Flygon-Ancient
Typing:

Abilities: Resin Preserve
Stats: 80 HP / 100 Atk / 80 Def / 80 SpA / 80 SpD / 100 Spe / 520 BST (unchanged)
This Pokemon's Bug-type moves become Rock-type moves. This effect comes after other effects that change a move's type, but before Ion Deluge and Electrify's effects.

Unlike other -ate abilities, this ability does not boost the power of affected moves.
New Moves: Absorb, Bullet Seed, Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Leafage, Leech Life, Leaf Storm, Leech Seed, Magical Leaf, Mega Drain, Wood Hammer
Removed Moves: Confide, Double Team, Feint, Fire Blast, Fire Punch, Fire Spin, Flail, Heat Wave, Laser Focus, Quick Attack, Swagger
“The resin coating its body has hardened into an amber as strong as diamond. The edges of its wings slice through trees as it soars through ancient swamps.”
Role: The 4x Ice weak mon that gives Ice-types the big middle finger. Rock-type First Impression makes Arctachoris very sad, while U-Turn and Leech LIfe kinda go hard when they become Rock-type as well.

Whismur-Ancient
Typing:

Abilities: Vital Spirit | Soundproof
Stats: 64 HP / 41 Atk / 33 Def / 46 SpA / 23 SpD / 33 Spe / 240 BST

Role: pure bab

Loudred-Ancient
Typing:

Abilities: Vital Spirit | Soundproof
Stats: 84 HP / 61 Atk / 53 Def / 66 SpA / 33 SpD / 63 Spe / 360 BST

New Moves: Meteor Beam, Parting Shot, Rock Blast, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge
Removed Moves: Rain Dance, Water Pulse
“Canyons in the prehistoric world are sometimes carved out by groups of this cacophonous Pokémon. A group of Loudred can stamp and scream with enough effort to blast away nearby rock.”
Role: screm

Exploud-Ancient
Typing:

Abilities: Vital Spirit | Audio Rupture
Stats: 104 HP / 81 Atk / 73 Def / 86 SpA / 53 SpD / 93 Spe / 490 BST
This Pokémon's sound-based moves have their power multiplied by 1.3. When this Pokémon uses a sound-based move, the targeted Pokémon has their Ability changed to Soundproof after the move is used. Does not affect a Pokémon which already has Soundproof or a Pokémon whose ability causes a form change.
New Moves: Meteor Beam, Parting Shot, Primeval Rock, Rock Blast, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge
Removed Moves: Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Surf, Water Pulse, Whirlpool
Type:

Category:

Base Power: 90
Accuracy: 100
PP: 5
Effect: Has a 100% chance to lower the target's Attack by 1 stage.
Priority: 0
Flags: Authentic, Mirror, Protect, Sound
“Ancient Exploud has prominent cranial tubes compared to its modern descendants. The shape of these tubs amplify its earthshaking howls to even greater volumes. Exploud with the most elaborate and colorful cranial tubes become the leader of the herd.”
Role: Does big numbers with Audio Rupture-boosted Boomburst and its new move Primeval Rock, but has to deal with an exploitable typing and Audio Rupture's secondary effect. Being able to replace the target's ability with Soundproof is a double-edged sword, as while there are a number of Pokémon that are hindered without their ability (examples include Garchomp, Scorcharnia, Swalot), this same effect prevents Exploud from spamming its most powerful attacks. This means that Choice sets have to really play hit-and-run more so than other Choice mons, and coverage becomes essential for Exploud. Parting Shot offers unique utility however, as Parting Shot effectively disables the target's ability along with dropping their offenses as Exploud tags out, becoming a powerful momentum gainer. Primeval Rock's Atk drop helps cover for Exploud's average bulk and numerous weaknesses, becoming a hard-hitting disruptive tool.

New Moves: Flare Blitz / X-Scizzor
Removed Moves: All Dragon type moves.
Role: Special wall and ice type check. The ice types in the meta seem to be a bit much, this walls them somewhat. Its still a good mon outside of walling ice types, as it's still pretty bulky.

