RegenVest Mega Steelix is a reliable soft-check to the vast majority of the tier thanks to its massive mixed bulk and great typing. It's also slower than almost everything, making it a valuable slow pivot. Gigaton Hammer deals surprising damage, scaring out dangerous foes like Mega Diancie and entry hazard removers like Arceus-Fairy. Knock Off dissuades Imposter users from switching in and removing Covert Cloak and Heavy-Duty Boots helps it rack up passive damage. Stone Axe helps support offensive allies by setting Stealth Rock and also chunking Ho-Oh for major damage, while Mortal Spin allows Mega Steelix to remove hazards in a pinch and offers similar chip damage potential. While Mega Steelix's mixed bulk is good, it relies heavily on Assault Vest to check things and is often unable to wall anything long-term; as such, teammates like defensive Arceus formes are recommended to help check foes like Mega Diancie and Palkia-O. A major issue with Mega Steelix is Imposter, as its move selection is very annoying to Imposter-proof, and in slower games where Eviolite is less necessary, Imposter users can use it as a relatively safe source of Regenerator recovery. Fur Coat Arceus-Poison is the most effective all-around Imposter-proof, but Jungle Healing users and Steel-types like Celesteela can also work.

U-turn synergizes well with Mega Steelix's very low Speed to safely pivot in offensive teammates, even against opposing slow pivots. While Mega Steelix's mixed bulk is good, it often can't outright wall most offensive threats, especially if its Assault Vest is removed This should be emphasized more, Steelix checks nothing without AV; as such, teammates like defensive Arceus formes are recommended to help check foes like Mega Diancie and Primal Kyogre Kyogre is not an offensive threat, I think you can also specify spd teammates because Steelix doesn't beat like any relevant physical breaker, so you are looking to use it to midground mixed and scout specs. A major issue with Mega Steelix is Imposter, as its move selection is very annoying to Imposter-proof, and in slower games where Eviolite is less necessary, Imposter users can use it as a relatively safe source of Regenerator recovery. Fur Coat Arceus-Poison is the most effective all-around Imposter-proof, but Steel-types like Celesteela can also work. Can consider mentioning offensive improofers like MMX (though band sor does like 70 LMAO) and Palk-O (actually great improof too if its not Mortal).
