Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

...And then there's this match.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-474258130
This is so incompetent. Someone take this one.
(L) Gliscor, Crawdaunt, and Cacturne with no items.
(R) Braixen.
(R) Gardevoir uses Psychic on Cacturne. To be fair, Cacturne is a rather obscure mon, and right forgot that it was Dark.
(L) Cacturne responds to that by using Solar Beam.
(R) Gardevoir finally wises up, Mega Evolves (with Gardevoirite), and uses... Moonblast. It later revealed Dazzling Gleam.
(L) Blizzard Swampertite Swampert with no rain in sight.
(L) Swampert staying in after Gardevoir reveals Magical Leaf. You can probably guess how that turned out.
(L) Sceptile uses Acrobatics, and then proceeds to Mega Evolve (with Sceptilite) the next turn.
(L) Garchompite Garchomp, which isn't even that great in standards, uses Dragon Claw on Gardevoir. It then somehow survives the Moonblast and finishes off the now 2% Gardevoir with Brick Break.
(R) Sylveon finishes off Garchomp, and the battle, with Fairy Wind.

Found this while stalking the meta, PLEASE HELP, I am deceased

Somebody do it, I'm new to life.

>Final Gambit Shedninja thoooo
Where to begin...

[L, Team Preview] 5, count 'em, 5 Standard Megas. Do these people not look up the metas before playing them?.... Actually, I can answer that, THEY DON'T
[L, Team Preview] Also Miltank.
[R].... Red Orb Shedinja when Regular Shedinja is much better. If you're going to give it a Mega Stone, give it a Pinsirite so it can switch in on Spikes or something.
[R] The 1 HP Red Orb Shedinja proceeds to FINAL GAMBIT after Mega Char-X misses a Fire Blast.
[R] The Latiasite Pidgeot is Physical. This wouldn't be a problem... if it wasn't for the fact that Pidgeot with the stone has equal Attacking stats and better as a Special Attacker so it's not outclassed.
[L] Rollout Miltank. You are NOT Whitney
[R] BLUE ORB VICTINI COMES IN AGAINST SLOWBRO
[L] Switches out Slowbro in that situation
[L] Just so happens to have a MMX with AQUA TAIL that decimates the Victini and makes [L] look kinda smart.
[L] Also, Psychic on MMX. 1. Psystrike exists. 2. You have access to both physical Psychic moves and 194 Attack.
[L] Gardevoir doesn't Mega
[R] Scizorite Wobuffet. Why
[R] Spams Destiny Bond. Why
[L] Doesn't read the text on screen and lets the Wobu KO CharX. WHY
[Showdown] Mega Evolving a Female Hippowdon gives it the Male sprite. I, for one, like the dark color of Female Hippowdon, so I'm sad now.
[R] Charizardite X Hippo when Garchompite gives you a boost from your sand
[L] Makes a bad play by Ice Beaming instead of Scalding, but it works since Hippo turned into a Ground/Dragon-type.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-474258130
This is so incompetent. Someone take this one.
[R] Braixen, Audino, and Meloetta under any circumstance.
[L] Garchomp, Swampert, and Sceptile. I already have the feeling of Guess that Mega already.
[L+R] Neither mega. Good grief.
[R] Psychic on a Dark type.
[L] Solarbeam.
[R] Mega evolves on the second turn.
[L] Swampert-Mega.
[R] Magical Leaf.
[L] Blizzard.
[R] Proceeds to sweep most of the team because none of L's pokemon mega-evolve.
[L] Acrobatics Sceptile-Mega. Sure using that 110 base Attack. Where is your STAB? (does that count as 110 base power? knock off doesn't knock it off)
[R] Dazzling Gleam when it already has Moonblast.
[L] Uses Dragon Claw on a Fairy type.
[R] Brick Break. It KO's it, though.
[L] Doesn't evolve, and then uses FAIRY WIND, winning the battle.

A tip: if the trainer's name contains numbers at the end, it's probably going to be silly.

