EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Spikes / Stealth Rock
- Nuzzle
Desolate Land Entei is a rising star in BH, with its powerful Sun boosted V creates Ohkoing even bulky Pokemon such as Regigigas and Xerneas with an Adamant nature. How will u support this dog?

Xerneas @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Boomburst
- V-create
- Diamond Storm
- Strength Sap
Entei's powerful stab move and Pixilate wallbreaker Xerneas form a good collaboration. Diamond storm defeated their common enemy Ho-Oh. Entei's hazards can also help Xerneas make a better breakthrough.

Ginnungagap (Guzzlord) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Core Enforcer
- Knock Off
- Shore Up
- U-turn

Fur Coat Guzzlord is an excellent teammate for Entei as it can easily Imposter-Proof it and can wall strong attackers such as Groudon and Blacephelon that would otherwise take advantage of it.

252+ Atk Entei V-create vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Fur Coat Guzzlord in Harsh Sunshine: 128-151 (19.6 - 23.2%) -- possible 5HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Adaptability Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Fur Coat Guzzlord: 252-298 (38.7 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Adaptability Blacephalon Blue Flare vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Guzzlord: 249-293 (38.3 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Additionally, Guzzlord is an excellent response to Zygarde-Complete, one of the few hard stops to Entei because it can switch into its ground moves and gain the momentum advantage with its slower U-Turn.

252 Atk Zygarde Thousand Waves vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Fur Coat Guzzlord: 72-85 (11 - 13%) -- possible 8HKO

Kyurem-White @ Choice Specs
Ability: Refrigerate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Clanging Scales / Blue Flare
- Trick / Blue Flare
- Volt Switch

Kyu-W partners well with Entei as Nuzzle is excellent at slowing down faster, OHKO-KyuW threats like Xerneas and Eternatus, removing their ability to threaten out Kyu-W. Nuzzle also shuts down the fast specially defensive Steel-types that can wall Kyu-W (Solgaleo and Zamazenta-C), allowing it to break past with a Boomburst that can 2HKO PSea variants or a Blue Flare that can 2HKO Scales variants (note that these 2HKOs need high rolls, so running Spikes on Entei might help here). Kyu-W also appreciates Entei only running Fire STAB, as it tends to invite in Dragon-type Magic Bounce users like Zygarde-C and Giratina who want to stop hazards, both of which Kyu-W can easily exploit.

:ss/palkia:
Palkia @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fishious Rend
- Dragon Energy
- Nuzzle

Palkia deals with bulky Dragons and Ho-Oh, notably Magic Bounce variants, allowing Entei to freely click V-Create, and Improofs Entei after activating Toxic Orb. Entei provides a Xerneas switch-in, provides Spikes and Nuzzle support that facilitates Palkia self-Improofing and punishes the switching around that Palkia forces, and can break Steels that Palkia might have trouble with.

Week 59: AAA MGLO Volcanion!
:Ss/Volcanion:
Volcanion @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Steam Eruption
- Flare Blitz
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast / Sludge Bomb

With the abundance of RegenVest, Intimidate, and Dauntless Shield, mixed attackers are a great way to bypass defensive cores and hit the weaker stat. Flare Blitz significantly secures the 2HKO against standard Blissey sets and out most common RegenVesters (everyone stopped using Swampert, right?) while Steam Eruption has excellent power and that sweet, sweet burn chance on opposing physically defensive walls. Earth Power nails Toxapex, Sludge Bomb catches Tapu Fini, and Fire Blast is just more power. Volcanion has the bulk to threaten out most offensive pokemon and the speed to get the jump on most defensive walls. However, it’s still slow, has no recovery, and needs help getting positioning to do the real work. It also needs a teammate to clean up after it. How will you support Volcanion?

Submissions will open until Monday, August 15th, 11:00 AM GMT-4. Remember reservations are only good for 24 hours, so post your sets and explanations quickly!

Offensive Core: Volcanion and Dhelmise

:Ss/Volcanion:
Volcanion @ Life Orb

Hasty Nature

- Fire Blast / Sludge Bomb

:xy/dhelmise:
Dhelmise @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 216 HP / 252 Atk / 40 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Poltergeist
- Grassy Glide
- Rapid Spin

:dhelmise: is a great partner for :volcanion:, as the two form an Offensive FWG (Fire-Water-Grass) core, and cover each other's weaknesses beautifully. :volcanion: struggles to get pass specific Bulky Waters and specific Special Walls, however, :dhelmise: is a Physical Grass type that rips through those with relative ease. Grassy Glide provides speed control to help vs faster targets, that would threaten out :volcanion:, such as :garchomp:. Grassy Surge also provides two great passives for :volcanion:: Weakening Earthquake, and providing passive recovery. Simiarlily, :dhelmise: struggles to get past Fire Types such as :talonflame:. However, :volcanion: can switch into :talonflame:'s Flare Blitz with relative ease due to it's Quadruple Fire resistance. It also scares fire types out due to it's good bulk and Steam Eruption. Steam Eruption is also able to burn, which can help :dhelmise: get in vs Pokemon that it usually doesn't want to switch into. Dhelmise can put a dent into Dragon types with it's strong, possibly SD Boosted Poltergeist.:volcanion: can weaken defensive cores for :dhelmise: to clean up later. They are very different mons, and they cover their weaknesses well, outside of Speed, which is covered by Grassy Glide's priority. Overrall, I believe :dhelmise: and :volcanion: are a great offensive core.

