Hatterene is an amazing support Pokemon in Ubers UU, providing very unique role compression that enables offense teams to perform at greater heights. Magic Bounce alone makes Hatterene an extremely good pick against more passive playstyles such as stall, being able to bounce back moves like entry hazards, Toxic, and Will-O-Wisp. Furthermore, Psychic Noise, which prevents the foe from healing, allows Hatterene to check Pokemon such as Giratina and Lugia. Alternative moves to Psychic Noise are Psyshock, which hits Blissey hard, and Stored Power, which turns Hatterene into a more offensive sweeper. These moves in combination with Magic Bounce allow Hatterene to be an extremely capable stallbreaker. Calm Mind and Draining Kiss keep Hatterene healthy, and Nuzzle can cripple physical attackers looking to switch in such as Zacian or Zamazenta-C. Mystical Fire allows Hatterene to hit any Steel-Type Pokemon who resist its STAB moves. Tera Steel solves Hatterene's pesky weaknesses to Poison and Steel while turning its Ghost weakness into a neutrality, allowing it to better check Galarian Slowking, Solgaleo, and Spectrier. Tera Water is also a good option, as Water is a generally more sound defensive typing in the tier, and it also allows Hatterene to better check Chi-Yu and Dialga. Hatterene notably completely walls Giratina, an oftentimes annoying wall for offensive teams. As a result, Hatterene very much enables Pokemon such as Sneasler and Palafin. Furthermore, Hatterene's ability to bounce back Stealth Rock enables some very powerful teammates such as Chi-Yu and Ogerpon-H. Some pesky matchups for Hatterene are Dialga and Magearna, as both are hazard setters with ways of dealing with it, using Heavy Slam and Volt Switch, respectively. As a result, Ground-types such as Landorus synergize very well with it.
