OM Mashup Megathread

I shared some thoughts on the Waks on Tuesday and since Roldski32 shares a lot of my sentiments I'm not going to do another detailed writeup. I'll just quickly go over the key points of my reasoning.

I believe Alowak is way weaker, mainly due to his typing. Fire/Ghost is weak to rocks, weak to Foulplay and Knockoff - making Alowak much more fragile. Flare Blitz as his main STAB hurts his longevity as well. In addition to that, 100 less across his BST is a big difference, especially when it comes to speed. Last, lots of popular rockers hit Alowak supereffectively, limiting setup opportunities.

Given all of that i vote to BAN MAROWAK.
'
NO BAN AROMATISSE, since it's been pretty much nonexistent ever since the rise of Wak, but I do believe it warrants keeping an eye on after Wak stops terrorizing the meta.

  • Marowak gets too much attack and gets too fast with terrain or weather support
  • I fear Marowak Alola would be just as strong as while stats are lower, it's offensive typing is definitely better. It can also get the double stab with sunlight - and it still has moves like earthquake. While rocks weakness is a thing, usually the terrain setter/weather setter can just have fog or spin making this way less of an issue.
  • Coverage slams nearly every bulky mon in the tier - edqe+quake is broken especially as literally every physical wall is weak to ground
Aromatisse is walled by steels which are quite common, aroma has never pulled off a sweep from what I've seen. Haze isn't that rare, neither is taunt.
I didn't use Marowak because I didn't want to have to build a new team later - it definitely is quite broken and there is opportunity cost not running it.

A lot of your sets have EVs in both Atk amd Spa despite only having physical or special attacks. Is that an oversight or intentional?

I double checked it but, i don't really see a problem, you must be talking about their ts stats? I put them above the sets
Edit: or were you mistaken the "Spe" for Special Attack

I wanted to post about a few sets that I'm REALLY liking in TSAAA right now, and what I think about the possible Thick Club-less meta now.

187650

Absol @ Life Orb
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough
- Swords Dance

Absol is the tier's premiere physical attacker without Marowak, in my eyes. 115 Speed isn't incredible, but I have found that with Webs support it can sweep teams all on its' lonesome with a single SD boost.

This mon is amazing in part thanks to its' versatility. Want to put it on an Electric Surge team? Give it Galvanize. Want to have it slap through Mandibuzz and Guzzlord without having to rely on Play Rough? Try Refrigerate. It can run Adaptability for horrifically strong Sucker Punch and Knock Off, can run Pursuit as a tech move, and it has a plethora of other abilities that are extremely strong too. Just to name a few: Aerilate, Guts, Hustle, Moxie, Tinted Lens...

It has options. And a lot of them. It hits hard and has a good priority move for stopping most speed doubling mons in their tracks.

A couple of replays to demonstrate the power of Absol:

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7almostanyability-951168981
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7almostanyability-951177625 (Basically a full sweep from Absol)

187651

Golem @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Sucker Punch
- Explosion

You can run Water Absorb but I find that there are quite a few annoying Grass type pokemon around, far more than there are Water types. The most prevalent Water, in my experience, is Mantine- which you're not really going to be doing anything to in the first place.

Golem has a really nice Attack stat to begin with- it reaches 460 unboosted- and it has just enough defense to usually be able to survive a SE hit from any non-Water attack. Usually you can net at least one kill and set rocks with this mon.

I'm gonna add on to the post above a bit with some of my own Absol web replays. I used Defiant for the great synergy it has with webs as a playstyle.
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7almostanyability-946054371
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7almostanyability-946233741
Absol has a phenomenal 170 base attack and STAB on Knock Off, one of the best moves in the game, with the ability to kill the prominent Dark resists like Mandibuzz with Play Rough and fantastic revenge killing ability due to the sheer power of it's Sucker Punch. Certainly a strong mon to watch out for, more so when people start trying to replace their Marowaks with other hard hitting physical mons.

Another mon I'd like to discuss is the other Golem, which has key access to Volt Switch to aid it as a pivot.
Golem-Alola @ Assault Vest/Leftovers/Toxic Orb
Ability: Regenerator/Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake/Protect
- Discharge/Stealth Rock
The AV version is something I've been using in TS AAA and it's quite effective as a switchin to the many special attackers of the tier, especially the electric types such as Raikou and Manectric. Volt Switch can help keep momentum in your favour while Regenerator/Poison Heal keeps it healthy enough to switch in more than once. It's defense of 170 is excellent, and it's special defense of 105 can prove useful when either invested or given Assault Vest. Stone Edge allows it to kill the flying types it can switch into, like Noivern.

