Sexy Ferret BP (Proof of Concept)

What is up guys --Steven here-- and I'm going to be bringing you a Furret RMT today (I had to do it). :]

Introduction

Ok, before I dive into the sets of the individual Pokemon, I want to say that this team is clearly not a "serious" team, but I have been able to beat several reputable players with this team, as well as having success on the ladder.

This team does an excellent job of showing what the most broken aspect of Baton Pass is..
Stored Power.

The main thing that makes Baton Pass broken (in the eyes of some, including myself) is the ability to spam a move that has an incredible base power with-out having to set up on your own.

Let's get on to the team~

The Supporters

Corsola
Ability: Hustle
- Amnesia
- Barrier
- Confuse Ray
- Recover

Dodrio
Ability: Run Away
- Acupressure
- Agility
- Roost

Vivillon
Ability: Shield Dust
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Powder
- Quiver Dance

Butterfree
Ability: Compound Eyes
- Iron Defense
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder

The Ferret

Furret @ Leftovers/Bright Powder
Ability: Run Away
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Assist
- Baton Pass
- Mud-Slap
- Substitute

Furret is the heart and soul of the team.

This is the list of Pokemon in NU and PU that get both Assist and Baton Pass http://puu.sh/fEhFx.png

The reason Furret was chosen is because it has a better combination of bulk and speed compared to the others on the list.

Basically the point of the set is to accumulate as many boosts as possible with Assist.
Assist chooses a move randomly from all the moves your teammates know, and uses it for itself.

This means that on any given turn, Furret has a chance to

(1) Boost with
Calm Mind (x2), Quiver Dance (x2), Amnesia, Barrier, Acupressure, Agility, Iron Defense

(2) Status them with
Sleep Powder (x2), Confuse Ray

(3) Heal with
Roost (x2), Recover

(4) Attack with
Stored Power, Dazzling Gleam

This ratio of boosting moves, to status moves, to healing moves is amazing and generally allows Furret plenty of turns to set up. Accumulating boosts is way too easy. If there is something that threatens you, Mud Slap it and Substitute until you get a free sub, then keep setting up.

The goal is clear, boost as much as you can. As fast as you can. Hax them if you need to. Keep clicking Assist until you're about to die. Click Baton Pass.

The Stored Power Abuser

Xatu @ Leftovers/Colbur Berry
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind
- Roost
- Dazzling Gleam

Is there a dark type on the other side of the field?
Yes --> Click Dazzling Gleam
No --> Click Stored Power

Xatu was chosen to be the recipient of Baton Pass for obvious reasons.
(1) Magic Bounce
(2) STAB Stored Power
(3) Can contribute to Assist boosts/recovery

But in all seriousness, just click Stored Power and win.

Conclusion:

This team was created by a compilation of people including
Can-Eh-Dian Kiyo CanadianWifier Montsegur
and a lot of boredom.

As I said in the introduction, this is not meant to be a highly competitive team, but it does work disgustingly well for how bad it looks on paper. This team pretty much proves that the breaking point of Baton Pass is Stored Power. Accumulate boosts in any way you can (Assist tho), and sweep with one of the most broken moves in the game.

Thank you all so much for reading, and have fun playing with your Ferret!

you should of made on of the poll options "yes, now get out of my swim practice"

Whitest Mexican Alive
Spinda @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Assist
- Baton Pass
- Sucker Punch
- Substitute
But that doesn't allow you reliable ways to gain defense boosts, which is the main way to actually continue to accumulate boosts.
The few moves that actually do drop your defenses are either:
(A) Not in NU (see V-Create)
(B) Too slow (see Superpower)
(C) Don't hit every type (Superpower)

I'd just like to point out you should use frisk over run away on the almighty ferret lord.

That is all.
pretty sure frisk isn't compatible with mud-slap

Just a couple quick ideas since this team is literally useless once Furret or Xatu dies

Chatot @ Leftovers
Ability: Tangled Feet
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: null Atk
- Chatter
- Agility
- Nasty Plot
- Roost

Aurorus @ Choice Scarf/Choice Specs
Ability: Refrigerate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature/Modest Nature
IVs: null Atk
- Barrier
- Calm Mind
- Nature Power
- Rock Polish

Chatter and Nature Power both aren't callable by assist so..
(Also Chatot for even more hax <3)
