest is dumped into hp while maximizing attack

:leftovers::ss/Garchomp::leftovers:
Garchomp @ Leftovers

+2 252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 136 HP / 252 SpD Garchomp: 280-331 (71.6 - 84.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 136 HP / 252 SpD Garchomp: 199-235 (50.8 - 60.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I mess around w the calc a lot so this thread is great (although most of it is w more niche mons)

first off
:ss/tornadus-therian:
Tornadus-Therian @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Def / 20 SpD / 168 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Hurricane
- Defog
- Taunt / Knock Off / Nasty Plot

Well basically it lives one Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic, Timid Choice Specs Lele fwiw but it can still be useful in certain situations and its a pretty small investment.

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 20 SpD Tornadus-Therian in Psychic Terrain: 306-361 (84.5 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:ss/buzzwole:
Buzzwole @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 164 Atk / 92 Def / 252 Spe
Impish Nature

- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Leech Life

Avoids 2HKO from Choice Band Kartana Smart Strike after Stealth Rocks, which can be pretty useful in a pinch especially if youre main Kartana switch in is Buzzwole. This is defence boost tho so its more defensively inclined but I do like it.

It can take a Shadow Ball from Pult and then take another one incase it gets SpDef dropped, Speed is for SpDef Heatran cuz suprisingly it can actually 1v1 tran if it outspeeds, power of flinches ig.

FWIW Togekiss is in no way a tran switch in this is only incase Heatran switches in so it can 1v1 it with relative ease.

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 148+ SpD Togekiss: 117-138 (31.2 - 36.8%) -- 71.6% chance to 3HKO

You wanna run a ghost res w togekiss anyway cuz it cant do much after switching in unless youre running Twave which is ok but not that great cuz Nasty Plot plus Heal Bell can greatly help its MU vs stall and also break teams w corv easier since it rlly needs Nasty Plot to not be pp stalled by Corv.

This is my utility Moltres spread.

28+ SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Rillaboom: 356-420 (104.3 - 123.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

A lot of people tend to run Max HP with their Bulkarona spreads, but I'd like to share this spread as it's in my opinion one of the more optimal ones out there, especially in comparison to pure Max Speed variants. You have enough speed to outspeed Zeraora at +1 after a Quiver Dance while naturally outpacing Modest Nidoking and Adamant Rillaboom. 16 Special Attack EVs guarantee the KO on Rillaboom with Flamethrower, and then the rest goes into Defense for emergency checking Rillaboom and Kartana while having the nifty ability to take on things like Buzzwole and Melmetal without really breaking too much of a sweat. It's a spread that isn't best as a solo check to these Pokemon but as an option to alleviate pressure for defensive teammates while expanding the pool of Pokemon that Volcarona can safely boost against.

16 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Rillaboom: 342-404 (100.2 - 118.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Volcarona: 240-282 (64.3 - 75.6%) -- approx. 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Melmetal Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Volcarona: 221-261 (59.2 - 69.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Buzzwole Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Volcarona: 145-171 (38.8 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

For those of you wanting to try your hand at spreads, always use a boosting nature for the higher base stat. This is important to know, because with Natures, the boost is not a set amount. Instead, the stat gains are dependent on the base stat. This variant of Bulkarona is a great example of that; with this spread in particular, if you attempt to run Bold as your boosting nature, you end up with 198 vs Timid's 205 defense, with the exact same speed and a difference of 7 Defense, which can make a difference especially in matchups where you want just a bit of extra HP for assurance. I just wanted to share that quickly for anybody interested in custom spreads! I love what I'm seeing here so far! :>

Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 192 SpD / 64 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Draining Kiss
- Taunt

With this spread, Tapu Fini can outspeed defensive Heatran and all Pokemon below, offering more setup opportunities and making it a better Heatran answer. The rest is dumped into HP and SpD to have a better matchup vs Dragapult, getting 4HKOed by Shadow Ball.