Typing:

Ability: Thick Fat / Heavy Metal | Oblivious
Stats: 110 / 115 / 90 / 60 / 100 / 55 [530 BST]
New Moves (if any): Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Spikes
Removed Moves (if any): N/A
Role: The TRUE Hail answer. Rounds out our defensive Steel repertoire with the most proper Ice resist of all Ice resists, while also offering some great offensive power through high Attack and a solid movepool (the the nonSTAB Ice/Ground coverage :o). Gyro Ball, Iron Head, or the ever-popular Heavy Metal Heavy Slam mean common Hail cores are absolutely ruined by it, and it can even use Artachoris as setup fodder for Curse sets (which are very much viable). Seems like a super healthy addition to the meta, and I hope y'all agree.

Ancient Walrein did not live in ice and snow as it does now. Instead, it would live in frozen seas, cleaving through ice floes with its tusks and the tough metal plates on its body.

:rs/flygon:
Typing:

Ability: Levitate | Vibrato
Stats: 80 / 80 / 80 / 100 / 80 / 100 [520 BST]
New Moves (if any): Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, Heal Bell
Removed Moves (if any): All Dragon moves except Dragon Dance
Customs: Vibrato: This Pokemon's sound-based moves become Electric type.
Role: Fun special breaker or scarfer, with good STABs and amazing coverage in Vibrato+Boomburst. Can probably pull off bulky sets as well, similar to normal Flygon, since a 4x rocks resist is super nice on a pivot. Also adds another Fighting type (and a special one at that!), which is nice.

:rs/exploud:
Typing:

Ability: Tar Runner | Scrappy
Stats: 80 / 115 / 80 / 80 / 60 / 75 [490 BST]
New Moves (if any): Close Combat, Fake Out, Flip Turn, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Tar Pit
Removed Moves (if any): N/A
Customs: Tar Runner: This Pokemon's speed is 2x in Tar Terrain.
Role: Not just a Tar abuser. Exploud-Sludge is a powerful physical Tar Terrain abuser with a very unfortunate STAB combination, leaving it to be ruined by Ghoulpion and other bulky Ghosts. However, all of this changes if you decide to run Scrappy, as now it has no resists to dual STABs + CC, making it very much a force to be reckoned with as a breaker.

In the distant past, Exploud would swim through the pitch black pits of tar that dotted the landscape, using its large mouth to echolocate and find prey. (Yes, this means Exploud-Sludge has webbed feet. It's weird.)

shoutout to regic for the idea for exploud's ability name

Pokémon: Flygon-Ascendant
Typing: Ground / Fairy
Abilities: Levitate / One-in-All
One-in-All: On switch-in, the opponent's highest stat is boosted by one stage for the user.
Stats: 80 / 100 / 80 / 80 / 80 / 100 [BST: 520]
Arguably the best offensive typing in the game with great offenses, DD, and what is essentially Download but the stat boost is more often useful than not. Please remove One-in-All, and either remove Dragon Dance or nerf its Attack heavily (-20ish).

Pokémon: Flygon-Mystical
Typing: Bug/Ghost
Abilities: Levitate/Ha: Siren’s Chorus*-This Pokemon’s sound moves have a 30% chance of disabling an opponent’s move.
Stats: 80/80/80/100/80/100 Bst: 520
New Moves: Quiver Dance, Ominous Wind, Shadow Ball, Night Shade
Removed Moves: All Ground and Dragon moves
This ability is extremely degenerate, particularly on a fast mon. Being able to just stop your opponent from your attacking 30% of the time is very unhealthy, and council requests that you remove this effect entirely. Additionally, Quiver Dance breaks this Pokemon. Calm Mind would be an acceptable replacement, but please remove QD.

