i dont do us eng so centre it is

Hello, this is the subforum that deals with the Registration Centre and whatnot. There are a few simple rules you should follow so make sure not to break them or else feel the wrath of the mods... :(

Anyhow.

On Posting Threads
The only new threads that should ever be posted here are users signing up or returning to ASB to post a new ASB profile. You will also notice that threads are sorted alphabetically. If you need help with signing up and whatnot, then these five helpfully great resources will help you out.

In your profile thread, there are no restrictions on how many posts you make (You can double/triple/whatever post you want, no one cares) but the only requirements is that your Pokémon data should not be in the OP and you should have 6 to 15 Pokémon per post. "Gym Teams" are generally the exception to the limit.

The only people that should post in other player's profile threads are those approving profiles. Even then they will delete their posts a few days later after approval. Most of the time. And yes, you must have had your profile approved before you can play ASB.

If you want to start over again, you can. But please get Mod Approval before doing so. You also need to be approved again if you do this.

You are also expected to keep track off Prize Claims in the OP of your profile. This may come in useful in case something dodgy happens.

On Prize Claims
All claims must be done in the current incarnation of the Prize Claiming Thread. The Prize Claiming Thread is for general prize claims which involve the claiming of counters, new items, new Pokémon, and new Evolutions and whatever else I forgot. If you are claiming Raid-specific gear like Glyphs or Artefacts, please use this thread instead (counters earned from raids are still claimed in the Prize Claiming Thread).

For posting in the Prize Claim Thread. The claiming of new counters or something gained "for free" (generally through TLR) must be accompanied with a link to said thread. You can only have one post for claims not yet approved at a time. If you have a new thing to claim from and your older claims have not been checked over by an approver yet, edit your old post. If it has been approved, make a new post. You may not edit new claims into a post whose claims have already been approved.

If an approver posts approving as a placeholder, then you should not edit your post of unapproved claims without the approval of the approver approving unless you really want to annoy the approver in question. Trust me you do not want to do that. You should wait around until the approver is done approving which will generally either be edited in and announced on #capasb or the placeholder deleted and a new post made. An approver may also just post full approvals without a placeholder.
  • If your post is approved, you are free to edit the claim into your profile.
  • If your claim has errors noted following a "Fix and Approved", fix the claim based on what the approver tells you then edit your profile.
  • If your claim has errors noted following a "Not Approved", this means your claim has not been approved. You should fix the claim based on what the approver tells you with regards to what is wrong, and then re-post the claim saying those errors were fixed. Alternatively bug the approver after editing.
    • Of course if you were not approved and you feel like you were wrongly done so for some reason like the approver makes an error, take it up with them in hope it gets overturned.
Speaking of, you should not edit your prize claims into the profile until someone has approved your claim. Approvals are basically quality control. If you do this and there were errors in your claim, let us just say that you will probably land in hot water. Possibly a Forum Specific Rule warning. Accompanied by an unnerving PM with automated text followed by snarky comments about you defying this rule.

Also note that approvers have the right to veto claims (with the approval of a Head Approver) if a claiming referee does a very terrible/lazy job at refereeing a match, or a claiming battler either makes excessively suicidal orders (e.g. Using Explosion at full health) in an effort to get a match done quickly, or deliberately using a LC Pokémon against a competent FE Pokémon to die quickly. Repeat offenders will risk incurring infractions.

Finally there are self-approvals, but only Active Approvers can do this and they must approve every claim above them before they can self-approve their claim.

Oh finally, do not ask to become an approver. You will probably be shot down and will probably never become one in the future if you do this. Read the OP of the current incarnation of the Prize Claiming Thread for more details with regards to approvers.

Basically the approval hierarchy is like this:
  • Head Approver: Can approve claims, get pay for claims, approve their own claims, and control all approval policy.
  • Active Approver: Can approve claims, get pay for claims, and approve their own claims.
  • Inactive Approver: Can approve claims other than themselves, get pay for claims.
  • Everyone Else: Cannot approve any claims.

On Trades
Basically read this thread. Note that the equal value rule is subjective and yeah.

On That Old Registration Tower Thread
Oh. This thread? That was for Gen V Profiles. Why is it unlocked? So old timers who come back can retrieve their profiles if they want. You should not post in this thread however. At all. Never.

On Postcount
Postcount is disabled in this forum and all other ASB forums so pc++ is non-existent. Do not worry about inflated postcounts.

Otherwise that is pretty much it. Just follow the rules and yeah. Enjoy your experience in ASB.

Update: The approver's right to veto claims has been reinstated, but said approver must get approval from a Head Approver to do so. This is in response to the growing number of lazy flashes and deliberate suicide orders in flashes, which are the antithesis of ASB. Repeat offenders of these veto-able claims will risk infractions.

Update: I added what the Approver Hierarchy looks like and what each hierarchy can do. Also I am trialling an amendment to the rules that makes it so anyone that isn't an approver can approve claims, but they cannot get paid for it. Think of it as the voluntary approval system I was hinting to earlier. If you make a sloppy job of the approving however, I will call you out and possibly revoke your right to approve. This is open to change however.