:tapu-fini:
Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 116 SpD / 140 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Draining Kiss
- Taunt

However, Tapu Fini can opt to run more Speed to get the jump on Adamant Bisharp and Max Speed Magnezone while retaining some bulk; this set gets 3HKOed by Specs Pult's Shadow Ball, for example.

----------

:tapu-fini:
Tapu Fini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 48 SpD / 208 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Defog
- Trick

Scarf Tapu Fini doesnt need max Speed on its Scarf sets; it only needs 208 Evs to outspeed the fastest Pokemon in the tier, Zeraora, meaning it can dump some evs into SpD to deal better with Dragapult and Heatran.

----------
The spreads are actually quite simple and i didnt found a way of making the explanations larger, sorry if thats a problem :psycry:

spdef grounds are rising in popularity due to heatran and volcarona because they usually still retain usefulness against zeraora and enjoy having better matchup vs koko. hippo is no exception, as it's the only one with reliable recovery and decent bulk to withstand 2 specs pult's shadowballs without rng. since 252/252 is boring af and there's some cool interactions changes with small investments, here there are.
Conversely, if the defensive mon has low hp/high defense, prioritise HP EVs. This optimize your overall ability to take damage from that side of the spectrum.

bulky scizor is used as an offensive check to lele and kyurem on the special side, weavile and rillaboom on the physical side.
+2 252 Atk Weavile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 128+ Def Scizor: 240-283 (69.9 - 82.5%) into +2 252 Atk Weavile Ice Shard vs. 248 HP / 128+ Def Scizor: 50-59 (14.5 - 17.2%) = 85.4 - 99.7

Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock / Protect

From my SpDef Lando-T spread back in January.

AV Bisharp I first saw posted by SLDR, I changed the EVs a bit since Heatran is pretty well covered on my teams, so this spread hits 210 speed (just above Adamant Crawdaunt). This is a pretty good check to many special attackers like Dragapult/Tapu Lele/G-Slowking, and discourages Defog from Corviknight/Mandibuzz/Zapdos (dodges the 2HKO from Defensive Zapdos' Heat Wave most of the time while +2 Knock Off KO's after rocks [which isn't super uncommon if Zapdos comes in after having HDB removed earlier]). You also live one Specs Kyurem Earth Power (even Modest you live more than 90% of the time) from full too, which is nice.

So couple of things I want to address, first things first we added the first batch of spreads into the compendium, if your spread didn't made it message me or any of the co-host in DM or PM. Second of all we have gotten an amazing banner from Albatr0ss in the start of the thread. Now then to move forward with this project the Co-Hosts and I came to the conclusion that we would like for people when it comes to be sharing spreads to add more into it than just a one liner, reason we brought this up cause we where willing to not add majority of the shared threads that we questioned what some of the evs did even if it's just a dump we would like a bit of elaboration towards them. However, we felt it would be unfair for the submitted posts to be rejected with these new changes, so for future posts we would want more emphasis into the posts and people can use this post as a reference into how a well written post can be done. Now we are not asking for a long post like this all the time as long as you describe in detail what the EV spreads do, but we would want more details towards them from here on out. Great job with the shared spreads thus far and we will be looking more into them from the post above and further in what we'll add next time, keep on sharing spreads and until next time.

Now for this post isn't just look like its a rant here are some other spreads:
WORK IN PROGRESS to a more offensively oriented bulky scizor spread.
Im sorry little one

:ss/scizor:
Scizor @ Metal Coat / Heavy-Duty Boots / Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 64 Atk / 172 SpD / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / U-turn
- Roost

This is a spread Finchinator made iirc and people keep asking what this all does when it comes to using my sample, but basically 172 Special Defense lets you switch into Modest Kyurem's Ice moves even if you get knocked in case you do run boots, and also take two Hurricanes from Pivot Torandus-T.

