Gyarados @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Power Whip
- Dragon Dance

Gyarados is able to survive any hit from Chandelure and dragon dance in its face to sweep after eating an easy meal. While the common Gyarados set is adamant, jolly Gyara naturally outspeeds and is threatened even less by a choice scarf variant.

252 Atk Gyarados Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chandelure: 278-330 (106.5 - 126.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Chandelure Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados: 211-250 (63.7 - 75.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Chandelure Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados: 142-168 (42.9 - 50.7%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO

Even in the most dire circumstance with flash fire activated Gyarados has nothing to fear (except a crit)
252 SpA Choice Specs Flash Fire Chandelure Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados: 258-303 (77.9 - 91.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Lum berry is a common item on Gyarados so this set has no fear of a burn. If Chandelure is scarfed you won't outspeed after 1 ddance unless you choose jolly over adamant, so you'll need some caution before you decide to set up. In either case waterfall is always a safe choice.

Lycanroc-D is a check to Chandelure. It outspeeds and ohko’s with crunch and stone edge and with accelerock after a little chip also ohko’s and can revenge kill scarf as well.
252 Atk Life Orb Lycanroc-Dusk Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chandelure: 432-510 (165.5 - 195.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Substitute

Keldeo is a pretty solid offensive check to Chandelure. Both Choice Specs and Calm Mind are effective against Chandelure. Choice Specs sets put a ton of pressure on things that try and take the hit for Chandelure, and if it doesn't switch out, Keldeo easily OHKOs it with Scald. Calm Mind sets can potentially do even better. If it comes in against a -2 Overheated Chandelure, it has completely free setup to wreck havoc. In an emergency, Keldeo can take any single hit, even with Stealth Rock up. It also doesn't care about Trick at all, since it doesn't completely kill the Calm Mind set.

252 SpA Choice Specs Chandelure Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Keldeo: 231-273 (71.5 - 84.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Chandelure: 422-500 (161.6 - 191.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Incineroar takes every hit that chandelure gives it with as it resists shadow ball and overheat relatively well. It also doesn't mind getting tricked with overheat in its arsenal. It can also still be a good pivot in general tricked or not. As choice specs overheat is unfortunately still a 3HKO, I am going to put Incineroar as a check that could also bring a nice quality of life to your team.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream, this week's victim is Vanilluxe! Ranked not too long ago on the VR, vanilluxe is a powerful breaker that uses its insanely spammable blizzards to break through UU's lack of ice resists. Vanilluxe only needs it and freeze dry to hit the entire metagame at least neutrally. How will you melt this cone? Submissions are due February 22 at 11:59 PM GMT-8.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Toxic
- Substitute
- King's Shield

Specially defensive Aegislash is a shaky counter to Vanilluxe, provided it doesn't freeze, but that kinda screws up every 'mon, haha. Blizzard is only a 50%-ish chance to 4HKO, and Aegislash sits there and spams King's Shield and Toxic to quickly wear it down. Both Ice Beam and Freeze Dry do pitiful damage anyways, so it has to be using Blizzard to even stand a chance. Blizzard sometimes doesn't even break a Substitute too. If that happens, gg. You 2HKO in return with Shadow Ball after Stealth Rock or two rounds of Toxic damage. The only reason it's not a hard counter is because it's technically possible to wear it down over time since it doesn't really have reliable recovery with Hail neutralizing Leftovers healing, and on top of that, hard-swapping into Blizzard can be quite scary, but it tanks everything else very easily.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 76-90 (23.4 - 27.7%) -- 86.1% chance to 4HKO after hail damage and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 63-75 (19.4 - 23.1%) -- possible 5HKO after hail damage and Leftovers recovery

You set up amnesia and become unbreakable whlie vaniluxe has to switch out every time or it has to fear an ohko from body press and with stealth rocks cutting into vanilluxe every time it is very hard for it to make progress what so ever especially since vanilluxe gives registeel free setup turns whenever it comes in. It also only has 8 PP on its blizzards which registeel can easily pp stall

252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Registeel: 90-107 (24.7 - 29.3%) -- 0% chance to 3HKO after hail damage

The speed evs are to outspend modest 252 evs vanilluxe.
It avoids 3HKO from blizzard and Iron head is stab and 2HKOs vanilluxe.
Wish+Protect is recovery.
U-Turn is for momentum and Rocks are for chipping vanilluxe and it’s teammates.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 168+ SpD Jirachi: 102-120 (25.2 - 29.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after hail damage and Leftovers recovery

Gigalith @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Toxic / Protect
- Stealth Rock

Gigalith is a counter. It can switch in, change the Weather to sand and tank even Blizzard comfortably without the risk of a 2HKO.
It threatens to OHKO Vanilluxe with Rock Blast, forcing a switch enabling Gigalith to set up Rocks, further hurting Vanilluxe.
Sand also ensures Vanilluxe is getting damaged along the way no matter what, chipping it down to be revenge killed later, should something go wrong, like a freeze.

4 Atk Gigalith Rock Blast (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Vanilluxe: 252-294 (89 - 103.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after 2 turns of sand

252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gigalith in Sand: 145-172 (38.7 - 45.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Rotom-Heat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Toxic/Thunder Wave
- Pain Split

Rotom-Heat is a good check to vanilluxe as it outspeeds, doesn't get 2HKO, and can OHKO vanilluxe in return. Along with pain split which gives rotom-heat more survivability, it also gives you a chance to infect the opposing team with toxic or paralysis. You can also volt switch to keep momentum since vanillux is forced to switch without threatening to lose its own life. Due to the versatility of rotom, this check is one of the best in the game to vanillux

Volcanion is a good check to Vanilluxe due to its outspeeding and OHKOing with Flamethrower. Despite it taking quite a bit from Freeze-Dry, it still resists Blizzard and Freeze-Dry 4x.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Blizzard vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcanion: 71-84 (23.5 - 27.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after hail damage

Reuniclus AV is a forgotten king but at the same time one of the best check to specs vanilluxe. While it has 43% chances to get 2hko by Blizzard with stealth Rock up, it can easily absorb and see on which move did vanilluxe locked himself. This make reuniclus a very good check has it can easily fit with a steel and a water type which will handle with ease vanilluxe. If needed, it can always threaten it back with a knock off which will make vanilluxe enable to break through Reuniclus.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Vanilluxe Blizzard vs. 248 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Reuniclus: 157-186 (37.1 - 43.9%) -- 43.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and hail damage