Golem-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Nuzzle
- Accelerock
- Diamond Storm
I've also been using this version in STAAAB RU due to it's potency against electric and flying types and access to Accelerock/Nuzzle allowing it to cripple switchins or revenge kill easier. Due to the lack of Tier Shift boosts it's more vital to have defensive investment, but it still has no trouble in killing the flying and electric types it's meant to switch into. In both metas it is arguably the best Noivern counter, quad resisting Aerilate Boomburst and taking negligible damage from Draco Meteor when equipped with Assault Vest while not caring about Trick as much as some other switchins might. It notably resists Heat Wave, coverage that specs Noivern often runs that could wear on other counters such as Magearna in TS AAA, while having better damage output than STAAAB RU switchins like Registeel.

Thank you to everyone who participated. The tour code should be updated shortly.

Two things.

1) An AAA Ubers team

R2 of the Tours Plaza Classic was one of our official mashups - AAA Ubers. I'd like to share the team I used to advance into R3.

I recall Psyspam (which Icemaster used to win the whole thing) being pretty popular in the Anniversary tour, but there was sadly no love for electric terrain. I decided to fix that, so I built an electric terrain team. I had built some other teams as well, but this was the one that seemed to work best. Pokepaste link.

Tapu Koko @ Terrain Extender
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt
- Roost

Zekrom @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Surge Surfer
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Outrage
- Bolt Strike
- Roost

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Skill Swap
- Wish
- Iron Head

Mewtwo @ Mewtwonite Y
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 208 HP / 48 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Thunder
- Psystrike

Yveltal @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- U-turn
- Roost
- Foul Play
- Defog

look familiar? (Groudon) @ Electric Seed
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Precipice Blades
- Fire Blast
- Thunder Punch

The only reason why I thought this archetype might even be worthwhile is the fact that Primal Groudon is pretty much the only usable Ground type in AAA U and it isn't even that good according to the anniversary tour's usage stats. Coupled with the fact that the major threats are Psyspam and Xerneas, I wasn't expecting people to bring Volt Absorb mons. Given all of that, Zekrom's Terrain boosted Bolt Strike after a Hone Claws boost has the potential to rip teams apart, with Intimidate Buzzwole being the only thing that could prevent a 2hko while not dying to Z Outrage.

Psyspam can obvously prevent Zeke from sweeping, since it changes terrain, but that's where Unburden Don shines, as it doesnt care about Terrain being up as long as it got its unburden boost off. Rachi and Yveltal also help.
The reason they're unaware is since i thought my sweepers would outspeed most unboosted offensive mons anyway, unaware would be a good crutch in case I misplayed and let something setup out of range of my sweepers (Timid Xerneas for example).

Mewtwo is a stallbreaker, EVd to be able to easily recover off Seismic Tosses from Chansey/Blissey, bouncing back Status or Rocks and threatening to CM so Psystrike can break them. Thunder is to hit Yveltal. It does invite AV Alolan Muk in, but you can double into Don and setup on it if that happens, since u dont need the terrain boost against stall anyway.

Koko is (sadly) probably the best terrain setter. It's fast, has taunt to cripple Moldy leads like Smeargle, Roost for longevity, access to Uturn for momentum and can abuse it's own terrain. Great mon.

Sadly, I don't have many replays (apart from this one) but I had decent results in testing, managing to beat stall, psyspam and balance. Also, thanks to everyone from the mashups room who helped me test and gave me advice.

2) TS AAA

Now that the Wak/Club suspect is over, some of us in the mashups room were talking about the possibility of Damp Rock getting unbanned. Rain sweepers can be terrifying, so a straight unban might be a bad idea, but there is always the possibility of running a reverse suspect test - like the ones RU did with various RUBL mons that lead to Mega Sceptile getting unbanned. With 2 weeks left as spotlight, this would probably be doable if the mods agree. Something to consider.

I updated the Tier Shift AAA tour code, but I'll just repost it here in case it has fallen too far behind.