Flygon - Wanderer
Typing:
Rock/Ghost
Abilities: Levitate/Wandering Spirit
Stats: HP 75 (-5) / Atk 115 (+15) / Def 65 (-15) / SpA 80 (+0) / SpD 70 (-10) / Spe 115 (+15) / BST 520
New Moves: *Wanderer's Light, Destiny Bond, Poltergeist, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Confuse Ray, Phantom Force, Head Smash, Rock Blast, Power Gem, Stealth Rock, Ancient Power
Removed Moves: All Dragon-type moves, Superpower, Boomburst, Thunder Punch, Solar Beam, Giga Drain, Sunny Day, Brutal Swing, Roost,
This is simply an issue of stats. STAB Poltergeist and Head Smash coming off of 115/115 offenses is far too much (just look at Swalot; that mon can't even hold an item and it's still borderline). Council requests you drop one of its offensive stats by about 20 points and remove Head Smash.

Exploud-Ancient
Typing:

Abilities: Vital Spirit | Audio Rupture
Stats: 104 HP / 81 Atk / 73 Def / 86 SpA / 53 SpD / 93 Spe / 490 BST
210 BP STAB Boomburst.....
This ability is broken, particularly with this Pokemon's signature move. Both Boomburst and Primeval Rock are stronger than Deafening Shriek (the move I believe this ability takes inspiration from), and in case you hadn't noticed base Deafening Shriek is likely to be nerfed. Council highly recommends removing this ability entirely.

Pokémon: Flygon-Mechanized
Typing: Steel / Bug
Abilities: Sand Rush
Stats: 90 / 100 / 80 / 80 / 110 / 60 [BST-500]

New Moves: Brave Bird / Iron Head / Roost / Autotomize
Removed Moves: All Dragon type moves.
Unfortunately, this mon is probably unsalvageable in its current state. Firstly, you've given this Roost when Flygon already learns Roost, but beyond that this is a 90/80/110 bulk Bug/Steel with reliable recovery in a meta with Tar Terrain. If you would like to fix this, please remove its Steel typing or replace it with another type.

Typing: Water/Ghost
Abilities: Cannonade (ballistic moves are boosted by 1.5)
Stats: 95/70/85/110/95/75 (530 BST)
New Moves: Walritzer, Shadow Ball, Will-O-Wisp, Hex, Spite, Pain Split, Night Shade, Energy Ball, Shadow Sneak, Bite, Crunch, Aura Sphere
180 BP STAB Water TAxel.....
Cannonade is broken, especially with this mon's STABs. Keep in mind you have essentially given this thing Astral Barrage. Please rework Cannonade and potentially remove Walritzer if you still have it boost ballistic moves' power.

And finally,

The BST Zone
Mercupty 's Exploud (492; needs to be 490)
Mercupty 's Walrein (525; needs to be 530)
megaspoopy000 's Exploud (493; needs to be 490)

You know the drill: as this is an Ancient Form slate, the BST of your Ancient form needs to be the same as the base mon. Please use a calculator for your mons y'all, this takes so long to do.

If it wasn't clear already, submissions are closed. 24 hours to correct vetos as usual, and then voting will open.

All vetoes have been corrected, and voting is now open.
  • Each Pokémon will be voted for separately.
  • There is no limit on the amount of submissions you can vote for.
  • First Place will count for 3 points, Second Place for 2, and all others will count for 1 point.
  • Self Votes may not be First Place, and have a limit of 6 points total.

You know the drill, 48 hours as usual. Have fun!

There'll be a 24 hour discussion phase as usual, and then we'll move on to our next Fakemon slate. Have fun discussing these new additions to our meta!

Flygon-classical adds a special fighting type with a great speed tier that hits pretty hard.

Walrein-Ancient rounds out our fighting types and adds a ice resist that takes advantage of choiced locked ice types. Could also be a formidable albeit niche physical wall with fur coat.

Exploud-Ancient has decent speed tier for a special wallbreaker. It has great coverage allowing to hit relevant rock resist in bastiodon and carracosta. And could be a decent pivot with parting shot and set hazards with stealth rock.

FEEL OLD YET? PromptMons was more than a month ago! In need of a better metagame, we are taking another shot at it, this time with a very straightforward selection of prompts for you to make your Fakemon based around them. Let's stop with the unnecessary comments and jump right in at the prompts!

