Redirected to google :(

Hai der :) whenever i try to go to http://www.shoddybattle.com/ i get redirected to google o.o i need to go there because i need to redownload the client... does anybody know how to fix this?

I'm having the same problem. Are you using Firefox? I think that might be my problem.

That's the problem, I can't get to the download page. Anything that uses http://www.shoddybattle.com redirects me to google.

Yeah same thing for me. I'm using a Mac OSX, at one point it said that shoddybattle blocked my domain and ever since it will re-direct me to google whenever I try to access the shoddybattle web page. I'm really not sure what do to. =/

Okay. After some work with SoT, we discovered that the behaviour of shoddybattle.com redirecting to google.com is caused by a trojan. This trojan is apparently distributed primarily on porn sites by masquerarding as a video codec, but other attack vectors are possible. This trojan has no connection to the Shoddy Battle software. This trojan replaces your router's DNS server by its own rogue DNS server, as you can see in this screenshot from SoT. It then prevents you from changing it back via a cron job.

If you are experiencing this problem, you should install Anti-Virus software immediately. This problem has nothing to do with shoddybattle.com or the Shoddy Battle software.

A similar trojan affects both Windows and Mac OS X users. For a general description of the trojan, geared toward OS X users, read this.

If neither of these help remove the trojan, run your favourite anti-virus software and hope that it removes it.