Garchomp is an excellent teammate of Volcanion. On the defensive side, they complement each other in resistance. Garchomp resists Rock type moves and Electric type moves for Volcanion, while Volcanion performs well in resisting Ice type moves. Regenerator gives Garchomp better endurance. In terms of attack, not only can Garchomp's Stealth Rock make a better breakthrough for Volcanion, but also Ground Water and Fire types form a good attack surface, which is also based on the fact that they are not afraid of stealth rock.

Week 60: MnM Solgaleo!

Ability: Full Metal Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Agility / Morning Sun

Solgaleo has great bulk and stats. It also likes moves that have secondary effects, and can either boost its Speed or recover reliably to clean offensive teams or set up against fat teams. Cameruptite dramatically boosts the power of Flash Cannon and Thunderbolt, which have fairly decent coverage together. How will you use Solgaleo?

Submissions will open until Monday, August 22nd, 11:00 AM GMT-4. Remember reservations are only good for 24 hours, so post your sets and explanations quickly!

SET 1: Screens Support

Regieleki @ Light Clay
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 252 Def / 136 SpA / 120 Spe
Bold Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Rapid Spin / Explosion
- Volt Switch

Screens support Regieleki provides Solgaleo with easy opportunity to set up multiple boosts before sweeping, along with threatening the rare Banettite Toxapex. Rapid Spin is moreso used to support other Pokemon, but notably prevents free Spikes stacking from Skarmory. Explosion both prevents Defog from clearing Reflect and Light Screen while dealing massive damage in the process, giving Solgaleo an almost instant way to break an opposing team with few risks, although Regieleki should instead use a Lax nature. Volt Switch is used to save Regieleki for setting Screens later in the game while still heavily denting Flying-types like Ho-oh and Zapdos or Water-types like Milotic and Slowbro. Agility is the chosen 4th move for Solgaleo as Morning Sun is almost completely useless with the provided extra bulk from Light Screen and Reflect, and the added Speed allows Solgaleo to outpace the entire metagame.

:ss/regieleki:
SET 2: Altarianite Pivot
Regieleki @ Altarianite
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 252 Atk / 69 Def / 84 SpA / 104 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion / Thunderbolt / Wild Charge
- Volt Switch

Altarianite Regieleki is a much more active support Pokemon for Cameruptite Solgaleo that can beat Fighting-Types like Lopunnite Zeraora and Zapdos-Galar and Dragon-types like Dragapult and Dragonite with little to no issue, and Water- and Flying-types like Milotic and Ho-oh on the switch. In return, Solgaleo is able to threaten breakers like Zapdos, Kartana, and non-Flare Blitz Solgaleo, plus walls like Blissey, Magearna, and Mew. For this reason Morning Sun is used as to allow Solgaleo to come in multiple times throughout the game, although on some teams Agility may be more applicable. This spread allows Regieleki to live one Extreme Speed from opposing Regieleki after Stealth Rock or 1 Spike's worth of residual damage, Ho-oh and Milotic to be 2HKO'd before Mega Evolution with Volt Switch, and for Thunderbolt to 2HKO after Mega Evolution almost of the time while still having high Speed.

Loppunite Barraskewda makes a great core with Cameruptite Solgaleo as it able to help threaten the Ground-, Electric-, and Fire-type Pokemon that Cameruptite Solgaleo has trouble beating. Loppunite Barraskewda is able to force out Ho-Oh,Sablenite or Ampharosite Blissey, Mettagrossite Kartana, and Ampharosite Skarmory, all of whom are able to switch into Solgaleo's attacks and either force it out or stay in withour fear. Loppunite Barraskewda also provides both pivoting to allow Cameruptite Solgaleo to enter the field into good matchups such as Sablenite Milotic and Sablenite Slowbro and speed control to make up for Cameruptite Solgaleo's low speed.

Metagrossite Zarude can help Cameruptite Solgaleo to beat Ground-type mons and soft check Electric-type mons. Rock slide can effectively defeat common enemy Ho-Oh, powerful stab moves help Solgaleo to beat Blissey that Cameruptite Solgaleo has trouble beating. U-Turn gives Solgaleo a chance to enter. Kept forgetting to post oops zzz… anyways Reuniclus is still pretty weak to physical dark types (especially ttar still) and U-turn so pairing it with something that can tank those pretty easily is good, plus Buzzwole can force momentum by bringing in clef and toxapex which reuni generally can capitalize on

Shift Gear Ho-Oh is a strong wallbreaker/cleaner on Hyper Offense, using its great coverage and powerful STAB V create to capitalise on BH's lack of good Water-types. How you support this underappreciated phoenix?

Shift Gear Ho-Oh, whether Desolate Land or Magic Guard, threatens basically the entire tier at +1 - exception being Primordial Sea Steel-types. Simple Eternatus exploits this dependency with Earth Power, which can OHKO PSea Steel-types after a boost, and Lum Berry lets you muscle past RegenVest Kyogre that can hang on and neutralize Ho-Oh with Nuzzle. In return, Ho-Oh slams Prankster users due to V-create's massive unboosted power.

This set improofs the ho-oh and provides utility in flip turn and nuzzling imp and taking on most regigigas' (one's lacking pblades). Ho-oh also appreciates the chip from flip turn that zamac provides on fat zygc, allowing glance to score the KO.

Fur Coat Reshisram is probably the best option to Imposter-Proof Reshiram due to its quad resistance to Fire and Neutrality to Glacial Lance. It also serves as an effective physical wall against opposing Ho-Oh and Regigigas seta whilst not being passive due to Fire Lash. Fire Lash also is a good way to chip away at an opponent's physical defense to provide opportunities for Ho-Oh to claim KOs and sweep.

It does struggle with a few threats like Swampert and non-DesoTran, and likes teammates that can soften those threats up. What will you partner with Genesect before it maybe gets yeeted?
