Tournament Rules:

• General tournament rules and regulations.
• 2023 National Dex Circuit information.
• Best of three, double elimination.
• This tournament will use the standard National Dex banlist, which can be found on Smogon's strategy dex.
• If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
• Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! or the SmogTours server
• SV cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
• National Dex-specific mechanics.
• Replays are recommended to prevent disputes but are not mandatory.

An error was made when generating the Round 1 bracket that resulted in an incorrect number of pairings and no substitute list. As such, some pairings that were not meant to be played were created, and games were played.

The fix initially applied was to remove all the incorrectly created pairings, regardless of whether or not they were played. The TD team has spent time finding an alternative solution, and regenerated the brackets to include all players from the initially posted Round 1.

All players who lost for Round 1 (by coinflip, activity loss, playing, forfeit, ect) will be in the Round 2 Losers Bracket, alongside 24 byes. All players who did not lose for Round 1 will advance to the Round 2 Winners Bracket, alongside 0 byes. Matchups for the Round 2 Winners Bracket that were posted in this thread and have already been played (by Nish the Great, Miyoko, Amstan, and their opponents) were manually preserved in the new Round 2 Winners Bracket, and they will not be required to play again.

The updated National Dex Summer Seasonal Round 2 thread will be posted separately. In addition, the bracketmaker has been adjusted to hopefully prevent this issue in the future.