Code:
/tour new gen7almostanyability, elimination, 32,1
/tour autostart 10
/tour rules gen7tiershift, -Thick Club
/tour name [Gen 7] Tier Shift AAA

Although the meta is settling after the Thick Club ban, The Number Man mentioned interest in unbanning Damp Rock, and it may seem anomalous to have this item remain banned in an AAA-based mashup. In standard, rain has an inherent advantage over sun in that Swift Swim users typically are water types that can benefit from the effects of increased speed and weather-boosted STAB attacks simultaneously, whereas native Chlorophyll access is generally limited to grass types that can't achieve this. With AAA this distinction disappears, as Fire types can also use Chlorophyll to boost speed and offense simultaneously, yet Heat Rock is unbanned in TS and doesn't seem to be unhealthy so far in TS AAA. Another point of comparison is that Electric is free to use Terrain Extender + Surge Surfer to similar effect. Finally, AAA also gives access to primal weather abilities to disrupt opposing persistent weather setters.

Another thing that might appear concerning in TS AAA is Absol, replacing Marowak as the premier offensive Pokemon with very high usage rate so far, and being difficult to switch into between its extremely strong STAB Knock Off and Play Rough.

Please offer any opinions on these or anything else you think should be investigated in TS AAA while it has spotlight.

Big post about TS AAA incoming. First, some sets:
Floatzel @ Choice Band/Life Orb
Ability: Primordial Sea/Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Tail/Liquidation
- Aqua Jet/Bulk Up
- Ice Punch
- Crunch/Switcheroo/Low Kick
With a blazing 155 speed, Floatzel is faster than pretty much everything but Aerodactyl and can hit quite hard with it's 145 attack as well. Aqua Jet allows it to pick off the few things that do outspeed it or that have priority/boosts. Switcheroo can be used on banded variants to cripple would-be walls whereas Bulk Up is it's best option for setting up.

Whiscash @ Groundium Z/Flyinium Z
Ability: Sap Sipper/Magic Bounce
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge/Bounce
Whiscash is probably the only Dragon Dance user below RU that could make a splash. It's nice bulk and Water/Ground typing let it get a dance or two off with ease while Sap Sipper lets it do this in front of grass types. Magic Bounce is an alterrnative ability to prevent it from being poisoned and give it better setup opportunities against stuff like Regirock, while Z-Bounce should let this set also beat grass types hoping to stop it.

Golisopod @ Life Orb/Choice Band
Ability: Primordial Sea/Triage
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance/Bulk Up
- Leech Life
- Liquidation
- Aqua Jet/Sucker Punch
How the hell have I not seen a single Golisopod in the past couple of weeks? It's usually very popular in OMs and mashups but seems to be going overlooked here.

Now onto two different balance teams I've been having success with.
Manectric @ Choice Specs/Choice Scarf
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Flamethrower
- Switcheroo
Possibly the best non Fire user of Desolate Land. Can run Scarf if you need to beat Dodrio or Specs otherwise. Switcheroo is a huge bonus over Raikou, as well as it's superior speed and power.

Kommo-o (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Drain Punch
- Protect
- Dragon Tail
- Stealth Rock
This has invalidated whole teams by itself and is a potent rocker with a great set of resists.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Foul Play
- U-turn
- Roost
Mandibuzz is one of the better defensive mons in the tier with a great typing. Unaware helps with the popularity of setup sweepers.

Golem-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
I changed Discharge for Fire Punch since I never used it anyway.

Noivern @ Sky Plate
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Boomburst
- Roost
- U-turn
- Taunt
I tend to prefer this set to specs Noivern since it can stop resists like Regirock that switch in and try to set Stealth Rock. Roost also helps it stay healthy throughout the match and keep screaming teams to dust.

Tapu Fini @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Defog
- Moonblast
- Scald
A second defogger since this one isn't weak to rocks. Fairy typing is great and the ice resist is much appreciated by Kommo-o and Mandibuzz.
https://pokepast.es/09d3a227027e7e8b

Lanturn @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Discharge
- Scald
- Ice Beam
This is essentially Manaphy's AV set but better. Lanturn is exceptionally bulky and Volt Switch lets you bring something faster like Floatzel in to deal with whatever they try and use to break it.

Simisear @ Firium Z
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot
Simisear is the fastest Fire type with Nasty Plot which makes it a good Desolate Land user.

Torterra @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Roar
- Earthquake
Another Stealth Rock setter with a phazing move. Torterra has some huge bulk and can beat some opposing Poison Heal mons with Leech Seed.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Roost
- Defog
- Counter
I was going to run Celesteela but realised I didn't have any hazard control, so I went with Skarmory instead. Has the added bonus of Spikes, which is nice.

