Offensive Pivot Cinderace [QC 2/2] [GP 1/1]

Offensive Pivot (Cinderace) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero

EVs: 148 HP / 128 Atk / 232 Spe

- U-turn
- Court Change
- High Jump Kick / Will-O-Wisp

[SET COMMENTS]
Cinderace's good offensive presence and utility options allow it to be a solid offensive pivot in the tier, with its power being able to force switches that it can benefit from with U-turn against checks like Alomomola to enable powerful attackers like Darkrai and Iron Valiant. Court Change gives Cinderace a good utility option to remove entry hazards off of the field, alongside Cinderace's power giving it good opportunities to remove hazards against Pokemon it forces out like Ferrothorn and Iron Crown. High Jump Kick allows Cinderace to OHKO Mega Tyranitar and Heatran while dealing good damage to Mega Diancie. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp lets Cinderace cripple Pokemon that try to switch into it, such as Great Tusk, Landorus-T, and Dragonite. The given EV spread allows Cinderace to outspeed unboosted Iron Valiant and 2HKO Galarian Slowking with Pyro Ball. Tera Fire boosts the power of Pyro Ball, allowing Cinderace to OHKO Pokemon such as offensive Volcarona and Tapu Lele. Cinderace is best suited to balance and offensive structures that appreciate having a fast pivot, potential revenge killer, and hazard removal. Frailer Pokemon like the aforementioned Darkrai and Iron Valiant, along with Serperior and Tapu Koko, can come in more safely thanks to Cinderace using U-turn against Pokemon like Alomomola, Toxapex, and Garchomp. These strong special attackers appreciate Cinderace breaking through Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar and Galarian Slowking, as they threaten physical walls like Landorus-T and Dondozo in exchange. Cinderace's ability to break through Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Heatran is appreciated by Fairy-, Psychic-, and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Mega Mawile, Tapu Lele, and Raging Bolt. However, Cinderace will often struggle to break through defensive Water-type Pokemon such as Alomomola, Toxapex, and the aforementioned Dondozo. Therefore, Electric-types such as Tapu Koko and Zapdos can take advantage of the defensive switches Cinderace forces while also forming a VoltTurn core with it; Tapu Koko can also threaten defensive Dragon-types such as Garchomp with Dazzling Gleam, as well as hitting other Ground-types for neutral damage. Cinderace also struggles against bulky Ground-types like Landorus-T and Gliscor, so teammates such as Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R, and Kyurem are appreciated to help break through them.

Cinderace's fantastic Speed, Attack and abillity in Libero allow it to be a solid offensive pivot in the tier, with its power being able to force switches which it can abuse with U-TurnU-turn to enable powerful attackers like Darkrai and Iron Valiant. High Jump Kick allows Cinderace to OHKO Mega Tyranitar and Heatran on the switch while dealing good damage to Mega Diancie. Sucker Punch lets Cinderace revenge-kill frailer Pokemon such as Iron Boulder or boosted Iron Crown, while Gunk Shot can help weaken Fairy-types such as Hatterene, Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele. Court Change gives Cinderace a good utility option to remove hazards off of the field, such as Stealth Rock or Sticky Webs, especially against suicide leads like Shuckle or Landorus-T (not lando cuz that's nothing but a free eq, not sure on other web users tho. Also you should explain that cind's power creates many chances for it to click cc). Tera Fire boosts the power of Pyro Ball, allowing Cinderace to OHKO Pokemon such as offensive Volcarona and Tapu Lele. Cinderace is best suited to balance and offensive structures that appreciate having a fast pivot and potential revenge-killer. Frailer Pokemon like the aforementioned Darkrai, Iron Valiant and Serperior can come in more safely thanks to U-TurnU-turn, with Cinderace breaking through specially defensive Pokemon like Corviknight, Galarian Slowking and Blissey, as they break through physically defensive Pokemon like Landorus-T and Dondozo (reword this sentence. it's kinda messy now). Cinderace's ability to break through Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor and Heatran is appreciated by Fairy-, Psychic- and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Mega Mawile, Tapu Lele and Raging Bolt. (also breaking mtar with hjk means a lot for stuff like rai and bolt) However, Cinderace will often struggle to break through defensive Water-type Pokemon such as Alomomola, Toxapex and the aforementioned Dondozo. Therefore, Electric-types such as Tapu Koko and Zapdos can take advantage of the defensive switch-ins Cinderace makes, while also forming a VoltTurn core with it; Tapu Koko can also threaten the defensive Dragon-types, such as Garchomp, with Dazzling Gleam (you can probably put this mention of chomp with other ground types). Cinderace also struggles against bulky Ground-types like Landorus-T and Gliscor, so Water- or Grass-type attackers such as Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R and Rillaboom are appreciated to help break through them. (not a big fan of rilla here, but ig it's okay and maybe put weavile/kyurem over one of the two waters here) Cinderace likes hazard support to whittle down its checks as it pivots out, so Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Landorus-T and Mega Diancie make good teammates. (You do need to bring hazards with cind, but for most of cases you can use your opponent's so i dont think this is of top priority here.)

Cinderace's fantastic Speed, Attack and Libero good offensive presence and utility options feel like u oversold its stats a bit, and libero doesnt rly contribute much to why it's good allow it to be a solid offensive pivot in the tier, with its power being able to force switches which it can abuse with U-turn to enable powerful attackers like Darkrai and Iron Valiant what does it uturn on that these 2 can take advantage of?. High Jump Kick allows Cinderace to OHKO Mega Tyranitar and Heatran on the switch while dealing good damage to Mega Diancie. Court Change gives Cinderace a good utility option to remove hazards off of the field, such as Stealth Rock or Sticky Webs, especially against suicide leads like Shuckle, alongside Cinderace's power giving it good oppurtunities to remove hazards against Pokemon like Ferrothorn or Iron Crown. Tera Fire boosts the power of Pyro Ball, allowing Cinderace to OHKO Pokemon such as offensive Volcarona and Tapu Lele. Cinderace is best suited to balance and offensive structures that appreciate having a fast pivot and potential revenge-killer id mention the removal here too. Frailer Pokemon like the aforementioned Darkrai and Iron Valiant, alongside Serperior and Tapu Koko can come in more safely thanks to U-turn on who?. These strong special attackers appreciate Cinderace breaking through specially defensive Pokemon like Corviknight Mega Tyranitar or Galarian Slowking, as they weaken threaten physical walls like Landorus-T and Dondozo in exchange. regarding the ev spread and moves, we elected to merge the offensive/bulky pivot sets into one since they are very similar. would like to look one more time before 2/2 but nice work overall

The given EV spread allows Cinderace to outspeed unboosted Iron Valiant, while 2HKOing Galarian Slowking with Pyro Ball.
