Hello friends! After intense battling across six opens, we are left with the top eight competitors as we begin the final rounds of Other Metagames' eighth Grand Slam! The top eight will duke it out in a best of five series of Almost Any Ability, Balanced Hackmons, Godly Gift, Mix and Mega, NFE, and STABmons. The higher seed chooses which metagame is played first and the remaining games will use the standard "loser picks next" deciding order.

Tournament Rules:
  • This is a best-of-five single elimination tournament in the following SV formats: Almost Any Ability, Balanced Hackmons, Godly Gift, Mix and Mega, NFE, STABmons.
  • Higher seed chooses first game, loser picks next.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown. Replays are required.
  • General tournament rules and regulations apply.

[1] Quantum Tesseract (AAA BH MnM STAB) vs lepton (NFE) [8] (idk for GG) - I think QT is more consistent than lepton and is at a higher level in BH & MnM where they have shone for years while lepton didn't, i do think lepton has a chance to upset by winning AAA + GG + NFE but overall it seems like it's in QT's favor
[2] abriel (BH MnM NFE) vs Fc (GG STAB) [7] (AAA) - Pretty stack ngl, Fc is very good at every tier they play and abriel has been consistently doing well in every OM tournament since one or two years so honestly every tier could go either way but i'm going to give the edge to abriel because they probably know the tiers better than Fc except for like AAA / STAB / GG maybe
[3] Greybaum (AAA GG MnM NFE STAB) vs TTTech (BH) [6] - I think BH is 100% for TTTech but like all the others are looking to be in Greybaum's favor, especially NFE, i believe in a upset from TTTech tho but looks complicated
[4] SpaceSpeakers vs blinkboy [5] - idk both

Some predicts for fun don't take it personally, i'm expecting some heat matches

Time for some predicts:

Lepton vs blinkboy - I'm gonna go out on a limb and say blinkboy is gonna win in a very convincing 3-0. I don't know. Something in the air just tells me that this might happen. I'm open to being wrong though

Fc vs TTTech - I'll brb. I have to go return some video tapes. I'll finish this one when I get back. EDIT: I think FC will win this via random Freeze. Call it a hunch

My predicts:

FC vs blinkboy - I didn't think Blinkboy would make it to the finals, but he proved us wrong and even beat Lepton in a convincing 3-0. Even tho FC is a very consistent and experienced player, I will go with Blinkboy here.

Also tell us pls when you will !

since PandaDoux predicted against both, i cant predict whos gonna win this by looking at other people's predicts so ill say blink bcos:
1) blink seems like the underdog here
2) i hate Fur Coat and FC happens to be the starting letters of Fur Coat
