[SET COMMENTS]
With the combination of Substitute and Toxic, Manectric is a good lure for Ground-types like Rhydon and Piloswine, both of which safely switch into Choice item sets. While it faces competition with Will-O-Wisp Rotom, Manectric's higher Speed, Electric immunity, and Fire-type coverage allow it to stand out. Flamethrower targets Grass-types like Tangela, Exeggutor, and Lurantis, as well as Ground-types immune to Toxic such as Alolan Dugtrio and Galarian Stunfisk.

Balance and bulky teams enjoy Manectric revenge killing foes like Klinklang, Jynx, and Qwilfish without being Choice locked. To help it defensively, physically bulky Pokemon like Poliwrath, Tangela, and Miltank can better stomach hits from Ground-types like Rhydon and Piloswine, faster Pokemon like Alolan Dugtrio and Froslass, and Choice Scarf users like Sawk and Gourgeist-S. Slow VoltTurn pivots such as Clefairy, Uxie, and Articuno can help bring Manectric in safely; outside of predicted Electric-type attacks, Manectric cannot switch in safely due to its low bulk. Late-game sweepers such as Klinklang, Lunatone, and Silvally formes can capitalize on Manectric whittling down their checks and counters with Toxic, like Stunfisk, Silvally-Dark, and Rhydon, to help them break through.

Using Protect over Flamethrower or Thunderbolt lets Manectric more easily whittle down Ground-types and gain more Leftovers recovery; however, it is hard to fit over either attacking move. Manectric can run Heavy-Duty Boots over a Choice item, with Toxic over Switcheroo; however, Manectric's merely decent power it hard to justify.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types**: Ground-types like Stunfisk, Rhydon, and Piloswine are immune to Manectric's STAB moves and can OHKO it in return. However, Galarian Stunfisk has to watch out for Choice Specs-boosted Fire-type coverage, while the other Ground-types get crippled by Switcheroo or Toxic.

**Special Walls**: Special walls like Throh and Clefairy can sponge Manectric's hits and don't mind being hit with Toxic. Appletun, in particular, resists every move from Manectric and mitigates damage with Recover. However, they dislike Switcheroo and getting pivoted on with Volt Switch.

**Priority Moves**: Due to Manectric's low bulk, priority move users such as Thwackey, Kangaskhan, and Shiftry can easily remove it with minimal prior chip damage.

With the combination of Substitute and Toxic, Manectric functions as a good lure against Ground-types like Rhydon and Piloswine, both of them that would otherwise safely switch into Choiced sets. While it faces competition with Alolan Dugtrio, Manectric offers a better matchup against physical walls like Alolan Persian, Uxie, and Sableye. it doesn't really face competition from dugtrio as they are very different in what they invite in, dugtrio-a cripples physical walls like tangela and sableye, while manectric cripples ground-types like Stunfisk, Palossand, and Rhydon. A better comparison would be Will-O-Wisp Rotom. Flamethrower targets Grass-types like Tangela, Exeggutor, and Lurantis and Ground-types immune to Toxic such as Alolan Dugtrio and Galarian Stunfisk.

This set fits better on balanced and bulky builds in need of Speed control, speed control usually refers to tools in vgc like icy wind and tailwind :w allowing Manectric to revenge kill foes like Klinklang, Skuntank, and Choice Specs Poliwrath you surely can find something more viable than poliwrath, and Manectric needs signifcant chip to beat skuntank while still switching between moves. Physically bulky Pokemon like Poliwrath, Tangela, and Miltank can more easily stomach hits from Ground-types, faster Pokemon, and Choice Scarf users why do you keep mentioning poliwrath in every analysis ;w;, this mon is quite bad and will drop in the vr next update. Slow VoltTurn pivots such as Clefairy, Uxie, and Articuno can help bring Manectric in safely, as outside of predicted Electric-type attacks, Manectric cannot switch in safely due to its low bulk. Late-game sweepers such as Klinklang, Lunatone, and Silvally formes can capitalize on Manectric whittling down foes with Toxic, enabling them to take on checks or counters easier. give some examples

Using Protect over Flamethrower or Thunderbolt enables Manectric to more easily whittle down Ground-types and gain more Leftovers recovery; however, this makes its matchup against the aforementioned Grass-types much more difficult change this to reflect with the change in the beginning of the sentence. Manectric can run a Heavy-Duty Boots set with Toxic over Switcheroo; however, it lacks the power of Choice Specs and Speed of Choice Scarf, making it hard to justify.

***Ground-types***: Ground-types like Stunfisk, Rhydon, and Piloswine are immune to Manectric's STAB moves and can OHKO it in return. However, Galarian Stunfisk has to watch out for Choice Specs-boosted Fire-type coverage, while the other Ground-types dislike getting crippled by either Switcheroo or Toxic.

***Special Walls***: Special walls like Throh and Clefairy are able to sponge Manectric's hits. Appletun, in particular, resists every move from Manectric and mitigates damage with Recover. However, they dislike losing their items to Switcheroo or getting crippled by Toxic. throh and clefairy really don't care about toxic, however they care about getting volt switched on

***Priority Users***: Due to Manectric's low bulk, it gets easily removed by priority users such as Thwackey, Kangaskhan, and Shiftry with minimal prior chip damage.
