Welcome to the National Dex Spread Compendium! This purpose of this thread is to show creative, but no-less effective spreads outside of the typical standard ones with two maximum investment or those already found on the Smogon Dex from the community itself. Submissions can vary provided that the Pokemon is currently ranked on the official Viability Rankings.

Rules:
1.
Don't be an idiot. Always stay on topic.
2. Always include a well written description in your post.
3. When making a submission, please refrain from reserving spreads until you ensure that it's your own, if you worked on it with someone else make sure to tag them as well.
4. Do not submit a spread of just Max / 4 / Max which goes against this project.
5. Please be respectful towards others, feel free to add anything to submitted spreads or any questions regarding them.
6. Calcs aren't mandatory, but much appreciated to support your spread regardless.

With that said. Here's an example for you guys to follow.

corviknight.gif

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 232 HP / 108 Def / 168 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 29 Spe
- Body Press / Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost

The following spread aims to improve Corviknight's matchup as much as possible against Special Threats such as Kyurem and Tapu Lele so that it can help its team play around their Choiced Attacks if needed without losing effectiveness against the mons it's already known to check like Excadrill. The Defense EVs ensure that the bird isn't 2HKO'd by back-to-back Banded Knock Off's or OHKOed by +2 Triple Axel from Weavile after rocks. SD Bisharp has a 56.3% chance to kill you with +2 Glasses Knock Off however so some EVs can be moved in order to dodge that.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rocky Helmet / Leftovers / Flynium Z
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 148 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Toxic / Fly

148 SpD lets you live any one hit from +1 Volcarona and a Specs Boosted HP Ice from Koko. Speed outruns CB Tar and Bulky Heatran and the rest goes into Defense to better handle Garchomp and Kartana.

:diancie-mega: Diancie-Mega

:ferrothorn: Ferrothorn

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 220 SpD / 36 Spe
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Iron Head
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave

Speed EVs let you outspeed paralyzed standard CM Clef so you can eventually paraflinch it down with Iron Head + Twave, while still retaining the ability to check what it's supposed to check. Untransformed Ash-Gren does have a slight chance to 3HKO now, but this is like a very minuscule chance (less than 0.1% according to the damage calc) so not a big deal at all, especially since Ferro is typically paired with a Dark resist anyways.

EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Giga Drain / Power Whip
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earthquake / Sludge Bomb

Defense EVs let you take a +2 Continental Crush from full after SR from Garchomp while still checking stuff like Koko and Fini. Like Ferro, your Gren calcs do become a bit worse, but you're always pairing Tang with a Dark resist anyways.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]

The increased Defense allows you to survive +2 Rilla's Knock and avoid a 2HKO from Banded Urshifu's CC after Rocks. Rest goes in SpD to keep the ability to check Fairies and Gren. It also lives back-to-back Knock Offs from CB Kart at full which can be useful for taking it out in a pinch with HP Fire.

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 144 Def / 40 SpA / 76 SpD
Calm Nature
- Future Sight / Psychic
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam

The investment allows you to live EQs from Garchomp and Defensive Lando with the SpA allowing you to OHKO both with Beam after Rocks. You can also take a Banded Surging Strikes from Shifu after Rocks. Overall very situational but it can work on teams if your resist doesn't like switching into these mons very much throughout the course of a match.

Slowking @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 220 Def / 40 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Scald
- Future Sight / Toxic / Filler
- Slack Off
- Teleport

Haven't used Slowking in a long while (I don't think many of us have tbh), but back when it was more popular, this was a spread I used sometimes for compressing checks to stuff. the EV spread listed ensures that MMedi cannot 2HKO Slowking from full with HJK (TPunch Medi has kinda fallen out of favor, what with stuff like fat Lando and Mega Latias being more common meaning King can check it better nowadays) while also being a decent check to stuff like Mega Lopunny, Mega Lati twins (especially with Toxic), Mega Diancie and Heatran. Your matchup against Specs Tapu Lele does become worse since you're nearly guaranteed to be 2HKOED by Moonblast, but Slowking is usually paired with teammates like Corviknight and Amoonguss (only for Moonblast obviously) that help it pivot around Lele anyways so this isn't a huge setback, especially with Regenerator in the mix.

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 188 Def / 68 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Scald / Psyshock
- Slack Off
- Calm Mind / Teleport / Future Sight

68 Special Attack EVs ensure an OHKO on Mega Garchomp, and under Light Screen ensures the 2HKO. While still retaining the ability to check Mega Medicham, Mega Lopunny, and Landorus-T comfortably. If you manage to use Calm Mind, 44 Speed EVs are mandatory to outspeed Toxapex, but these 2 investments together really compromise Mega Slowbro's bulk.