1. Specially Defensive Pokémon that resists the Flying / Ice Type combo: We need to stop :arctovish:. This also helps because it gives us a good Specially Defensive Pokémon for the mod, and the Hail cores are very strong on the meta as it is. Would also be helpful to have a neutrality or a resistance to Hydro Pump, since Artachoris has it.

2. Bulky Water with a way to reliably hit Swalot: This one is VERY straightforward. Our bulky waters get heavily exploited by :swalot:-Primal, and having a good way to pressure it on the 1v1 is something we would like to have.

3. Pokémon with a Mega Evolution that has a different role than it: As an example, let's take :swampert: and :swampert-mega:. They both have different roles, with :swampert: being a bulky hazard setter and :swampert-mega: being a rain abuser. A reminder to be careful with this one, because it is REQUIRED for it to have a mega (it's optional for the other ones.)

You have a week to submit your mons, and let's make this a great slate for the mod!

Notable Moves: Thunder Tail(Dragon Tail Clone), Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, Magnet Rise, Thunder Fang, Wild Charge, Heavy Slam, Iron Defense, Body Press, Earthquake, Bulldoze, Headbutt, Rock Slide, Dragon Tail, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Tail Slap
Description: This mon is a great stop to hail, It stone walls Artchaoris and does decently against Aurorous if your running air balloon or magnet rise. Besides being a hail check this mon can serve as a fat mon that can come in and take a few hits and it can also be a useful rocks setter.

Notable Moves: Scald, Surf, Liquidation, Waterfall, Flip Turn, Earthquake, Drill Run, Earth Power, Scorching Sands, Shore Up, Zen Headbutt, Body Slam, Scale Shot, Toxic, Ice Beam, Knock Off
Descrpiton: This mon provides a very intuitive solution to the Swalot problem, Swalot can’t be hit with any water type moves so just make a mon with a quad effective secondary stab lmao. Besides being a good Swalot answer this mon provides a very sturdy Water/Ground who can stay in the game for a long time thanks to Shore Up and deal good chip damage to the opposing team with Rough Skin. It can also serve as an excellent pivot with slow Flip Turn.

Descrpiton: The Base form of sliceratops serves as a great physically defensive wall with a variety of unique tools. It has spikes which it easily set thanks to its good bulk and relatively good speed for a wall. Pressure allows Sliceratops to potentially PP stall with Substitute and Protect and it can even run Horn Leech on this set for some recovery. Finally it has a unique way of spreading staus with Beak Blast which if used correctly can cripple many dangerous physical attackers.

Additionally Blademaster also helps give boosts to its coverage moves in Sacred Sword and Leaf Blade. Overall Sliceratops-Mega if used correctly can be a devasting offensive threat

Bitturnalia (Bitter + Saturnalia)
Prompt: Specially Defensive Pokémon that resists the Flying / Ice Type combination
Typing:
/

Abilities:
Magic Guard / Cloud Nine
Stats: 85 / 79 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 70 | 544 BST
Movepool: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Recover, Spark, Thunder Wave, Swords Dance, Triple Axel, Wild Charge, Leech Life, Energy Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Nuzzle, Hidden Power, Rest, Protect, Substitute, Pursuit, Toxic, Disable, Triple Kick, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Thunder, Sheer Cold, Mist, Powder Snow, Thunder Shock, Hail, Electric Terrain, Bind, Dragon Tail, Bite, Crunch, Hyper Fang, Roar
Height & Weight: Height: 1m | Weight: 15 kg
Description: This Pokémon preys on the dwellers of the snowy mountains of the Paleoland for it to eat on the hottest days, since its snow crystals can feed it during snowstorms and hails. Being very small doesn't help it, because on a place that has the enormous Aurorus living on it, a singular Bitturnalia cannot do anything about it, having to call its allies for that. This is why the Bitturnalia specimens that live outside the huge groups always focus on going into a one-on-one combat with the Artachoris of the mountain's heart, because they have their own ways to defeat them.
Bitturnalia is inspired on the Brazillian dinosaur Saturnalia, and its a pretty solid Pokémon that can tank and hit, having great tools by its side, with a very lackluster Defense Stat and a good SpA Stat for the mod, but its nothing too serious.