:ss/slowking-galar:
Slowking-Galar @ Assault Vest

EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 56 SpA / 24 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Future Sight
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam

Curriosity made this spread, so there's a lot of investment into Defense letting you avoid getting OHKO from defensive Landorus-T with no hazards up in the field, and with the Special Attack is enough investment to OHKO no Special Defense investment Landorus-T with Ice Beam. The remainder gets dumped into Special Defense, but this spread is really situational and would recommend this if you want to catch Landorus-T immediately or your Ground immunity doesn't like switching into Landorus-T that much.

Ok for the first part, I think I'm doing good with the few spreads that I posted when it comes to explanation, but for potential future ones I'll keep this in mind.
For the Scizor spread, yeah this looks solid I don't think I need to look for an alternative, although I want to give my own imput about it: I would run this more offensive spread with Metal Coat ONLY, to be a better check to Weavile since only with Metal Coat Scizor has that extra power to always OHKO Weavile with Bullet Punch from full. Also, as you said, Metal Coat gives it the ability to 2HKO Unaware Clef. If I were to run HDB, I would just use my bulkier Scizor spread (or another if someone's got a better one than mine).

Ok i have another spread

:ss/tapu-fini:
Tapu Fini @ Leftovers

Avoids 3HKO from Urshifu-R's Close Combat and thats about it, s/o to curiosity for helping with this spread

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 100+ Def Tapu Fini: 108-128 (31.3 - 37.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Edit:
:ss/heatran:
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 224 SpD / 28 Spe

Outpseeds Skarmory and guarantee's 2HKO on physdef cm clef

4 Atk Heatran Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 210-248 (53.2 - 62.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
I might be overlooking something here, but... why not just run Flash Cannon on Tran?

Katy

Banned deucer.
Fair point, wasn't looking at boosted calcs. Thank you!
To add onto that: Clefable nowadays is specially defensive because threats like Kyurem and Dragapult and to a lesser degree Hydreigon are very dangerous in this tier. Especially for the former two Clefable runs a specially defensive spread and after a Calm Mind Flash Cannon-Heatran has no chance to bypass Clefable at all. Therefore Heavy Slam is the superior option. :)

That was my initial thought as well, but I didn't say anything about it since the dex spread "just" lists 56spd+ on the utility set (most common one afaik), which still has a very high chance of being 2hkod by Flash Cannon. It's good to know that lately people invest more into SpD though, so thank you to you as well :D

This more Specially-oriented Corviknight spread is one I recently concocted (inspired by Baloor's reinvention of a Corviknight spread I made a little while ago) that is fairly good as an option for Buzzwole or Toxapex balances and Tapu Fini offenses.

Use this spread on teams that have options against Weavile and Urshifu, but need the added insurance against special wallbreakers that can't afford Slowking-Galar or standard Slowking. It alone is far less reliable against Urshifu and Weavile, especially given that it needs Leftovers to insure itself against many Special wallbreakers (as you can see from the calcs below), so having options to more readily cover those matchups saves Corviknight from overload in the long term against Special wallbreakers.

Special calcs

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 160 SpD Corviknight: 181-214 (45.2 - 53.5%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 160 SpD Corviknight: 188-222 (47 - 55.5%) -- 17.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 160 SpD Corviknight in Psychic Terrain: 151-178 (37.7 - 44.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 160 SpD Corviknight: 157-186 (39.2 - 46.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Physical calcs

+2 252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. 252 HP / 96+ Def Corviknight: 297-351 (74.2 - 87.7%) -- approx. 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock (this calc listing as 6.3% to OHKO after Stealth Rock is a bit facetious, it should be able to always live unless you're at some really unlikely decimal percentage, and given how much extra def you need to hit the next benchmark % it's generally not worth it)
252+ Atk Choice Band Weavile Knock Off over two turns (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 96+ Def Corviknight: 196-232 (82 - 97%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

___

Like last time, I'd also like to give another tip for interested spread designers. Not only should you shoot for the optimal nature, but you should also consider practicality. You can have a feasible goal with your spreads, but if it does not consider game-flow or does not have a deliberate design, then it is almost always a waste of investment and waters down the Pokemon's role in a vacuum. Also, be sure to consider if the spread is reliable in the first place: always ask yourself how your spreads apply to games and not only what it can do, but how it interacts with ally Pokemon!