MAKE IT STOP. (someone take these)
(L) Glaceon. Interesting choice. I wonder what Mega Stone it-
Glaceon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
(R) Palkia uses Thunderbolt on Glaceon, then Avalanche. The Eeveelution has ONE resistance, yet you still somehow manage to hit it NVE.
(R) After losing their Palkia to three Blizzards, R sends out their Earthquake Giratina-O to finish the Glaceon.
(L) Responds with a Pachirisu. Mega Stones continue to be absent. It uses Light Screen. Reflect's coming next, right?
(R) The Giratina, which has shown to have Earthquake, goes for Shadow Force against the squirrel. True, it has more power, but... why do you have Earthquake in the first place, then?
(L) REFLECT IS NOT COMING NEXT. Pachirisu Thunderbolts the air and gets OHKO'd by Shadow Force. This is not VGC 2014, nor are you Se Jun Park.
(L) Sends out their (presumably scarfed) Togekiss, which uses Trick...on a Giratina-O...four times in a row...
(R) Giratina reveals Iron Head. Really?
(L) Mega Lucario uses Swords Dance on the Shadow Force... then proceeds to Iron Tail the vanished Ghost-type instead of Swords Dancing again.
(R) LIMBER DITTO, Arceus without Extreme Speed, and the rest of this sad gang are swept by Mega Lucario. RIP in pasta.
(Showdown) "Westerlund1001 ha ganado 2 PokeDolares." Huh?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-474349442
So short, but so... mystifying. The person who takes this gets a cookie.
(Both) Pretty much everything, but especially...
(R) Sealeo.
(L) Air Balloon Meganium. With Magical Leaf.
(R) Arceus-Ice, with arguably the worst defensive typing in the game, uses dual screens.
(L) Meganium also has Solar Beam with no Power Herb or sun in sight.
(R) Cloyster takes the opportunity to set up on Meganium there. And the only reason it succeeds in that is because of a Focus Sash.
(R) Cloyster has Icicle Spear, but not Skill Link.
(R) Sealeo has Hail and Blizzard. Not the worst combination ever, but it's Sealeo.
(Both) A very strange sequence to end the battle:
Turn 16
(L) left.
The opposing Sealeo used Blizzard!
It's super effective! Meganium lost 61.8% of its health!
Meganium used Solar Beam!
It's super effective! The opposing Sealeo lost 42.3% of its health!
The hail is crashing down.
Meganium is buffeted by the hail!
Turn 17
(R) forfeited.
(L) won the battle!
(R) left.

So I was bored playing PS. Very bored. So bored, in fact, that I decided to make the dumbest, most luck-based team possible in BH. After a few modifications to make it viable, such as adding an answer to Sturdinja, I came across one of those perfect opponents (good sportsmanship, complimenting your team, etc), and the battle was just...insane.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-474440648
(If you don't want to watch the whole thing, you don't have to. Teams are shared at Turn 115, and the replay crashes right after the climax at Turn 229, although I recommend watching from Turn 200 for context.)

Oh god, somebody take this piece of gold right here. Best I've seen in a long time.
[L] One single, lonely Charizard-Mega-X.
[R] All of these pokemon in any circumstance, except maybe Crobat.
[R] Tyranitar sets up a Sand Stream only to be switched into with Shedinja. Shedinja then dies.
[R] Aggronite Beedrill. With stats of 65/120/90/45/100/95, even vanilla Beedrill-Mega is better.
[R] Air Balloon Amoonguss. Seriously, it takes normal damage from Ground type anyway.
[R] Latiasite Crobat. This guy's really afriad of EQ's. Anyway, he comes in and immediately uses Defog, I guess trying to get rid of the weather. It doesn't work.
[L] Thunder Punch.
[R] Uses Defog again in a vain attempt to... I don't know, save the opponent?
[R] RED ORB DITTO.
[L] Of course, he uses Flare Blitz at 6%, killing both.

