#10 Leviathans

To Finch’s credit he pulled a good record in WCoP and went 6-3 last Snake. However, picking him before mcmeghan and ciele is obviously questionable. Finch has made one or two top 16s in individual tours, the other first round picks have multiple top 4s or trophies... Ciele has 3 individuals oml. Team tournaments are top down, you get carried by your best player. Additionally, I don’t think Finch has the experience to build and support for 3 other SM players.

robjr, obviously solid, but does his world cup run where I don’t think he played every week warrant a secound round pick. I just think this is another stretch pick. I’m pretty sure robjr played a world cup match where his opponent was trying to kill recover mega zam with earth power from tran.

hiye, one of the best players on this team. hiye has an all time highest win percentage in smogon tour at like >75% its wild.

majorbowman, i believe doubles is the tier where every player is pretty much on equal playing field. bowman has proven hes just a notch ahead, i expect a 6-3/7-2 performance here.

garay oak, iirc garay is young and i was impressed by his kyurem-b game in wcop. he had a tremendous mu but he played solid and won. with that said, i’m pretty sure he plays ubers. i played garay last year in ubers open and felt he had room to grow. time to see where he is now.

OP, from what I remember hes middle of the pack for LC. Good to add another TD tho

Lopunny Kicks, another young god. Overall, I’ve been impressed by him and his world cup game where he used mawile (vs googly iirc) was just annihilation. with that said, i think he got beat pretty bad the next round. I see him finishing maybe 5-4.

Eternally, absolute steal. He can play.

King Wynaut, sorry don’t know you. I’m guessing you’re playing RU?

King Kdot, Kdot is a good builder and he plays some other lower tiers. He is also a great guy to have around in a team channel.

Jirachee, experienced vet and good guy jirachee, but I don’t think he has touched SM.

Mysterious M, a versatile player in that hes willing to try different playstyles. Ultimately, he had some nerves in world cup which cost him 2 games. I think he has a lot of potential as he continues to play in tours.

Robert alfons, pretty sure you play NU? The teams second rob is a relative old timer. Always seemed like a nice guy

Cynde, name sounds familiar but unsure of who you are.

Ultimately, I put this team last because I think they had opportunities in the draft where they missed on certain players. This team definitely has some good players, but I find the other lind ups better. Finch has a heavy load to carry here, if hes up to the challenge anything is possible, but I think its an upward climb.

#9 Mambas

McMeghan is an obvious GOAT, and will still go at least 6-3 even playing UU.

FV, I have had the opportunity to get to know him well the past few months and hes really great. Problem is his activity has been down. I expect him to put WCoP behind him and do well this tour if he wants too.

Charmflash, obviously your OST run was impressive, but I think there are players just as good as you who were picked much lower (KoD, Hayburner, JYT). I’m looking forward to seeing how you perform in a team tour with some added pressure.

Bro Kappa, great player and one of the best guys I know, don’t get banned.. please.

Mop, obviously mop is the man but Rey could have got him much later in the draft. One thing people don’t know is how much Mop expects of himself. He is going to put everything into this tour, but I think his lack of experience in the tier will hurt.

dcae, didn’t know you were still around. I remember you struggling one SPL though, maybe 5? lets see how times have changed.

Exiline, another person I love. Exiline is a very capable player if he can put his nerves behind him.

Miltankmilk, i think miltank is pretty decent for getting him here in the draft.

Hootie, seems really friendly, obviously struggled in SPL. Just needs to play with more confidence.

Santu, I know your name, but i dont really know you.

Littlebigplanet, I’ve not seen your name before. So can’t say much.

Alpha Rabbit, same as above.

Analytic, really good player and great guy for last round pick.

Ultimately I put this team at #9 because I think there are a lot of people who need to prove themselves, specifically in this tournament. Ultimately, most everyone in this tour is capable, its about rising up to the occasion.

FLCL, amazing player, shouldn’t have any problems doing well in NU.

Eo, another great player, Eo is just generally consistent and methodical.

Aim, over the past few years Aim has had highs and lows in team tours. The fact he showed up and won in WCoP finals was impressive, but he has a lot to prove he is up to his old form. I think Joe’s main problem is instead of focusing on one tier, he is a jack of all trades. I think this becomes a disadvantage for him when you’re playing multiple people with more tier experience. I think for Joe to be most successful, he needs to commit to playing one tier all season. If he is playing with equal knowledge to his opponents, with his level of skill he is going to have the edge.

Nat, after a terrible performance last snake, Nat bounced back to go 5-0 in SPL. Nat was also very close to being 3-2 but won some battles because of perfect end game sequencing. The thing is that Cryos had nothing to play for down the stretch. I think Nat is on the upper half of RU, but needs to perform at that SPL level with pressure .. and also hope nobody brings tyrantrum/goliosopod checks.

Ultraballz, good player and pretty solid builder.

Zesty43, I know theres a lot of hype around you so I assume you’re a good player, but theres a lot of nerves with official team tours so lets see what happens.

Ayevon, another member of team midwest, seems like a good player.

Sken, I remember your playoff game vs Heysup left some to be desired, though I think you beat him earlier in the season. I’d probably group you in the middle for the LC players.

Lunar, a vet, I didn’t know you still played. Lunar is capable of doing well depending on how much time he puts in. I’m not sure if Lunar is competing in worlds for VGC, but that ending pretty soon should benefit him and the other VGC dubs guys.

Shiba, I know you’re pretty good for a late pick, but it seems the UU pool is fairly strong this year.

Yjh, ladder hero who obviously did well in WCoP. Not sure what happened at the end of the season, but I remember not being happy with the tiebreak series.

KoD, draft steal. Start this man.

Tko, lc support I think.

Stan Stoojung, I think you play NU? I’ve seen your name a lot. Good that FLCL has help because I’m sure he’ll participate a lot with OU as well.

Overall, I have this team at #8 because I think outside of Eo and FLCL, that most people on this team will be middle of the pack for their tiers. Nobody else really stood out to me like “wow they’re going to kill it” One thing that I like about this team is that it looks like everyone has a role, I think they could’ve done with 1 less OU player for help in ubers/doubles instead though.
