Hi everyone! This is something I've been wanting to post for a while but never found the time :/ After my first participation on a smogon official team tour last snake, I had the opportunity to play in SPL with the cryonicles and this is a compilation of all the teams I played in this tour. Before showing the teams, I'd like to give a huge shoutout to august and teal6 for giving me the chance to play my first spl, to Nido-Rus for joining the team even though you knew you would be busy and always helping me with preps and giving me your always valuable opinion on my teams, and to ABR , obii and Leru for either caring a lot about the stuff I was going to play or suggesting ideas for teams every week :psyglad:

I haven't written a big description of the teams, just a brief explanation and why i run some sets or why i decided to use that kind of team, but if anyone has any question about them feel free to pm either here or on discord and I will give you a longer explanation.

I didn't know what to expect from human because he had never played dou before so I just decided to use a solid team. I'm a big fan of zard y zygarde teams and this was a core I already built with on snake but this time I wanted to make them work on a tr team. Opted for diancie and p2 as my tr setters because diancie synergizes offensively so well with fire types and drought could help it to resist hits of annoying mons for tr like volcanion and p2 is just probably the most reliable tr setter. Scrafty is a must because I needed fake out and intimidate, taunt is mainly for amoonguss which makes you think twice about setting tr or not. I really like how I realized stuff like bulky psychic and normal types would start rising in usage and fit toxic on random mons on my teams like I did with band zygarde on this one.

Nido and I were really busy on this week so we didn't have a lot of time to prep or test. We had a brainstorm really early on the week and we realized how intimidate triggers adrenaline orb even when mist is active so I built a team with this idea in mind. DD zygarde is a set i don't really like but seemed ok on this team because of mist preventing intimidate drops, I ended up using a steelium set because i was kinda worried about the bulu matchup once I lost mence. Adrenaline orb actually worked on the game but I lost a 9X % roll on bowman's bulky koko and couldn't do much after that, anyways I think I misplayed a lot on this game trying to scout for z nature power koko but the bulky set he played caught me off guard.
Btw I've never clicked mist when playing this team so probably heal pulse is better lol

Relaxed Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SpA / 6 Spe
- Fake Out
- Trick Room
- Transform
- Ice Beam

Ok so this is probably my favourite team I used on spl just because of how crazy it is, I wanted to play venusaur because some of the teams emforbes was playing were weak to it and sun semiroom looked really cool ngl. I wrote a long description for this team when I submitted it on the teambuilding competition so i'll just copy that hehe :eyes:
My main idea for this team was making venusaur work both in and outside of tr so I started this team with the core of venu, torkoal, diancie; torkoal sets sun and has a good offensive synergy with diancie since it can hit most steel types that are troublesome for diancie, I also opted for bulldoze as my ground type move on torkoal instead of earth power to trigger its weakness policy if i had the chance. Growth mega venu is a cool tech as well (s/o to Human for this idea) since this makes it so much threatening if you can get a free turn to set up. Tapu fini is my main switch in to volcanion, nature's madness to wear down stuff quickly, and heal pulse to keep venu, diancie or mew healthy if needed. Next mon I added was scarf mixed lando; it gives intimidate and a ground resist to the team and can work outside of tr and check zard. Finally, mew is perfect for the last slot; fake out and a second trick room setter are great for this team and if you get the chance to use z transform your opponent will most likely have to deal with a full health bulkier boosted mega venu or diancie.
Mew ivs are in this way to have hidden power fire in case you transform into venu and outspeed 0 speed evs bulu outside of tr, same for fini.

Week 4 vs Biosci (3-1)

Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp

Ludicolo @ Assault Vest
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fake Out
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball

So for this week I noticed biosci hadn't use any water type yet and on some of his teams he only run 1 rain check so I decided to go with this :I
This is a team I built for invitationals with some minor changes like icium kyub to improve the matchup vs chansey and latias. Shadow tag is just so good on rain to help trap water resists or zard y and kill them with koko or kyub and then proceed to win with ludicolo or swampert. Definitely my favourite rain team I've built in sm.

Week 5 vs Croven (3-2)

Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 96 HP / 52 Atk / 184 SpA / 176 Spe

Scrafty @ Figy Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Def / 176 SpD / 24 Spe
Careful Nature
- Super Fang
- Knock Off
- Fake Out
- Taunt

Croven was spamming double intimidate on almost every team but i didn't want to play a semiroom build because i thought he would prep for that since it was my favourite playstyle back then. Tornadus sand didn't look too bad because I noticed he also was using bulky normal and psychic types a lot so I built a team with this. Fling king's rock tornadus was something i like to help excadrill or ttar to set up, although i ended up changing ttar set.
Even if I lost, this was probably my favourite game on spl just because of how close it was and all the mind games it had.

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Dazzling Gleam
- Thunderbolt
- Protect

I knew EmbCPT likes to play passive stuff, even though I think he was trying to change his playstyle during spl to more offensive teams, there was a set i came up with that i wanted to use vs him. Yeah, scarf goth. It was a bit risky tho because it was going to be deadweight if he played offense or ho but if he played bulky stuff i knew i could manage to play in a 2v1 situation most of the times. I just needed a team where i could fit this set and i remembered nido built a team with the same 6 mons like almost 2 years ago and bowman used something similar vs embcpt last spl so i just did the same and adapt it to the current meta. I'm really glad of how this game turned out and the prep we did this week because it was exactly how we expected it to be.

I wanted to play cm fini this week because miltankmilk and tree had been playing some teams weak to it (not all of them, just like 2 or 3). After trying to build teams with cm stored power latias, cm fini and simple beam genesect I gave up and asked stax for this team he had been playing on ssnl lol. I think I could improve it changing some sets tho so I used hammer arm gross, protect lando and hp ice naga.

- Nature's Madness
- Protect

So my team was already out and i decided to play fun stuff if I had the time to build. Stored power mega latias was something I almost used last week so I gave it another try. This time with dugtrio. Dugtrio is a great partner for this latias set since it traps and kills the 2 most popular dark types; incineroar and tyranitar. Sub is really nice to prolong trap turns just like it was with mega gengar. I don't remember what I had on the virizion slot but the team ended up being kind of weak to fini so I used virizion and beat up dugtrio to have another win condition vs slower teams.

Week 9 vs Ezrael (6-3)

- Electroweb

I wanted to keep playing fun stuff and the previous week to this game I built a mega sceptile discharge team on duu so I tried to make it work in dou as well. When I had to pick a grass type move for mega sceptile I realized grass pledge was almost as powerful as energy ball (i thought it was like 60 bp or so :I ) so I used fire pledge incineroar as well. For some reasons I don't remember (probably to prevent kartana from setting tw) I had to run hp fire sceptile which made the pledge idea kinda bad but I kept it anyways because maybe I could get some surprise kos on stuff like metagross or av gene. Not much more to say about this team :I