Sometimes I don't even know how people would ever think these sets up.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-474815368
Aerial Ace Charizard-Mega-X, Hyper Beam Rayquaza, and strange nicknames.

(...Did you just call Tyranitar unviable? That's a pretty big mistake.)

...Okay, I'll take this one.

[R] Abomasite Greninja. At least it has Blizzard...
[L]...Which misses, thanks to Rayquaza, who utterly fails to take advantage of this.
[L] Uses EQ against this Greninja when Dragon Claw is stronger.
[R] Red Orb Charizard... using Fly. Yep. It, predictably, gets destroyed.
[R] Pretty competent Giratina play there, especially in comparison to what happened previously.
[L] Of course, Mega Garchomp uses Earthquake on this Giratina-Origin, with predictable results.
[L] Salamancite Greninja. At least use Pinsirite, for crying out loud.
[R] ....The Deoxys-Speed is ALSO Salamancite, of which the Pinsirite set is actually pretty good. It uses Low Sweep.
[Both] Neither of them have Return/Frustration to take advantage of their stones.

...And this one's even worse. Someone take this one.
[R] All standard Megas.
[L] Bisharp stays in and Sucker Punches Swampert for about a fourth of its health, only to be KO'd by Brick Break for its troubles.
[R] Speaking of which, what use does Brick Break serve on Swampert when it hits most Steels just as hard or harder with Earthquake or Waterfall? Must just really hate screens or something...
[L] Is Energy Ball Mega Mewtwo X a thing? Not that it was a bad move to use in this case, but it doesn't seem like it'd play to its strengths particularly well.
[R] Mega Mawile without Intimidate in its base form might be legit in 1v1 or something to protect from opposing Intimidates, but not here. Especially when you're using it as a switch-in to Mewtwo X (thankfully it was only hit by Energy Ball)
[L] EARTHQUAKE CHANSEY. Why does anyone even think it's a good idea to run physical moves that aren't Seismic Toss on Chansey? One of the great mysteries of life I suppose. (Also, switching Chansey into Mawile is a pretty dubious play when Chansey isn't exactly known for being a physical tank, not to mention using Chansey at all when Sablenite Blissey totally outclasses it.)
[L] Chansey then follows up with Metronome. It gets Blast Burn, which deals... more than I was expecting to Sableye, still not much though. (Its second, and last, Metronome use lands Magic Room, which is a move I'd forgotten existed until now, and will probably forget again very soon)
[R] Brick Break Sableye. This is sort of generic silliness so it doesn't deserve that much detail imo
[L] Earthquake/Ancient Power/Earth Power Blastoisinite Regirock that doesn't Mega Evolve first-turn when using Earthquake even though Blastoisinite does increase the user's Attack stat.
[L] Regirock then proceeds to attempt to paralyze Swampert with Body Slam (it doesn't, for the record) and dies to Earthquake (see, there it is). It outspeeds Swampert for some reason, too; I guess Swampert just wasn't running very much speed?
[R] Switching base form Sharpedo, with the defenses of wet paper, into a Mega Mewtwo X. Said Sharpedo also has Rough Skin (you know, even though basically the only reason Mega Sharpedo is good in the first place is because of Speed Boost pre-Mega Evo, and that's not even getting into how silly using it in Mix and Mega is)
[R] Sharpedo stays in on the Mega Mewtwo X that's already been proven to have Energy Ball, which proceeds to kill it. This mostly serves to reinforce the point about the Sharpedo not having Speed Boost, because if it did it would have been at least able to get a hit off beforehand.
[L] Mewtwo uses Blizzard. Miss. Predictable.

probably stuff I missed

You forgot L mega evolving their charizard so it could get hit super effectively by the outraging mega sceptile, and L presumably forgetting which mega zard they had, given that it used air slash.