Floatzel @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bulk Up
- Liquidation
- Ice Punch
- Crunch
One of the fastest things available and decently powerful too.

Scyther @ Choice Band
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Quick Attack
- Return
- Brick Break
- U-turn
Scyther has great speed and power to function well with a banded U-turn set. Ninjask is a good alternative and is much faster, however it doesn't have Quick Attack which is why I've gone with Scyther instead.
https://pokepast.es/3c3d52236b6ef539

Lastly, Damp Rock and Rain has some very strong abusers but I am uncertain that they would be THAT much better than they are in other lower tier based mashups.

OMotM Mashups (August 2019)

It's that time again!

For Cross Evolution, although it's a very interesting OM, it seems limited in mashup potential. STABmons conflicts with the changes to movepools and doesn't work at all, while AAA and Camomons may seem to cheapen the concept of the meta. Tier Shift (as should be expected) gives stat boosts based on the base (NFE) Pokemon and therefore gives nearly everything other than Gligar (UU) and Ubers the maximum boost, but many people still wanted to run it anyway:-

Code:

Maybe Inverse or Monotype will actually be the most interesting options for CE mashups?

Linked should mash up well with many metas. Here are some examples to get started with (not tested):-

One set for TS AAA:

Stats: 82 HP / 141 Atk / 139 Def / 89 SpA / 79 SpD / 91 Spe
Tyrantrum @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake

Magic Guard works pretty well with Focus Sash to always survive one hit and retaliate with a strong Head Smash. Aggron is alternative to this but, I chose Tyrantrum because... RAWR!!

Anyways, I am still going to make some resources to other Official Mashups like the ones I made from STABmon Uber, and my next destination is going to be STABmons LC, which would include both Role Compedium and Setpedia. I am still going to finished some "WIP" sets from STABmon Uber Setpedia so, don't worry. The Role Compedium is going to be posted after someone else post something in this thread to avoid double posting.

Hey, I got really interested in TSAAA as they are my two favorite OMs, so I decided to create a little hazard stacking HO (my favorite team style) team of my own. My team has a fun little gimmick in which I try to have every member of my team from one specific tier (OU, UU, RU, NU, PU, and Untiered). Sadly my teambuilding tends to be a little rusty, so I am looking for feedback on my team to improve it.

Crustle @ Focus Sash

Here's a set that should be just gone
Zeraora @ Magnet / Fightinium Z / Terrain Extended
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Return
- Close Combat
- Volt Switch / Knock Off
Its already hard enough to deal in normal Linked - Plasma Fists turns Return into an electric move (if it hits), allowing for insane damage. Combine that with your own Electric Terrain and Zeraora is busted. Maybe its easier to wall, as Volt Absorb and PHeal/Regenerator Grounds exist, but its really good. Too bad it can switch out and support another electric sweeper, like Manectric-Mega or Can also run Teravolt or Adaptability.
Magic Guard works pretty well with Focus Sash to always survive one hit and retaliate with a strong Head Smash. Aggron is alternative to this but, I chose Tyrantrum because... RAWR!!

I'm going to make one (most likely) last post about TS AAA while it's still spotlight.

Up until the Thick Club ban, the meta was very offense heavy, with Marowak based weather/terrain teams abusing speed boosting abilities to let it mow through offensive and defensive teams alike. I really don't think anything comes close to matching it's power, which is why I've been using more balanced teams ever since the ban.

First up is my version of Double Poison Heal balance. Pokepaste link

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Switcheroo

The team is built around the double PHeal defensive core of Poliwrath and Rhyperior. Poison Heal has been a very popular ability in TS AAA and for good reason. With the TS boosts, some mons can get ridiculously bulky, but are held back by their lack of reliable recovery. PHeal fixes that very nicely, along with rendering them immune to Toxic, a popular way of dealing with stubbornly bulky fatmons. In general, I find that Regirock is better than Rhyperior, although in this case my team needed an electric immunity so I decided to go with Rhyperior. It's set is very simple so I wont go into detail.
Poliwrath on the other hand, is interesting. I have not seen anyone use it, which is a shame since it's a slightly less bulky Throh with the added advantage of a Water typing, one of the best defensive types in the game. Bulk Up + Circle throw also rewards good prediction, as it forces your opponent to predict whether you are going to boost or phase, sometimes giving you free setup and letting you get chip damage on a lot of opposing mons.

