Vote only for one and it ends Monday.
+

Clefairy @ Eviolite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 8 Def / 248 SpD
Calm Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Knock Off
- Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover
- Whatever

ok so support clefairy is a sick set that chews p well ludicolo's hits and can twave back, while gastrodon takes care of kabutops and garbodor. they can both stop a rain team quite easily, and even better if paired with other pokemon.
+

Garbodor (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 248 HP / 200 Def / 60 Spe
Impish Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Toxic Spikes
- Spikes

Kangaskhan @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch

KangaSpikes has an incredibly strong matchup vs rain, especially if the rain team doesn't have a Garbodor. Garbo just lays up spikes while also being able to take on Liepard and Kabutops. Kangaskhan stalls rain turns, threatens all rain abusers especially in combination with Toxic Spikes. obviously this core doesn't immediately pressure all rain teams but if you add something like Ferroseed with this core you're all good to go.

Abomasnow @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Earthquake
- Focus Blast

Fighting weather with weather can be a solution to deal with Rain-teams. Scarf outspeeds all 4 wich is nice.

252 SpA Abomasnow Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Kabutops: 520-616 (199.2 - 236%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Abomasnow Blizzard vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ludicolo: 142-168 (47.1 - 55.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after hail damage
252 SpA Abomasnow Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mesprit: 136-162 (37.3 - 44.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after hail damage
252 SpA Abomasnow Blizzard vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Liepard: 246-291 (91.4 - 108.1%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
+

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 148 Def / 112 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Bullet Seed
- Leech Seed
- Protect

Garbodor @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Gunk Shot
- Seed Bomb

Classic hazard stacking core which just stops Rain in its tracks. Ferroseed walls pretty much all rain abusers bar Superpower Kabutops and can stall out Rain turns with Protect, + smash Omastar with Bullet Seed as it attempts to set up. Garbodor whittles away at Rain in general with TSpikes, putting everything on a timer, as well as taking Knock Off's from Liepard and Superpower from Kabutops.

Choice specs mantine does a fairly good job against rain, as it can outspeed both of the primary users with a + speed nature, as they generally run + offenses, and OHKOs both with respective coverage moves (though ludicolo isn't 100% guaranteed unless you come in after a round of LO recoil). While it is part of a subset of swift swim abusers that threaten rain teams, its one of the more efficient ones due to its ability to fairly easily come in against ludicolo, and easily threaten it out.

Mantine @ Choice Specs
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Air Slash
- Scald
- Signal Beam

252 SpA Choice Specs Mantine Air Slash vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ludicolo: 266-314 (88.3 - 104.3%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mantine Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Kabutops in Rain: 286-337 (109.5 - 129.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mantine Scald vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Liepard in Rain: 367-433 (110.5 - 130.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mantine Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mesprit in Rain: 280-330 (76.9 - 90.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

With a very close vote, quziel takes the win this week.

This week, I figured I would go ahead and analyze the commonly seen weather in NU: Sun.

The reason Sun can be so powerful is the fact that it has nearly everything it needs just by mons alone. A "fast" setter in Liepard, a "bulky" setter (with SR mind you) in Regirock, and powerful threats that are normally slow such as Victreebel and Exeggutor. It also has some versatility with Charizard, who can boost its SpA by 1.5 under the sun, making it a very powerful wallbreaker that allows the former Grass-types to just clean up with ease.

Submissions end on Friday.

Altaria @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 4 SpA / 148 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Flamethrower
- Toxic
- Haze

Altaria does a decent job at taking hits from Sunteams. The spread lets it take a Psyshock from Eggy and a Sun and Solar Power boosted Fire Blast from Zard. Flamethrower lets it deal decent damage against the Chlorophyll sweepers and gets boosted by the sun aswell. Natural Cure is also nice to get rid of sleep status from a potential Sleep Powder. Toxic to stall out Zard and other stuff.

252 SpA Life Orb Exeggutor Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 104 Def Altaria: 161-191 (45.4 - 53.9%) -- 46.1% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Solar Power Charizard Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 168+ SpD Altaria in Sun: 133-157 (37.5 - 44.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Victreebel Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 168+ SpD Altaria: 133-156 (37.5 - 44%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Jynx @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Trick / Lovely Kiss

So sun is really hard to threaten offensively with just one mon but Scarfed Jynx outspeeds Victreebel and lower even in sun so that's pretty good. Ice Beam is solid OHKO on Exeggutor and Victreebel (you can take a hit from Lilligant too and OHKO it as well) and kills Zard after Rocks. Focus Blast OHKOes Liepard and you can kill with Ice Beam too, you just need Rocks damage. Jynx can't do anything to Regirock without risking dying to a Stone Edge other than cripple it by Trick or Sleep but honestly you shouldn't be using Jynx on a team without something that can beat Rock-types. It's actually really nice that Jynx can threaten sweepers under sun which a lot of other threats to sun like Archeops can't do. Overall just spam Ice Beam + Rocks and it's game.
e:
252 SpA Jynx Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Victreebel: 360-426 (119.6 - 141.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Jynx Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Exeggutor: 380-450 (114.8 - 135.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Jynx Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Charizard: 154-183 (51.8 - 61.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Jynx Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Liepard: 234-276 (86.9 - 102.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

e2: You can run Oblivious / Forewarn if you're using Jynx as your sun check and especially your Lilligant check because Dry Skin hurts

Scyther @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Aerial Ace
- Knock Off
- Bug Bite

This guy is a really, really great safety net against any weather teams but especially sun (particularly teams with Liepard for a setter), because it outspeeds and threatens the OHKO on every Chlorophyll sweeper and obviously just U-turns to take care of Liepard as well. The 4x Grass resistance can be really helpful in a pinch as well, potentially when playing around these sweepers to get Scyther in for relatively free against them. If you look at this sun team from the samples, you'll see it's absurdly weak to this set (through no fault of the builder, of course :x); even Zard, another staple on these teams, tends to put itself in range of Aerial Ace due to the residual damage from Solar Power, so it's easy to see why Scarf Scyther can be such an effective cleaner against this archetype.

With all but one vote, Threw nabs the win this week.

This week, I went with a core that Eternally came to me with and that he has been using to success.

Gurdurr @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Atk / 64 Def / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off

Swellow @ Choice Specs
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Boomburst
- Heat Wave
- U-turn
- Sleep Talk

Basically Gurdurr helps wear down Steel- and Rock-types for Swellow to clean up late-game while Swellow can pivot out of special walls into Gurdurr.

Submissions end on Friday.

Musharna @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Moonlight
- Signal Beam
Musharna can set up on both mons and really not care about what the other mons do. Colbur helps musharna check gurdurr better and boomburst fails to 2hko even if musharna doesnt has any boost.

Audino-Mega @ Audinite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Calm Mind
- Dazzling Gleam

Audino sets up in their faces and just wins tbh. Gurdurr can't touch it at all. Swellows Boomburst doesn't do enough damage. Dazzling Gleam 2HKOs both after +1
