Pinsirite Offensive Spinner (Great Tusk) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Protosynthesis
EVs: 176 HP / 132 Atk / 200 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Body Slam
- Rapid Spin
- Bulk Up / Ice Spinner

[SET COMMENTS]
Pinsirite Great Tusk serves as a fantastic bulky attacker, cleaner, and entry hazard remover thanks to its phenomenal movepool, strong Ground-type and Aerilate boosted Flying-type STAB moves, and ability to switch into a multitude of threats like Dragonite, Gouging Fire, Altarianite Regieleki, and Iron Boulder. Body Slam is notably difficult to switch into due to its paralysis chance and spammable nature. Rapid Spin removes entry hazards and turns Great Tusk into a major threat by letting it outspeed nearly the entire metagame, only losing to Chien-Pao and the various Mega Stone Deoxys-S sets. Bulk Up turns it into a fearsome setup sweeper that can even beat non-setup Corviknight, while Ice Spinner hits opposing Greak Tusk and common Pinsirite users like Garganacl and Iron Boulder. The given EV spread allows Great Tusk to outspeed an equally boosted Aerilate Dragonite, survive Adamant Aerodactylite Gouging Fire's +1 Flare Blitz, and OHKO Tough Claws variants of Gouging Fire with Headlong Rush. Great Tusk's incredible offensive and defensive utility means it often warrants itself on a variety of offense and faster balance teams, and so allows it to have a wide range of suitable partners. Pokemon that appreciate its ability to keep hazards off the field while being offensive menaces like Urshifu-R, Red Orb Raging Bolt, and Hisuian Arcanine warrant themselves as strong partners. Allies that resist Water- and Ice-type moves like Arceus-Water, Alomomola, and the aforementioned Red Orb Raging Bolt are also good teammates, being able to switch into or force out threats like Urshifu-R and Chien-Pao while having their own utility in the form of pivoting, hazards, status, setup, and Wish passing. Electric-types like Sandy Shocks and Raikou that can punish Flying-types like Corviknight and Pinsirite Garganacl that attempt to take advantage of Great Tusk's inability to dent them are also notable. Likewise, non-grounded, Flying-resistant Pokemon like Latiasite Magearna and Solgaleo that would otherwise wall Great Tusk can be accounted for with partners like Lunala, Scizorite Weavile, Flare Blitz Gouging Fire, and Red Orb Raikou.

Pinsirite Great Tusk serves as a fantastic bulky attacker, cleaner, and hazard remover thanks to its phenomenal movepool, strong Ground- and -ate boosted Flying-type STABs, and ability to consistently switch into a multitude of threats like Dragonite, Gouging Fire, Altarianite Regieleki, and Iron Boulder (its more of an emergency check than consistent switch-in cuz it gets chipped fast & u often wanna save it to spinner. could be worth mentioning that). Headlong Rush gives Great Tusk an incredibly strong nuke attack that can OHKO even Tough Claws Gouging Fire, while Body Slam is equally potent thanks to its surprisingly high base power and consistent ability to spread Paralysis for both itself and its teammates (what does it hit? u could say its nice to paralyse waterceus corv etc. same for hrush) (could leave eq as a 1 line mention till we discuss slashing in cord). Rapid Spin, while removing hazards, also turns it into a major threat as it can then outspeed nearly the entire metagame, only losing to Aerodactylite and Lucarionite Chien-Pao and the various Mega Deoxys-S sets. Bulk Up exemplifies this further, allowing it to not only outspeed most Pokemon but completely take over the entire game thanks to this if given the chance (any notable 2hkos or ohkos at +1? and/or like if it survives something at +1 def). Ice Spinner, on the other hand, allows Great Tusk to punish other Great Tusk trying to use it as a chance to clear hazards in the form of a 2HKO (also nice v pinsnite, which u mention next line). The given EV spread allows Great Tusk to outspeed an equally boosted Aerilate Dragonite, survive Adamant Aerodactylite Gouging Fire's +1 Flare Blitz, and OHKO in return with Headlong Rush. Great Tusk's incredible offensive and defensive utility often warrants itself on offense and balance, and so allows it to have a wide range of suitable partners. Teammates that appreciate its ability to keep hazards off the field while being an offensive menace like Urshifu-R, Red Orb Raging Bolt, and Hisuian Arcanine warrant themselves as strong partners. Water and Ice resists like Arceus-Water, Alomomola, and the aforementioned Red Orb Raging Bolt (raging bolt rly doesnt want to switch into ursh or even pao, could say it checks them tho) warrant themselves as strong partners, being able to switch into threats like Urshifu-R and Chien-Pao while having their own utility in the form of pivoting, hazards, status, setup and wishpassing. Electric-types like Sandy Shocks and Raikou can punish Flying-types like Corviknight and Pinsirite Garganacl that attempt to take advantage of Great Tusk's inability to dent them are also notable, and likewise ungrounded Flying resists like Latiasite Magearna and Solgaleo can be accounted for with partners like Chien-Pao, Tough Claws Gouging Fire, and Red Orb Raikou (id mention smth like lunala instead cuz i dont think pao handles solg reliably enough).

Body Slam is notably difficult to switch into due to its paralysis chance and spammable nature. Rapid Spin removes entry hazards and turns it into a major threat as it can then outspeed nearly the entire metagame, only losing to Chien-Pao and the various Mega Deoxys-S sets. Bulk Up turns it into a fearsome setup sweeper that can even beat non-setup Corviknight, while Ice Spinner hits opposing Greak Great Tusk and common Pinsirite users like Garganacl and Iron Boulder. Great Tusk's incredible offensive and defensive utility often warrants itself on offense and balance, and so allows it to have a wide range of suitable partners. I'd argue this is kind of obvious, since the only notable playstyle left is Stall, which you don't want Tusk in, so I'd remove this personally, up to you though Teammates that appreciate its ability to keep hazards off the field while being an offensive menace like Urshifu-R, Red Orb Raging Bolt, and Hisuian Arcanine warrant themselves as strong partners. Water and Ice resists Allies that are resistant to Water- and Ice-type moves like Arceus-Water, Alomomola, and the aforementioned Red Orb Raging Bolt warrant themselves as strong partners, being able to switch into or force out threats like Urshifu-R and Chien-Pao while having their own utility in the form of pivoting, hazards, status, setup and wishpassing. I feel like this last sentence is kind of messy to read, I'll leave that to GP though

ok also WrathoftheLeopard i added a small bit at the end, "Likewise, non-grounded, Flying-resistant Pokemon like Latiasite Magearna and Solgaleo that would otherwise wall Great Tusk can be accounted for with partners like Lunala, Scizorite Weavile, Flare Blitz Gouging Fire, and Red Orb Raikou." - is this fine? otherwise implemented and (almost) ready for upload!
