OST Round 2 Home Changes
As a reminder to all players that haven't completed their Round 2 series: Round 2 of OST uses the Pre-Home Metagame of SS OU. This round does NOT allow for the Pokemon Home metagame changes yet. The round started before Home's release and thus will be finished in the same format as it started with before Home came out. The Pokemon Home metagame will be in effect as of Round 3, so make sure to win this round if you want to bust out your Terrakion and Necrozma in Round 3. By extension, definitely do not use Kyurem-Black or Melmetal, as they are both post Home and also banned from OU.
The SmogTours PS! Server was updated to reflect Home changes yesterday, so be aware that playing on SmogTours is no longer a way to avoid legality issues. Apologies for the inconvenience, but you will have to manually check your teams. This thread's original post summarizes OU-relevant Home changes (credits and thanks to TPP).
Two points of clarification:
1) You should not use moves or abilities listed on this thread - for example, don't put Soft-Boiled on your Clefable.
2) The thread does not include changes for Pokemon that are not viable in OU, so be careful if you want to bring a Pokemon not listed.
If you want to be absolutely sure of your team's legality, PM Finchinator with a paste of your team and he will be able to verify. Rest assured that as a member of the Senior Staff, the privacy of your teams will not be compromised. Many thanks to Finchinator for offering this.
A player that brings a Home team for a Round 2 matchup loses that game (not series) by forfeit. If this happens to your opponent, be sure to save the replay and tag Luigi if and when you win the series.