The core lacks a blanket check to setup sweepers, which is where Aromatisse comes in. Unaware blanks most setup mons barring things like Klinklang (which Poliwrath should theoretically be able to beat) and poison types, which almost nobody uses. Calm Mind lets you actually threaten those things out instead of just standing there spamming WIsh + Protect.

Noivern does Noivern things. I'm running Defog over Uturn on this set since I have no other options for hazard control. It also serves as a check to Grass types, which force both my Phealers out.

Steelworker Metagross is an extremely powerful breaker, 2hkoing most defensive mons if they dont resist Meteor Mash. It also comes in easily on fairy types that Noivern or Poliwrath would invite in.

Last there Manectric, which is scarfed in order to outspeed Dodrio, which is a terrifying breaker in the TS AAA metagame and which can dismantle this team otherwise.

Second, a gimmicky team I made due to the popularity of PHeal defensive cores. Pokepaste

Passimian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Merciless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Close Combat

Haunter @ Spooky Plate

- Dazzling Gleam

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Roost
- Revelation Dance
- Hurricane

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Registeel @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature

- Seismic Toss

Silvally @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- U-turn
- Poison Fang
- Facade
- Ice Beam

I'm not even sure if this team counts as balance, might even be semistall, but that's not important. This team is built around enabling lategame sweeps from Haunter and Passimian, both running Merciless to crit through opposing poisoned mons and ignore any defense boosts that are usually seen on Phealers.

Cofag is role compression. It's a tspiker that can also burn some key physical attackers to take them out of the game, while also running unaware to check setup sweepers. This used to be Garbodor, but i find Cofag to be much better.
Regi is doing standard Regi things, with FF being very good at generating momentum, especially if you switch it in on a resisted move and it lures in a Firetype - netting multiple turns of free Toxics/Rocks.
Oricorio prevents hazards and switches in on passive mons. RevDance can be replaced with CM to make stallbreaking easier.
Silvally is one of the few mons that get both Uturn and Poison Fang, giving this team a much needed slow pivot that can also spread Poison around the enemy team.

This team can struggle vs Steel types that are not weak to Close Combat, such as Magearna and Skarmory, which is why Regi was initially Corrosion; but i feel like Flash Fire is very necessary to insulate the team vs Desoland Firetypes.

I think TS AAA is the best place for a team featuring Merciless sweepers, as the Haunter line are the only mons that get STAB on both Hex and Venoshock. Since the TS boosts let haunter pass 400 speed (Gengar in reg AAA reaches 350), it outspeeds a lot of mons even without a scarf. When both of your STABS have types they are completely ineffective against, being able to switch moves is invaluable in setting up lategame sweeps.

Another thing that is not TS AAA related but about spotlights in general.

It seems that for the second half of TS AAA being spotlight, spotlight tournament turnout has been pretty low. Now, that could also be due to the fact that we've been experiencing a tournament "drought" (#freedamprock), which could have made users less inclined to even log onto PS, but it could also be due to the fact that people get bored of playing the same meta everyday.

I recall reading that spotlights were lengthened to 1 month to let us run more suspects and similar things, but ever since the Club ban, nothing of the sort has been achieved with TS AAA. Perhaps it's time to revisit the idea of 2 week spotlights? Or at least take the idea of multiple suspects more seriously, as a suspect test may inspire greater tour participation even if doesn't ban/unban anything in the end.

Something to think about.

Q&A List
Why is Glare included in Munchlax's set?
In a offensive meta of Little Cup, Speed is the most important factor. This is where Glare comes quite in handy, and Munchlax can abuse this with its good switch-in opportunity to spread it, considering the move's perfect accuracy. Some bulky pokemon such as Ferroseed, Slowpoke and Chinchou also run a paralysis moves like Thunder Wave as their main status of choice.

Why is Leech Seed and Gyro Ball not included on Ferroseed's set?
Leech Seed is not that great in Little Cup primarily due to low HP stat of the pokemon at Level 5. It only heals mostly 2-3 HP stats, which is not enough when Ferroseed takes like 4-7 HP from resisted hits.