Flavor(if you want to): Based on the idea of requite and the one of the largest flying dinosaurs quetzalcoatlus. Requite means make appropriate return for (a favor, service, or wrongdoing): and where it gets its signature mega ability, Avenger from.
Role: Physical wall, Physical Wallbreaker, Revenge killer (mega)
Description: Base form Requetzal plays the role of a consistent defensive pivot and physical check to multiple Physical threats such as garchomp-persistent, Armaldo-ancient, Spinollina-mega, etc. It adds a much needed Bulky ground immunity as our current flying types are more offensively geared. Its Requetzal-mega is meant to be a powerful revenge killer that comes in after an ally faints and hits the opponent with an Avenger-boosted attack. Outside of revenge killing the mega can be a solid wall breaker with the combination of its stabs hitting most of the tier neutrally or super effectively.

Role: Hazard Setter / Special Wall
Role Explanation: Sprihino is a perfect counter to artachoris, and can wall other special attackers as well. Despite this low attack stat, Head Smash still decimates artachoris.
Flavor: This pokemon is the ghost of a species of endagered pokemon. As a ghost, it uses its newfound powers to construct a body similar to its old one using nearby metals.

Terrorzino
"Terror" + "Therizinosaurus"
"Tehr-err-zee-noh"
Prompt: SpeDef mon that cucks Arctachoris
Typing:

Abilities: Hyper Cutter | Overcoat
Stats: 80 HP / 125 Atk / 60 Def / 100 SpA / 100 SpD / 60 Spe / 525 BST
Weight: 574.6 kg

Defining Moves: Dragon Tail, Drain Punch, Earthquake, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Ice Beam, Iron Head, Incinerate, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch
Subobtimal Moves: Aerial Ace, Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Brutal Swing, Bulldoze, Confide, Counter, Cross Poison, Crush Claw, Cut, Detect, Dig, Double-Edge, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Dynamic Punch, False Swipe, Feint, Focus Punch, Frustration, Fury Cutter, Fury Swipes, Giga Impact, Heavy Slam, Hidden Power, Hone Claws, Hyper Beam, Iron Defense, Iron Tail, Laser Focus, Metal Claw, Night Slash, Outrage, Razor Wind, Return, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Rock Smash, Scary Face, Shadow Claw, Shock Wave, Slash, Smart Strike, Steel Beam, Steel Roller, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, Strength, Tackle, Thunder, X-Scissor
Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
"It wanders alone, seeking powerful foes to challenge. Its huge blade-like claws are sharp enough to slice through even Bastiodon's face armor."
"While it may be fearsome, this Pokémon is a plant-eater, using its claws to cut apart brush to eat. It sharpens its claws on boulders as a part of its daily routine."

Terrorzino is based off of Therizinosaurus, a herbivorous theropod dinosaur with large claws that were likely used to manipulate vegetation and to defend itself either through intimidation or direct combat. Therizinosaurus lived during the late Cretaceous in what is now known as the Nemegt formation in the Gobi desert, having notably lived alongside the apex predator Tarbosaurus.

