RBY OU Summer Seasonal #5

Rules and Tournament Format

General Tournament Rules
  • This is a standard RBY OU tournament​
  • This tournament will be Double Elimination​
  • Rounds will be Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.​
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!. If you can't agree on which server to play on, the Smogtours server is the default option. Smogtours will be mandatory starting in Top 16.​
  • Replays are required for all matches.​
  • Activity calls will be made by me, potentially with neutral assistance from a RBY Moderator or Tournament Director. Coin flips will be done publicly on PS!​
  • In the event that something is added to or removed from the RBY OU metagame in the middle of a round, that change will be in effect starting the next round.​
  • Do not cheat. Cheating will result in a disqualification. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary. Cheating includes, but is not limited to:
    • Signing up with more than one account​
    • Ghosting or being ghosted by another player (e.g. while playing a set, asking for advice about what plays to make)​
    • Manipulating match outcomes (e.g. throwing a match in exchange for Smogon likes)​
  • Do not harass or insult your opponents. I reserve the right to disqualify anyone breaking this rule. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary.​
Standard Rules and Clauses
  • Standard Clauses / Mods
    • Desync Clause Mod: Desyncs changed to move failure.
    • Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
    • Freeze Clause Mod: Limit one foe frozen
    • Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
    • OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
    • Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
    • Endless Battle Clause: Forcing endless battles is banned
    • HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages
  • Banned Moves
    • Dig, Double Team, Fissure, Fly, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Minimize
  • Banned Pokemon
    • Mew, Mewtwo
Prize
This tournament will award points towards the 2023 RBY OU Circuit, which awards a ribbon to the winner of the entire circuit. If you win the seasonal itself, you also get a spot in the RBY Hall of Fame!

Also, a note for Ctown6 and Ortheore - I didn’t get an exact time schedule for when you planned on getting your match done, but I’d recommend playing today or Tuesday. If the match isn’t played out by midweek I may be forced to make some sort of act call or coinflip it in order to keep us all on schedule. If there are any concerns, just lmk, but I’ll try to be as lenient on the schedule as I can so long as it doesn’t begin delaying the tour

Hmm Ctown was thinking Wednesday. I think that's their time though, which is Thu my time. That wasn't actually confirmed I don't think. Anyway, I'm ready to play whenever (perks of being unemployed lol) I think it's just finding a time for them

My apologies, entirely meant to request an extension but have been super busy. Orth was nice enough to agree for a Wednesday time, which would be the best day for me, I hate leaving scheduling open ended but I just need to iron out a few things, if we can’t get a time Wednesday orth can have the win but we’ll make it happen

Find a time that works for both of you and see if you can get the match played with enough time for the loser to schedule with Green on fire. All I can or ever will ask of either of you is to try your best; schedule the match and (for the loser of the set) make sure to reach out to Green on fire asap afterwards to respect their time. I'll try to work with you from there as best I can. Feel free to play the match on Wednesday if needed, just make sure to schedule immediately thereafter so you can work out a time that's not restrictive on your schedules.

Ctown6 I appreciate your sportsmanship in the instance it can't be worked out. Thanks for making it easier where ya can.

Calling Act again Toxin Boost, they havent challenged me at all and have been offline on showdown for the past 20 mins
