I recently set a team up for 1 vs 1 and decided to go for an endure Skuntank with Aftermath and Rocky Helmet, as well as sucker punch. The idea is that you deal damage to the enemy (Sludge bomb, Flamethrower), and when it takes you out, it kills them first, as the description of the attack clearly states and was proven on many occasions in game. The problem is, Skuntank faints first on Showdown, meaning you lose the game in 1 vs 1, wich is not what is supposed to happen. Can anyone explain to me why that is?

The mechanics you're referring to changed when Gen 7 came. Now the Pokemon taking Rocky Helmet / Recoil / Aftermath damage faints last. You're not supposed to make new threads for questions such as this however. Please read the forum rules, and post questions such as this in the SQSA thread in future.

Quick question, I’ve had my submission for ages now, but I’ve already bumped it once, can I bump again? Been like 2 months to 1 1/2.

This is totally not a way to remind submissions team about it without bumping.

I'm not a submissions mod but having gone through a similar experience with the process the general answer I got was "bump it". They encourage bumping, so yeah if it's been a month I would definitely bump.

I'm new to the smogon forums, so apologies if I'm posting this incorrectly or in the wrong thread, but here goes.
I know the GitHub has the code for currently supported OMs when they are live, but does said code get archived, or stored anywhere else? Also, should I be asking this here or in the Showdown Development section?
Apologies for the inconvenience.

The code does get archived.
You can find the code for most of the OMs in the General Thread for OM Code mostly in the Dragon Heaven server repository linked there. ROM has a lot of OMs too but I dont have the link for their repository now (Would add it in here if it's there and allowed).
You can also go in the main server repository config/formats.js and mod files history too look for the codes of past OMotMs and LCotMs.

Two Questions:

Is one allowed to revive an old metagame from previous gen, ie: Pacifistmons, by submitting it in the OM Submissions thread? Also, I have had an OM Idea, Ubers UU, which I heard from someone that it would not be plausible because of it breaking some smogon policy rule. Is this the case?

Thank you for Reading and have a nice day.

Yes, it is allowed. You can ask the original leader of the Other Metagame, Arhops, for permission for doing it and then submit it in OM Submissions.

For Ubers UU, I don't know about the rule so I can't say anything on that.

I have something to ask, if I have a pokemon with Sturdy/Focus Sash and the move Explosion/Self-Destruct, will it survive? Asking so I can make a team with a song theme. (Also, could I get in trouble for having a pokemon called "Middle Finger"? It's a really good song....)

it won’t survive, sturdy and focus sash only protect you from opponents attacks. also that nickname would be fine, people often use nicknames far more uncouth than that

Where can I make a team for Custom Game?
In the regular teambuilder.
You can select any Pokemon and give any move/ability/EVs. Click on Import/Export at the top and you can also set the levels of the Pokemon to 9999 and give the Pokemon 24 moves by posting the Showdown importable format for upto 24 Pokemon.

Note that you can have different Pokemon

It can only be played through challenging so you'll need someone to battle you and you can also ask for a battle in the Other Metas room.

What are the two most complex team one can make while making one team win 100% of the time? Of course, one can make level 1 6 unowns vs 1 level 100 arceus with espeed, but could one make two teams with both being level 100 with full legitimate movesets and the least type advantages, etc and make a guarenteed win? There's no "General battling" section so sorry for the odd place

With the premise of something along the lines of Suicide Cup where one of the players will try its hardest to lose, I'm afraid it's quite hard to make it happen only using viable sets.

But assuming both players want to win but still hold a large skill discrepancy, you can build two teams where one has a guaranteed win over the other if you base them on a couple simple premises.

The winning team should:
- Not have any status moves. This removes any room for error. If everything below is also true, you won't need any status moves anyway to win the game.
- Always have at least one set that is completely immune to at least one on the losing team. Aside from type immunities, you should also exploit all ability-based immunities such as Soundproof, Bulletproof, Levitate, Flash Fire...

The losing team should:
- Not have hazards. This guarantees the winning team can always switch into the full counter without being punished for it.

I think following these simple rules you can build a couple complex teams that have a "perfect" matchup.

Not sure this is the right place to ask...

Assuming Gen VIII does not have the removed stuff in its data, thus forcing it all to be removed from the meta, would it be possible to have a version of BH that still includes all the removed stuff as a challenge meta, part of the rotational ladder, leader's choice, or what-have-you? As kind of exciting as the prospect of BH going back to the wild west when a lot of staples get removed, it'd still be interesting to see how all the Gen VIII stuff would play out when layered upon what we have now.

I know, I'm greedy and want to see both results. But, assuming the worst comes to pass, it'd be neat to be able to see what could have been in at least a non-ladder format without having to fiddle with custom games.

And before anyone asks, no, I don't know what is and isn't being removed. But let's be honest, legendaries and their signature moves are probably the most likely to be cut and BH is like... 90% legendaries and 50% signature moves, so a cut content VIII BH is likely going to be a veeeery different experience.

I do have some ideas on that but it’s too early to say anything on the matter. Rest assured, if our worst fears are true and Pokémon are actually deleted then there will likely be metagames where you can use them all.