68 SpA Slowbro-Mega Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Garchomp-Mega: 360-424 (100.8 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
68 SpA Slowbro-Mega Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Garchomp-Mega through Light Screen: 180-212 (50.4 - 59.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Pure Power Medicham-Mega Thunder Punch vs. 252 HP / 188+ Def Slowbro-Mega: 134-158 (34 - 40.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
68 SpA Slowbro-Mega Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Medicham-Mega: 130-154 (49.8 - 59%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO
+2 252+ Atk Landorus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 188+ Def Slowbro-Mega: 330-388 (83.7 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
68 SpA Slowbro-Mega Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Landorus-Therian: 412-488 (129.1 - 152.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 108 Def / 152 Spe
Impish Nature
- U-turn
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake

I enjoy using this lando spread. It allows me to outspeed normal landos using the smogon set, while also still allowing me eat hits but also outspeed pokemon that I may need gone.

Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 20 Atk / 252 SpD / 180 Spe
Careful Nature
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Icicle Spear
- Roost

Sub DD Kyurem is still a very niche set, but on the bulkier anti-steel or semi-stall teams that it can fit on, the spread here maximises its PP-Stalling potential, allowing it to even 1v1 stuff like Clef (by avoiding the 2HKO from uninvested Moonblast in this case) and minimize the chances of Sub being broken by stuff like GKing (116 SpA only does 26.6% Max with Sludge).

Speed outruns MLop at +1, Attack is filler but it improves Icicle Spear rolls vs stuff like Gren so yeah.

0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 56 HP / 236+ SpD Kyurem: 152-182 (37.5 - 44.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
116 SpA Slowking-Galar Sludge Bomb vs. 56 HP / 236+ SpD Kyurem: 93-109 (22.9 - 26.9%) -- 38.3% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 56 HP / 252+ SpD Kyurem: 171-202 (42.2 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Moltres-Galar | SS | Smogon Strategy Pokedex

Moltres-Galar @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Berserk
EVs: 56 HP / 48 Def / 156 SpA / 248 Spe
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fiery Wrath
- Hurricane
- Taunt

Still OHKOes SpD Pex at +2 and outruns Timid Tran, Def allows Goltres to tank +2 Rilla's Glide and MLop's CC after Rocks (latter is useful since if MLop can't Fake Out on the same turn you can potentially grab an extra kill on something else before it can get back in safely)

+2 156+ SpA Moltres-Galar Supersonic Skystrike (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 160+ SpD Toxapex: 304-358 (100 - 117.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 56 HP / 48 Def Moltres-Galar in Grassy Terrain: 213-251 (63.5 - 74.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Close Combat vs. 56 HP / 48 Def Moltres-Galar: 211-249 (62.9 - 74.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Kinda surprised this thread hasn't gotten much activity, but I do have two new submissions (I probably have more but can't remember them atm)

1. Mixed Victini (Blue Flare + Bolt Strike is lowkey the best attack combo on Tini rn)

:sm/Victini:

Victini @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 80 HP / 100 Atk / 48 SpA / 28 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Blue Flare
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn
- Encore

80 HP EVs and 28 SpD EVs ensure that Victini is not 2HKOed by any of Modest Specs Lele's attacks barring two max rolls from Psyshock.

100 Attack EVs mean that standard Tapu Fini is always 2HKOed by Bolt Strike from full while also doing the same to standard Toxapex after SR if Black Sludge has been removed.

48 SpA EVs guarenteed that fat Lando is pretty much always 2HKOed by Blue Flare after SR.

2. AV Melm

:ss/Melmetal:

Melmetal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 176 HP / 68 Atk / 252 SpD / 12 Spe
Careful Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch

Tankier approach to the rising star of AV Melm that sacrifices a bit of its firepower for better bulk against what you're supposed to check. 68 Attack EVs ensure that Clefable is always OHKOed by DIB while 12 Speed EVs outspeed uninvested Toxapex.

:tapu-lele: :choice-scarf:

Standard AV Melm (from what I've see in pokepastes):

252 SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 244 SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 182-216 (44.2 - 52.5%) -- 80.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

New AV Melm:

252 SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 176 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 166-196 (36.4 - 43%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

3A :kyurem:

Standard AV Melm:

252 SpA Kyurem Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 244 SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 136-162 (33 - 39.4%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO

New AV Melm:

252 SpA Kyurem Earth Power vs. 176 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 124-148 (27.2 - 32.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

:moltres-galar: (not as common, but still super threatening in the current meta)

Standard AV Melm:

+2 252+ SpA Moltres-Galar Fiery Wrath vs. 0 HP / 244 SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 186-220 (45.2 - 53.5%) -- 37.9% chance to 2HKO (90.2% with SR)

New AV Melm:

+2 252+ SpA Moltres-Galar Fiery Wrath vs. 176 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Melmetal: 169-199 (37.1 - 43.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (even a layer of Spikes doesn't change this)

You also answer Serp, Fini (if Misty Terrain is still up), and MDiancie a bit better while soft checking untransformed Ash-Gren and Mega Mawile as well.
