[OVERVIEW]
Persian benefits immensely from the introduction of Tradebacks moves, gaining two incredibly powerful options in Hypnosis and Amnesia. With Hypnosis, Persian is one of the few physical attackers with a sleep-inducing move, allowing its team to spread paralysis liberally without having to worry about sleep being blocked by the likes of a paralyzed Chansey or Starmie. Amnesia, while less immediately threatening, allows Persian to set up on certain Special attackers and hit crucial KO thresholds +2 Special, notably 2HKOing Starmie with Thunderbolt, and OHKOing Rhydon with Bubble Beam. Amnesia is also the only way for Persian to break through it's hard counter, Gengar. Persian is also one of the fastest Pokemon in the meta game, out-speeding Tauros and tying with Starmie, letting it revenge kill the majority of the tier. Unfortunately for our feline friend, Persian has awful bulk, which can lead to teams using it crumbling under enough offensive pressure. Persian is also very reliant on its high speed to circumvent its frailty, which makes it deathly afraid of paralysis. Despite these issues, Persian manages to be one of the best Pokemon in the Tradebacks meta and contributes heavily to the faster pace of games.

This is Persian's quintessential set, giving it all the tools it needs to wreak havoc on the enemy's team. Slash shreds through the majority of the OU meta-game, cleanly 2HKOing Alakazam and giving it a 54% chance to 2HKO Chansey. Hypnosis compliments Persian's physical attacking prowess incredibly well. Special walls that would wall most sleep-inducers when paralyzed completely fold to Slash, allowing Persian to spread sleep nearly uncontested. This can be incredibly powerful when combined with a paralysis-inducing lead like Alakazam or Starmie, which can lure the opponent's special wall into taking paralysis for Persian to exploit later in the game. Bubble Beam allows Persian to 2HKO Rhydon, which would otherwise wall Persian. It can also act as a discount Body Slam which affects Normal-types, which can help Persian win the ditto or against a faster Pokemon switching into it. The fourth slot is flexible and provides it with improved match-ups against certain Pokemon. Thunderbolt allows Persian to deal 38% minimum to Cloyster, which is otherwise only 4HKO by Slash. Thunderbolt is also Persian's strongest attack against Gengar, but it still only does pitiful damage to it. Body Slam is generally just a great move, allowing Persian to paralyze faster Pokemon switching into it, which can be finished off with Slash. A critical-hit Body Slam after Slash twice also has good odds to 3HKO Snorlax, whom Persian has incredibly low odds to 3HKO with just Slash.
