Good evening ladies and gents! Tonight will be my first attempt at being a referee, so this shall be interesting! On my left, we have an established veteran of BBP who is bringing a Kirlia in hopes of achieving victory. On my right, we have an up and coming star who hopes to pull off a victory with a Phantump! Our veteran is at a type disadvantage, but will that be enough to take our veteran out and give the newbie a victory, or will the veteran pull of an upset? Let's find out!

In a desperate attempt to survive, Kirlia performs a combo right out of the Pokéball! She summons magical leaves around her, then sets them ablaze and launches them at Phantump! Despite being burned, Phantump refuses to quit and launches a ball of shadows at Kirlia! While Kirlia recovers from using a combination, Phantump is hurt by his burns and gathers light around him. Bam! Kirlia takes a moderate blow. However, Kirlia knows revenge is a dish best served cold, as she disables Shadow Ball! Phantump tries to launch a second blob of shadows at Kirlia, but his powers are gone! Oh no!

Kirlia begins the round by attacking Phantump with the power of her voice. Annoyed, Phantump decides to badly poison Kirlia! This backfires however, as Synchronize activates, badly poisoning Phantump as well. As Phantump is absorbing light, Kirlia works to make clones of herself and hopes she can avoid being hit. Phantump shoots a beam of light, and what's this? He hit a clone! As the clone dissipates, Kirlia once again uses her voice to attack. Furious, Phantump jumps up and down several times, causing a bulldoze! This catches Kirlia off guard and lowers her speed. Finally, Natural Cure frees Phantump from his burns. This battle is going down to the wire! Who shall prevail?

As the round begins, Willow the Phantump is asborbing light. However, Kirlia has other plans and puts Willow to sleep! Seizing the opportunity, Kirlia foresees an attack as Willow is snoozing! Groggy, Willow wakes up and finds he can launch blobs of shadow once more! After being hit, Kirlia gets so caught up in the battle that she attempts to foresee another attack, but comes out emptyhanded. Remember, you can only foresee one attack at a time, folks! On the bright side, Kirlia got her mojo back and shook off her speed decrease.
