New Pokebank Changes - Little Cup Edition!

Attention!

For future reference, please don't post egg moves and otherwise newly available things that came with Pokebank without some kind of concrete evidence to prove that what you're saying is actually the case. This makes the sharing of new information easier on everyone and the excitement it brings to people is not worth the disappointment that follows if you're wrong, nor is it worth the misinformation that spreads as the people you tell inform others. I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, rather everyone who posts now or in the future here for future reference. Google is not a reliable source, and other forum sites are not either. Be sure it comes from either an official research thread on Smogon after being confirmed onsite or from serebii or bulbapedia. Please be sure your information is accurate with a reliable source before claiming it as objective fact or giving off the potential impression to others that it is objective fact. ♥

Huge thanks to Goddess Briyella for bringing this to attention!

Well, we have this in both OU and Ubers, why not discuss them for LC Pokemon as well!
Notable Changes:

  • Misdreavus now learns Dazzling Gleam via TM 99
This gives Misdreavus flawless coverage with Shadow Ball - bar the incredibly uncommon Litleo.
  • Snorunt now gets Switcheroo via breeding with Cottonee
This gives Snorunt a niche as a quick scarf, as it has access to Spikes as well.
  • Tepig now learns Sucker Punch via breeding with Mawile/Smeargle
This finally gives Tepig some form of priority, allowing it to not be outsped by a majority of the tier.
  • Yamask now learns Toxic Spikes via breeding with Trubbish
This makes Yamask the only Pokemon in the tier who can set up hazards while spin blocking at the same time.
  • SmogonKoffing now learns Toxic Spikes via breeding with Yamask
This is great, as Koffing already had a great movepool, this just makes it even more expansive!
  • Cottonee now learns Dazzling Gleam via TM 99
Well, at least it got a Fairy STAB move!
  • Frillish now learns Dazzling Gleam via TM 99
See Misdreavus.

I'm really excited about Koffing and Yamask's Toxic Spikes buff. Prior to this, the only viable TSer was Tentacool. Plus Yamask was super outclassed by Missy.

Yea, it gets it from phantump (same egg group) I think it's on serebii and it hasn't been added to smogon's DB yet

Yea my mistake I was told it got it aand that it was on serebii, I've obviously been trolled, however I will attempt this IN GAME to see if it is true because I have a frillish and im currently leveling my trev so in due time my peeps..

Leech Seed Frillish doesn't make sense in the slightest...but Frillish DOES get Dazzling Gleam itself. Water and Ghost get good enough coverage by itself, but it could be useful for certain threats such as Scraggy or even Vullaby, which is cool.

Adding to the OP, do you have a set you'd like added?

I doubt it'd do THAT much to vulaby who will gracefully just Knock off its eviolite while u just gleam which wont OHKO cos Vul will still have its eviolite and scrag will just crunch it and scrag is P bulky but still outspeeds so I doubt taking 1 gleam will do much itd be better to just hit it with scald and pray u get the burn

76 SpA Frillish Dazzling Gleam vs. 196 HP / 76 SpD Eviolite Vullaby: 10-12 (38.4 - 46.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Most Vullaby are physically defensive, so it can do decent damage. Vullaby does outspeed Frillish though, I guess you can finish off a weakned one.

76 SpA Frillish Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 36 SpD Eviolite Scraggy: 20-24 (95.2 - 114.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

This is more like it, you can OHKO Scraggy if it wants to switch in on you.

76 SpA Frillish Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mienfoo: 16-20 (76.1 - 95.2%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Life Orb Mienfoo takes heavy damage too, although minefoo will most likely not switch into Frillish.

It can be a niche option, but Scald + Shadow Ball is usually better.

Yea you're right about the vullaby thing they are mostly always def but I guess if you were to try and run a specs frillish..? does frillish get surf at least? or is scald stronger than surf? because a specs set with Gleam Shadow ball Surf and prob HP grass (but iirc it gets energy ball) Would smack almost everything around that doesnt resist whatever choice it goes with, I don't honestly know if that would work just a thought tho a specs set would be fun to test drive lol

Specs Frillish is kinda underwhelming due to its sub-par speed. Outside of bulky sets, Trick Room and Choice Scarf sets are viable because Frillish has access to Water Spout, but these sets require a lot of team support.