In case of Gyro Ball, it can hit at maximum BP at higher level/tier.
min speed Ferro vs Base 50 Speed
0 Atk Ferroseed Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Snorunt: 324-384 (134.4 - 159.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
But at Level 5
0 Atk Ferroseed Gyro Ball (55 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Snorunt: 14-18 (66.6 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
this is not the case on Little Cup, as there is only a little difference in Speed.
0 Atk Ferroseed Gyro Ball (100 BP) vs. 36 HP / 0 Def Diglett: 13-16 (72.2 - 88.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Even using it against the fastest unboosted pokemon, it doesn't reach its maximum Base Power. In addition, it also doesn't hit anything for super-effective damage. This is why Bullet Seed is often preferred as a STAB of choice for its ability to hit Abra through Substitute, OHKOing Onix and Tirtouga through Sturdy and dealing good amount of damage against bulky neutral targets despite its middling offensive stats.

Edit List:
Edit 1: Added Abra, Anorith, Carvanha, Dewpider, Foongus, Magnemite, Pancham, Pawniard, Pumpkaboo-XL and Spritzee on Setpedia. Added Cottonee, Cranidos, Doduo, Eevee, Elekid, Honedge, Larvesta, Mienfoo, Natu and Zigzagoon on "WIP"

I feel like we should look or suspect at Shadow Tag in Camomons Uber, i think it is somewhat problematic than in standard Uber.
Here's my reasoning:

/
or
/

Gothitelle @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 244 HP / 108 Def / 156 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Charm
- Confide / Taunt
- Taunt / Confide
- Rest

Gothitelle is blessed with the type changing from Camomon mechanics as it is able to get rid of its otherwise horrible defensive typing and turned into somewhat decent one. What makes Gothitelle more problematic is its very little defensive counterplay. Back in standard Uber, some defensive team have their pokemon run Dragon Tail over other phazing moves like Whirlwind, Lugia is a prime example or pack a Pursuit Trapper to trapped Gothitelle. However, in here, Gothitelle is now immune to Dragon Tail and resist Pursuit thanks to getting a Fairy Typing from Charm, so those are now out of option. Then again, offensive teams have nearly 0 issues against Gothitelle, because they can easily overwhelmed it and still is match-up reliant. It is rather hard for defensive teams to deal with it, due to again, limited counterplay. Most defensive Poison-Types often run Toxic to get its Typing, so they are not safe and can't threatened Gothitelle. Defensive Steel-Type have some decent match-up against it due to them running Iron Head or Flash Cannon, though its more effective on using the former due to good flinch chance to prevent Goth from doing its job. Ghost-Type are completely immune to being trapped.

or any offensive typing you want
Gengar-Mega @ Gengarite
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball / coverage
- Dazzling Gleam / coverage
- Taunt / coverage
- Destiny Bond / coverage

Mega Gengar is a lesser issue than Gothitelle, but it has a niche that it can trap specific typing depending on what Type it chose. For instance, Mega Gengar can run Electric / Grass type to trap and eliminate Water-Types, Steel/Flying pokemon or any pokemon weak to its moves for pokemon like Fire / Normal Rayquaza, Steel / Ground Necrozma-Dusk-Mane, etc. Though, Mgar is still frail and needs to Mega Evolve to gain Shadow Tag.

Anyways, here's some other sets:

/

Latias-Mega (F) @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Toxic
- Recover / Healing Wish
- Defog
You may wondering why Latias-Mega was mentioned for being unbanned above. Its because Mega-Latias has been recently banned from Camomons, hence will also affect Camomon-base mashups such as CAAAmomons.

/

Arceus @ Shed Shell / Leftovers
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Liquidation
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Defog / Toxic / Will-O-Wisp

One of defensive Arceus formes, the Speed investment is to outspeed Mega-Lucario just like majority of defensive Arceus formes since Gen6 Uber, it will still run Speed investment if Mluke is not an issue like 56 Speed and Timid to outspeed 95s like Rayquaza and Kyurem-Black, just like in Gen5 if you look at the analysis of certain Arceus-Forme. And that's because Arceus is not very slow as a wall.

/

Necrozma-Dusk-Mane @ Solganium Z / Weakness Policy
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sunsteel Strike
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish

Necrozma-Dusk-Mane would still be good as a sweeper, but it is quite slow without a Rock Polish boost. It is still get fairly walled by pokemon that can resist its typing, primarily bulky Water-Types. It also hurts that Necrozma most of the time, it has no room for additional coverage.

Anyways, another announcement:

Both Aerodactyl and Mega Pidgeot have been quickbanned in STABmons, and this will affect STABmon-based mashup that isn't STABmon Ubers.
Not sure if this will affect STAAABmons but, feel free to discuss whether to ban or keep it.