136 Atk Corviknight Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Volcarona: 374-444 (100.2 - 119%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Corviknight in Psychic Terrain: 159-188 (39.7 - 47%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

+2 252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 252 HP / 76+ SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 338-402 (83.6 - 99.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

MELMETAL
:protective pads: :choice band: :sm/melmetal: :assault vest: :leftovers:

Melmetal is a big fella and has four interesting sets so I decided to find out good spreads for each: Choice Band, Protective Pads Thunder Wave, Assault Vest and ProTox Leftovers. This is going to be a long post so I'm putting each explanation in spoilers so that you can pick and choose the ones you are interested in.

:choice band:
Melmetal @ Choice Band
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 36 SpD / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Thunder Punch

Extremely straightforward
252+ Atk to hit as hard as possible
220 Spe to outsped 0 Spe Tyranitar and, most notably, 0 Spe Clefable
The remaining 36 EVs are dumped in SpD to slightly increase its special bulk
.

:protective pads:
Melmetal @ Protective Pads
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 140 SpD / 116 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Double Iron Bash
- Thunder Punch
- Superpower
- Thunder Wave

This is another simple one.
252+ Atk to hit as hard as possible
116 Spe outspeeds 0 Spe Hippowdon and other Pokémon EVed to outspeed it, namely the rare Rhyperior and, of course, the standard Pads Melmetal which commonly runs 112 Spe
The remaining 140 EVs are dumped in SpD to slightly increase its special bulk

Shoutout to Finchinator since I saw this set from him. He showcased it with a spread of 40 HP / 252+ Atk / 108 SpD / 112 Spe, but I have no idea what those 40 HP actually do.

:assault vest:
Melmetal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 104 HP / 132 Atk / 252 SpD / 20 Spe
Careful Nature

- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Rock Slide

Now it starts to be a little more complex. This is the most though-out and pinpointed set&spread of the four.
I wanted AV Melmetal to perform against top special attackers in the tier - other than its usual suspects Tapu Lele and Kyurem - and I looked no further than Volcarona and Heatran, two Pokémon that can usually incinerate Melmetal.
132 Atk ensures Rock Slide always OHKOs standard Bulkarona spread
252+ SpD maximizes special bulk and Assault Vest boost
20 Spe outspeeds 0 Spe Toxapex and stuff EVed to outspeed it, notably CM Reuniclus, CM Hat and other slow Melmetal.
The remaining 104 EVs are dumped into HP to improve overall bulk and allow interesting interactions with certain physical and special attacks

132 Atk Melmetal Rock Slide vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Volcarona: 376-444 (100.8 - 119%) -- guaranteed OHKO
16 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 104 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 162-192 (37 - 43.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Flamethrower vs. 104 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 288-338 (65.9 - 77.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Flamethrower vs. 104 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 156-184 (35.6 - 42.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Zeraora Close Combat vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Melmetal: 174-206 (39.8 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Heatran Magma Storm vs. 104 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 170-204 (38.9 - 46.6%) -- 23.4% chance to 2HKO after trapping damage

:leftovers:
Melmetal @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 84 HP / 128 Atk / 24 Def / 252 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Toxic
- Protect
- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake / High Horsepower