*can't

[L] "Blakkdeth"
[R] Charizard X and Y. I'm being nitpicky here, but still.
[R] Sharpedo-Mega.
[L] Ursaring and Bronzor in any circumstance.
[L] Houndoom and Aggron-Mega aren't very viable.
[L] NON-STURDY SHEDINJA. Oh, dear.
[R] Special Sharpedo-Mega. With Hydro Miss, Blizzard, and Hyper Beam. That can't handle a Cosmic Power Bronzor.
[R] What looks like vanilla Rayquaza-Mega.
[L] Counter in any circumstance.
[R] What is with Blizzard? Why do people use it anymore?
[R] Doesn't use Fire Blast in the first place.
[L] Speed Boost Ursaring... with Extreme Speed.
[R] Overheat without Contrary. And keeps using it... on a Dragon type. That just used Geomancy.
[L] Uses Geomancy twice.
[R] Outrage.
[R] Explosion Metagross-Mega. On a pokemon with 4%.
[L] Night Daze. Does good damage, though.
[R] Thunder Punch.

Right then leaves out of shame.

The Spanish chat alone is bad enough, but...
(B) No Megas. In Mix and Mega. Left later reveals Mega Charizard X, but still.
(R) Pikachu. With Iron Tail. Seeing its pitiful damage output, no Light Ball either.
(R) Hone Claws Hawlucha (what is Swords Dance?), with Power Herb + Sky Attack.
(L) Is Fake Out Weavile a thing? I guess it is with Glalite or something, but vanilla Weavile?
(L) Sends Tyranitar into a Hawlucha that has revealed Drain Punch, with predictable results.
(L) ...and next is Bisharp (so far, left has send its 3 Pokémon with a x4 weakness to Fighting into Hawlucha before even sending either Metagross or even Charizard). Bisharp Sucker Punches and dies, and Drain Punch recovery offsets the Sucker Punch damage, making Bisharp nothing more than a useless sack.
(L) Rocky Helmet Metagross also does a very poor job at handling Hawlucha.
(B) And then turn 10 happens. Charizard does Mega, and Hawlucha decides to set up on the beast. Guess what happens.
(R) CUT GRENINJA FTW
(R) Ice Beam Goodra. Where are your STAB moves to kill Zard X?
(R) Finally Draco Meteor Noivern ends this shitshow.

A battle featuring such gems as Worry Seed / Grass Whistle / Headbutt Shaymin and a Ho-oh with an Assault Vest and only status moves... I should note that those were on my team btw. [L] Calm Mind + Close Combat Lucario. And it stays in on a Quagsire.
[L] Screech/Sandstorm/Dragon Breath/Crunch Flygon. I was going to compliment usage of Screech, but she had to ruin it with the other moves...
[R] The Quagsire has Rain Dance in response to the Sandstorm.
[R] Having an Umbreon be paralyzed isn't actually a big deal in most cases...
[L] Hyper Beam Metagross, and it's sent in on an Umbreon.
[L]...Who thankfully realizes her mistake, and sends it back for something far more suitable.
[L]...An Ice Beam/Bubblebeam Octillery.
[L] Metal Claw Sneasel.
[R] Flame Wheel Typholsion.
[Both]...Which it uses to sweep through the rest of the team, including Fly Tropius (which actually has a justification with Harvest... but that doesn't mean it's good...)

Why do people try to use stuff like Special Spinda and Wobbuffet here?

Sadly a bit short, but we do see some quality Mewtwo play, and Mega Swampert and Tyranitar sets, which don't disappoint.

Special Blaziken, Physical Raikou, and a Sturdinja that does not know how to recycle won't save you from anything.

These are some incredibly baffling plays, especially at the end.

Coil Gengar, Mirror Shot Jirachi, and no doubt other bad gimmicks line Left's team.

And this is what might be the dumbest Latias set I've seen, among many, many other silly parts. Someone take this one.

You can tell a silly Legendary user from a mile away, And then it becomes even easier to tell that they'll lose.

Yes, I just did many different metas in one post. Bite me.
