Roaring Moon @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 36 HP / 220 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Breaking Swipe
- Throat Chop
- Acrobatics
- Tailwind

It's lights out for Doubles OU with Roaring Moon! A good movepool and high Attack make Roaring Moon a premier choice for an offensive support Pokemon, serving both as a Tailwind user and a check to Psychic Surge teams. 220 Attack EVs ensure Protosynthesis boosts Speed, making Roaring Moon the fastest Tailwind user in the tier, short of Murkrow. Breaking Swipe deals fair damage and helps keep physical attackers like Iron Hands, Palafin, and Dragonite in check. Throat Chop provides more immediate damage and shuts off sound-based moves like Sylveon's Hyper Voice and Chi-Yu and Arcanine's Snarl. Acrobatics deals good damage and becomes Roaring Moon's strongest attack with Tera Flying, OHKOing Amoonguss after slight chip damage. Roaring Moon's biggest weakness is that it stacks Fairy- and Fighting-type weaknesses with teammates it wants to support, like Great Tusk, Chien-Pao, and Chi-Yu. As such, Glimmora and Gholdengo are good teammates, as they can deal with the aforementioned types and benefit from Tailwind. Roaring Moon's damage output isn't great without Terastallizing, especially against Intimidate users like Arcanine that force it to either keep the Attack drop or lose Protosynthesis by switching.

It's lights out for Doubles OU with Roaring Moon! A good movepool and high Attack make Roaring Moon a premier choice for an offensive support Pokemon, serving both as a Tailwind user that Murkrow can't Taunt Murkrow has really fallen off and doesn't even carry Taunt 100% of the time and as a check to Psychic Surge teams. 220 Atk ensures Protosynthesis boosts Speed, giving it the fastest Tailwind in the tier short of Murkrow. Breaking Swipe deals fair damage and helps keep physical attackers like Iron Hands, Palafin, and Dragonite in check. Throat Chop provides more immediate damage and can limit sound-based threats like Sylveon and Volcarona Volcarona isn't particularly relevant and usually runs Giga Drain over Bug Buzz without having to Terastallize and prevents opposing Arcanine and Chi-Yu from using Snarl on its teammate (this addition can be dropped if you need it for the character limit). Acrobatics deals high damage after Booster Energy has been used, and can be further bolstered by Tera Flying, granting it a strong attack against Fairy-types Scream Tail, Sylveon and Hatterene are some of the most common Fairies and are all dealt with by Throat Chop in some way, just say it is Moon's strongest neutral attack and allowing it to OHKO Amoonguss after slight chip. Roaring Moon's biggest weakness is its risky matchup into common attackers like Iron Bundle and Chien-Pao if Protosynthesis isn't active, so pairing it with pivot support from the likes of Iron Hands is appreciated. Roaring Moon can also struggle to damage Kingambit and Garganacl, making Great Tusk and the aforementioned Iron Hands useful teammates.

I felt the weaknesses part could be reworked so I wrote my own version below. Hands is the best and most common pokemon in the format and doesn't even necessarily care that much about Roaring Moon's support, so I think mentioning other allies is better. If the character limit is a problem the last clause of the last sentence can be dropped.

Roaring Moon stacks Fighting and Fairy weaknesses with common offensive pokemon that it wants to support, such as Chi-Yu, Chien-Pao and Great Tusk. Gholdengo and Glimmora are good allies that both appreciate Roaring Moon's Tailwind and help deal with the aforementioned Fighting and Fairy attacks respectively. Additionally Roaring Moon's damage output can be underwhelming if it doesn't Terastalize, especially considering it must forfeit its Protosynthesis Speed boost in order to reset an Intimidate attack drop.

implemented, ty! reworded the sentences to keep the world limit down but still got the content in (stopping snarl, stacking weaknesses with things it wants to support, low damage without tera, issues with intim)