For the design, I decided to evoke an armored samurai to play up the claws and Steel-typing.
Role: Literally all of our Steel-types are neutral to Ice, so all we need to beat Arctachoris is a pure Steel-type. I decided to go with a Goodra-style build to make this more than just Fat Steel 3-D.
  • Great special bulk and typing allows Terrorzino to reliably beat Arctachoris. With full special bulk investment, Arctachoris becomes a nonissue and it's even able to trade with Aurorus' Earth Power if Terrozino is above 62% HP.
  • Overcoat prevents hail chip, further improving the MU against hail.
  • Terrorzino's 125 Atk and 100 SpA along with colorful coverage gives it a respectable offensive presence even when investing in bulk.
  • Volt Switch allows for pivoting and is especially useful on an AV set.
  • Support options in Stealth Rock, Dragon Tail and Thunder Wave.
  • Could potentially pull off an SD set, but its poor Speed leaves it with limited sweeping potential.
  • Speaking of, Terrorzino gets outpaced by threats such as Garchomp and Alohwo, while its poor Def leaves it vulnerable to strong physical attacks.
  • Terrorzino is also reliant on Drain Punch for recovery.
  • 252 SpA Articuno Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Aggron-Mega: 79-94 (21.7 - 25.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 SpA Articuno Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Aggron-Mega: 109-129 (30 - 35.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 0 Atk Aggron-Mega Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Articuno: 254-300 (79.1 - 93.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Aurorus Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Aggron-Mega: 258-304 (71 - 83.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • 252 SpA Choice Specs Aurorus Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Aggron-Mega: 188-222 (51.7 - 61.1%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
In the event physical Arctachoris becomes relevant, here's a calc for that as well. This is also assuming specially defensive Terrorzino remains the standard defensive spread.
  • 252 Atk Articuno Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Aggron-Mega: 130-153 (35.8 - 42.1%) -- 93% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Teenizino
"Teeny-tiny" + "Therizinosaurus"
"Tee-nee-zee-noh"
Typing:

Abilities: Run Away | Overcoat
Stats: 55 HP / 40 Atk / 35 Def / 40 SpA / 60 SpD / 80 Spe / 310 BST
Weight: 114.2 kg

Moves: Aerial Ace, Body Slam, Brick Break, Brutal Swing, Bulldoze, Confide, Counter, Cross Poison, Crush Claw, Cut, Detect, Dig, Double-Edge, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Tail, Drain Punch, Dynamic Punch, Earthquake, False Swipe, Feint, Flash Cannon, Focus Punch, Frustration, Fury Cutter, Fury Swipes, Heavy Slam, Hidden Power, Hone Claws, Incinerate, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Laser Focus, Metal Claw, Night Slash, Razor Wind, Return, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Rock Smash, Scary Face, Shadow Claw, Shock Wave, Slash, Smart Strike, Stealth Rock, Steel Beam, Steel Roller, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, Strength, Swords Dance, Tackle, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, X-Scissor
Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute

"Its short arms are ineffective for defending itself, so its only means of avoiding predation is to flee as quickly as possible."
"It swallows mineral-rich stones to aid in digesting tough plant matter. The minerals are also essential for this Pokémon to develop its metallic claws."

In contrast with its evolution, Teenizino has nubby little arms and is meant to evoke a ninja.

Monstrovis
"Monstrous" + "Pelorovis"
"Mohn-stroh-viss"
Prompt: Bulky Water that cucks Swalot
Typing:

Abilities: Mold Breaker / Lightning Rod | Own Tempo
Stats: 123 HP / 112 Atk / 60 Def / 50 SpA / 75 SpD / 75 Spe / 495 BST
Weight: 470 kg

Defining Moves: Bulk Up, Earthquake, Horn Leech, Liquidation, Rapid Spin, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Superpower
Subobtimal Moves: Aerial Ace, Aqua Tail, Avalanche, Blizzard, Body Slam, Bulldoze, Confide, Cut, Dig, Dive, Double-Edge, Earth Power, Focus Energy, Frustration, Fury Attack, Giga Impact, Hail, Headbutt, Hidden Power, High Horsepower, Horn Attack, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Leer, Megahorn, Mud Bomb, Muddy Water, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Mud Sport, Poison Jab, Nature Power, Payback, Protect, Retaliate, Return, Roar, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Tomb, Rollout, Sandstorm, Scald, Skull Bash, Smart Strike, Stomp, Stomping Tantrum, Strength, Surf, Tackle, Tail Whip, Take Down, Waterfall, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Zen Headbutt, Yawn
Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
"Believed to be a distant ancestor to Tauros, its impressive size and horns makes it near impossible to be preyed upon."
"It often battles against Mamoswine for food and territory, clashing its sturdy horns with Mamoswine's icy tusks."