Ight I went a bit wild with this one, but the reasoning is that I wanted a bulkier spread for this specific Melmetal set. A simpler 252+ Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe spread is better if you want more immediate power. Anyway:
128+ Atk 2HKOs Abhi's 252 HP / 124 Def Toxapex from full HP (assuming no Black Sludge/item already Knocked Off). This is huge because it removes one of the main switchins for DIB+Toxic combination.
20 Spe outspeeds 0 Spe Toxapex and stuff EVed to outspeed it, notably CM Reuniclus, CM Hat and other slow Melmetal.
252 Special Defense to max out his special bulk.
The remaining 108 EVs are distributed between HP (84 to hit 432, a Leftovers number) and Def (24, they serve no pratical use but it looks fancier)

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 84 HP / 252 SpD Melmetal: 169-199 (39.1 - 46%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 84 HP / 24 Def Melmetal: 354-416 (81.9 - 96.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (very unlikely to happen but INSANE calc in my eyes)
252 Atk Zeraora Close Combat vs. 84 HP / 24 Def Melmetal: 170-202 (39.3 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 84 HP / 252 SpD Melmetal in Psychic Terrain: 147-174 (34 - 40.2%) -- 37.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 84 HP / 252 SpD Melmetal: 125-147 (28.9 - 34%) -- 99.1% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

128+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dragapult: 324-384 (102.2 - 121.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
128+ Atk Melmetal Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 124 Def Toxapex: 152-180 (50 - 59.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
128+ Atk Melmetal Earthquake vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 356-420 (104.3 - 123.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
128+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 294-348 (104.6 - 123.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

and it ain't over yet since I also have...
GASTRODON
:heavy-duty boots: :sm/gastrodon: :heavy-duty boots:
Basically for this guy I created a physically defensive spread and a specially defensive spread. Spdef handles fire types, grindy setup sweepers, pult to an extent and electrics. phys def softchecks ground types and handles zeraora a lot better.
Here's the sets
Gastrodon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpD / 24 Spe
Sassy Nature

- Scald
- Earthquake
- Clear Smog
- Recover

Ight so SpD Gastro is really good rn because it is completely immune from hazards thanks to Boots+Sticky Hold and can handle big guns like Volcarona and Heatran, while softchecking the dangerous Specs Dragapult and the main electrics, Zeraora and Tapu Koko. Clear Smog is mandatory to achieve control over Volcarona and other threats like CM Fini or Clef. It has an incredible niche in being able to absolutely ruin typical Volcarona teammates like Trick Tapu Fini or AV Magnezone, completely blanking the entire core unless Volcarona is running Giga Drain.
24- Spe outspeeds Toxapex and CM Reuni/Hat to hit them with Earthquake and check them with Clear Smog, respectively. This is very key for teams that struggle with these more obscure but potentially dangerous threat. This small investment doesn't change anything on the special side but provide ensurance with the bonus of hitting Toxapex in case you need it.
232 HP / 252+ SpD maximise special bulk with the remaining EVs.
Pretty simple honestly.

252 Atk Zeraora Close Combat vs. 232 HP / 0 Def Gastrodon: 162-191 (38.4 - 45.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 232 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 326-385 (77.4 - 91.4%) -- not a KO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 232 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 135-159 (32 - 37.7%) -- 92.7% chance to 3HKO (crit/drop does about 56.5 so it doesn't 2HKO if the first one or the second one is crit/drops)
252 SpA Tapu Koko Dazzling Gleam vs. 232 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 87-103 (20.6 - 24.4%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

252 Atk Zeraora Close Combat vs. 208 HP / 224+ Def Gastrodon: 112-132 (26.9 - 31.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Tapu Koko Dazzling Gleam vs. 208 HP / 56 SpD Gastrodon: 117-138 (28.1 - 33.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 208 HP / 224+ Def Gastrodon: 168-198 (40.4 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 208 HP / 224+ Def Gastrodon: 309-364 (74.4 - 87.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Garchomp Scale Shot (5 hits) vs. 208 HP / 224+ Def Gastrodon: 390-465 (93.9 - 112%) -- approx. 81.3% chance to OHKO

This is my work for today! I have fun doing these
See ya!
