Welcome to Week f-IV-e of Random Battles Team Tour VI, where specifically 8 and only 8 teams will compete for the title of RBTT Champion as well as a custom avatar another prize TBD, because RBTT VI is now officially the largest tournament to ever take place on the Pokémon Showdown! subforum, and every team was granted avatars!

Tournament Rules
  • The tournament will consist of 8 teams battling it out in a round-robin format over 7 weeks; after that, the 4 best teams overall will move onto playoffs.
  • Each series will be played as best-of-3.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown. Please do not play on smogtours.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts. After good-faith efforts to contact your opponent, report missed times & scheduling issues only.
  • Replays of the matches must be posted to verify a win; if replays are not posted, the match doesn't count.
General Tournament Rules
  • Scheduling: Players should contact their opponents on their Smogon profiles as soon as possible. It is strongly advised to schedule publicly, on Smogon, so hosts can review in the case of possible activity calls. If a player cannot reach their opponent, they should inform their managers quickly, so necessary substitutions can be made. If players have not made visible contact, managers and hosts may make substitutions.
  • Timer Clause and Disconnections: The timer is not required to be on during games; however, if the timer is on and a player runs out of time, their opponent wins the game via timeout. If a player disconnects and thus times out, this also counts as a loss for the player who disconnected.
  • Do not ghost. As of recent tournaments-forum rules, this also includes calcing for teammates that are playing, so please do not delegate doing calcs to your teammates when you play.
    What constitutes ghosting in a Random Battles game can be a particularly fine line. Before speaking in chat, always ask yourself: “Would my comment reveal information that hasn’t already been explicitly revealed in this battle?” Examples of ghosting include suggesting that an unexpectedly fast Pokemon must be holding a Choice Scarf, that a disguised Zoroark’s level proves it’s a Zoroark, etc.

Gen 8 Random Battle: R1C3M4N vs Sylveon used calm mind - Sylv is a noob but fortunately not all noobs play as good as them
Gen 7 Random Battle: London13 vs Betathunder - Betathunder is very successful this season, London is not; in the stories, that's the moment where the table turns

Gen 4 Random Battle: Celever vs SMB - "pretty equal match up, could go both ways" but this time it's two great players with a rather unfortunate season, both probably looking forward to put an end to their struggles
Gen 3 Random Battle: velvet vs freezai - switching velvet and Clem to have a more balanced line up is probably the move for the Korai - let's hope velvet will make wonders in gen3 like they did in rbtt 4

Gen 9 Hackmons Cup: Altthiel vs MultiAmmiratore - Altthiel is getting comfier and comfier in HC, or so it seems, but Chiori is a tough nuts to crack
Gen 8 Battle Factory: Clementine vs Wigglytuff - I think the orange sphere is more fit than the pink sphere
Gen 8 BSS Factory: Potatochan vs Mishimono - Potatochan replacing the now gone zioziotrip and has a lot to do in order to compensate the hole made by this ban
Gen 8 Random Doubles Battle: queso vs teresbahji - "pretty equal match up, could go both ways" except one is a skymin
Gen 7 BSS Factory: Casual dot exe vs LoSconosciuto - two great players, but playing in a forgotten tier, should be fun to watch; also LoSconosciuto is one of the three undefeated players in this tour, fascinating isn't it??

Gen 8 Random Battle: Tuthur vs peap - Tuthur successfully slayed his countryman w1 but hasn't really shown much more gen8 dominance since then, while peap is still showing great game play when not misclicking against Boris

Gen 6 Random Battle: Lady Writer vs Elgino - I'm so sorry Elgino, LW is just hard to bold against these days

Gen 3 Random Battle: Ereshkigal vs HeadsILoseTailsYouWin - Eresh is another of the undefeated player this season. Anna may have been finding a way to stop their curse by switching avatar, but Eresh seems to be blessed in this RBTT6
Gen 1 Random Battle: Leru vs Rage - Leru is always delivering
Gen 9 Hackmons Cup: sunsets vs Petros - Petros switching to hc while Frags goes to BSSF explains Elgino in gen6; this seems convoluted given Elgino is also a competent hc player, but maybe Petros is willing to embrace hc jankeness again like last year. Anyway, "pretty equal match up, could go both ways"; and at the same time, still no gen8 sunsets..
Gen 8 Battle Factory: DOOR MONEY vs Regnite - the third undefeated player. I'm rooting for the 10-0, here as well, despite how unrealistical it may be that all the three undefeated players get to 10-0
Gen 8 BSS Factory: MichaelderBeste2 vs Fogbound Lake - Michael moving once again, like an addicted to new experience gambler; but at the same time, being able to play every format means you can field wherever fits best for your team, and Michael, as far as I know, is competent in gen8 BSSF as well
Gen 8 Random Doubles Battle: Eeveon7 vs snorlax142857 - eeveon struggling a bit in this season, while snorlax is a seasoned player
Gen 7 BSS Factory: Dragonillis vs Fragments - Frags lets his hc seat to someone else, which always surprise me, but at the same time Frags is way more polyvalent than it seems. Maybe the 1v1 experience will be handy in such a format