Monstrovis is based off of Pelorovis, an extinct genus of bovine whose species consists of some of the largest land mammals ever discovered. Pelorovis lived during the Pleistocene period, the Ice Age, and may have went extinct only 4,000 years ago. While the shape of the horns varies on the species, some Pelorovis species are notable for long curved horns that would've formed a half-circle in life.
Role: This prompt seems really straightforward, so here we go.
  • Mold Breaker allows Monstrovis to ignore Swalot's Storm Drain and nail it with Liquidation. EQ is also a thing. Mold Breaker also lets it bypass Lixitonia’s Levitate and Spinollina’s Water Absorb.
  • Good coverage and Atk makes it a strong Band user or a Bulk Up sweeper.
  • Excellent typing, solid bulk and utility options with Stealth Rock, Yawn, and Rapid Spin lets Monstrovis pull off defensive sets as well.
  • Bulk Up + Rapid Spin can be used as a tech cleaner set.
  • Can be quickly worn down and is reliant on Horn Leech for recovery.

Splashorn
"Splash" + "Horn"
"Splash-ohrn"
Typing:

Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute

"If one hears a cacophony of high-pitched mooing, it is likely a herd of social Splashorn frolicking about."
"It often playfights using its tough horns. Monstrovis circle around young Splashorn to protect them from hungry predators."

I do not know how to draw mammals, here is an attempt at a baby one.

Defining Moves: Accelerock, Breaking Swipe, Draco Meteor, Dual Chop, Earthquake, Earth Power, Fake Out, High Jump Kick, Psychic, Psyshock, Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Switcheroo, Thunderbolt, U-Turn
Subobtimal Moves: Aerial Ace, Body Slam, Brick Break, Brutal Swing, Bulldoze, Crunch, Cut, Dark Pulse, Dig, Double-Edge, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail, Fling, Fury Cutter, Giga Impact, Harden, Headbutt, High Horsepower, Hyper Beam, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Lash Out, Low Kick, Mega Kick, Metal Claw, Meteor Beam, Mud Slap, Outrage, Poison Fang, Rain Dance, Reversal, Power Gem, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Sandstorm, Sand Tomb, Scary Face, Screech, Shadow Claw, Shock Wave, Smack Down, Solar Beam, Stomp, Stomping Tantrum, Strength, Sunny Day, Tackle, Take Down, Thunder, Zen Headbutt
Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute
"Its stone fangs are suitable for chewing up both plants and prey. After it became extinct, ancient people would craft its fossilized teeth into spearheads."
"The power of Mega Evolution has greatly increased its intellect, to the point where it can wield psychic powers. Much of its stone body has shed away to reveal fragile crystals that amplify its psychic powers even further."

Trobsidon is based on the genus Troodon, which is currently dubious. Members of Troodon were believed to be the smartest of all dinosaurs, and this led to the crackpot theory of the Dinosauroid, a hypothetical scenario where Troodon would evolve towards hyperintelligent and eerily human bodies had they not gone extinct. It was of course widely mocked, but I thought that it would be a fun idea for the Mega.

While base Trobsidon has obsidian teeth and scales, Mega Trobsidon is decked out in smooth crystals as a reference to opalized fossils, where fossilized remains are replaced with opal.

Merciless and Poison Fang are references to the Troodon in Jurassic Park: The Game, where the cloned Troodon were depicted with a venomous bite.
Role:
  • Base Trobsidon is a speedy physical breaker with Technician-boosted Accelerock, Rock Blast, Dual Chop, Fake Out and Breaking Swipe.
  • Accelrock allows it to revenge-kill Arctachoris in hail.
  • Breaking Swipe is especially cool for punishing physical attackers and Technician makes it strong enough to be used as its main STAB.
  • Mega Trobsidon is a speedy special breaker that uniquely has a defensive ability in Solid Rock to compensate for its numerous weaknesses. Its increased Atk allows it to effectively pull off a mixed set with HJK.
  • Solid coverage with EQ/EP, TBolt and HJK.
  • Utility options in U-Turn, Stealth Rock and Switcheroo.
  • Can clean with Rock Polish.
