COMMON HOUSEHOLD ITEMS SCAVENGER HUNT
Challenge 1
​
For the first challenge, you will be collecting items on a list for us. Take a picture and send it in your tribe submission. We are not interested in printouts of things you found googling--only the real deal will get points. We will award partial credit for genuinely good attempts. For example, you will get 5 points for a letter of admission from Riverside Community College. We will grudgingly award a few points if you get any sort of communication from their office. Creativity and humor will be awarded at our discretion.

We have a total of 138 items. We will release items in waves. Wave 1, the hardest items, can be found below.

In an incredibly close battle, tribe Dumber edges out a victory over tribe Dumb by a margin of 2 points.

I'll post a few of the highlights in thread later for everyone to enjoy.

Tribe Dumb have until 7:30PM EST on Tuesday, Jul 7 to submit their first vote and 7:30AM EST on Wednesday Jul 8 to submit their second vote. The next challenge will go live at 730AM EST on Wed.

At Dumb's double elimination ROOSTER, Beans222 and M2H were voted out.

ajhockeystar has joined the game from the Edge of Extinction! He is the only two time winner in the 12+ Smogon Survivors that have been hosted. Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes which landed him on EOE. He will be joining the Dumb tribe.

Before your next tribe vs tribe challenge, we would like to give you a treat: This round, both tribes will be headed to ROOSTER and will vote someone out.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT
Challenge 2​

This challenge is for a HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL. This HII will be given publicly to the winner of the challenge from each tribe. The HII will be usable in future regular survivor-style voteouts, and the last time it is usable is Final 5.

These 12 items were found in stores near where Divya and I live in downtown Arlington, Virginia, USA. You are attempting to estimate the price of the items in the store in which we found them. These prices may be marked up or down from prices you find online or in other stores for the same item (though if it is the same item, then it's likely pretty close).

Once you have submitted your estimated prices for items 1-12, we will calculate for each item the percentage difference between the actual price and your estimate. The player from each tribe with the lowest sum of percentage differences will win the challenge. If you submit in a currency that is not USD, we will make the conversion for you using whatever exchange rate we find on google. Please remember to take cost of living into account. Any resource on the internet, as well talking to your tribemates, is fair game for this challenge.

The deadline for this challenge is in 24 hours at Thursday 730AM EST, at which time the winner will be announced and the HII will be publicly awarded. As no individual immunity is being awarded, this challenge will run concurrently with ROOSTER. The deadline to submit your vote for ROOSTER is in 36 hours, at Thursday 730PM EST.

If that person submits you as well at the end of the 24 hour period, then you will have paired up and will advance for sure into the next phase of the game. Pairs will be processed at deadline ONLY.

If you remain pairless at Friday 730 EST, then you will have 12 hours to submit one player in your confessional who you would like to pair up with. This phase will end at Saturday 730AM EST (or whenever we wake up). Pairs again will be processed at deadline ONLY.

If there remain pairless players on Saturday, then they have 12 hours to pair up publicly with another player in a public submissions channel. This time, requests will be processed instantly.

While it is our intent to eliminate only one player in this challenge, all unpaired players on Saturday 730PM EST will be eliminated from the game.

We would like you, within your pairs, to write the best screenplay adaptation based upon this facebook video. Divya will judge your screenplay on four categories (20 pts):
  • faithfulness to the original plot (4)​
  • strength of your prose (specifically, points will be awarded for conciseness) (4)​
  • creativity (10)​
  • summary (2)​

Your screenplay should be written in English, and contain elements such as action and dialogue. We would also like you to include a brief summary of the plot of the original video with your screenplay. You should feel free to take creative liberties, so long as the spirit of the original plot is preserved.

Please submit screenplays via DM to me directly, instead of in the server where Divya can see. Submissions will be edited to remove authors before judging live.

The pair with the best screenplay will gain immunity for the next ROOSTER, which will begin immediately after. In that ROOSTER, you will be casting a vote as a pair for another pair to be eliminated. The winner of Challenge 4 will be immune, and HIIs will not be able to be used.

Any pairs who do not agree on their vote will cast a self vote. If there is a tie in the vote and there are pairs that did not vote successfully, then there will be a revote where the only valid votes will be pairs that did not vote successfully. Otherwise, the ROOSTER will proceed as standard.

I really encourage everyone, specs players and passerbys alike, to at least skim all of them. There was a ton of work put in here and all of you are imaginative writers. This was really tough for Divya to judge...we were lucky that Texas and Joe's really stood out or else we would be here until tomorrow!

A Change of Pace​

Vooper and Rad volunteered for the next challenge. They drafted the playerlist. The two drafters swapped teams, and gained HOH power on their new tribe. That's right--welcome to Big Brother.

The two head of households have 24 hours to pick two nominees for eviction. Following that, there will be a Veto competition where the whole tribe gets to compete. The winner on each tribe is the Veto holder.

If the Veto holder doesn't exercise their power, then the tribe barring the eviction candidates and the HOH vote on which of the two eviction candidates get sent home.

If the Veto holder chooses to veto one of the eviction candidates, then the HOH replaces the candidate of the Veto holder's choice as an eviction candidate. The tribe barring the eviction candidates and the Veto holder then vote on which of the two new eviction candidates get sent home.

Rad and Vooper, as HOH, have until tomorrow at 730PM EST to hold the nomination ceremony in their tribal chats. The HOH must deliver their nomination speeches in the tribal chat by then, the format of which is below.


"This is the nomination ceremony. It is my responsibility as the Head of Household to nominate two people for eviction. In my nomination box are the keys of the houseguests I am nominating for eviction, I will turn two keys to lock in my nominations and their faces will appear on the memory wall. For example, I would have gotten a score of 2676 for this run.



We will give 24 hours for this challenge. Tomorrow at 730PM EST, we will reveal the winner of the veto power in your individual ROOSTERs. Voting will start after the Veto holder decides whether or not to use their power, which is preferably immediately.

RIDDLE ATTACK
Challenge 6
​
You are competing for tribal immunity. The losing tribe will go a standard Survivor-style ROOSTER.

This game will test your wits, teamwork, skillset, and perseverance. Over the next 24 hours, I have prepared 13 tasks for you. Some of these are riddles, which vary wildly in their subject matter. Others are challenges that you must complete before the other team.

The tribe to complete each task first will win a point for their team. The tasks will be released periodically over time. The first tribe to score 7 points wins immunity, while the losing tribe immediately enters tribal council.

Wrong answers for tasks will be ignored for the most part, but correct answers will be confirmed when the moderator is able to. Hints will be released publicly at host discretion for riddles that have gone unsolved for longer than 12 hours.

A special reminder that you may only communicate about Survivor to your tribemates and to the moderators. Outside help is not permitted. Google as you please, though.
