Dragon check - Latios or Latias.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- (Whatever)
- (Whatever)

Almost never switches into Mega Heracross due to Close Combat from it not only 2HKOing it, but also due to rarity of its use against Dragon-type teams, His sis with same EV spread can achieve the KO as well, but only after Heracross taking Stealth Rock damage or if Latias really chooses to run Psychic.
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 169-199 (56.5 - 66.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Latias: 153-180 (51.1 - 60.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Heracross: 304-359 (100.9 - 119.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Latias Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Heracross: 268-320 (89 - 106.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
You can always slash coverage options, for example, what are some of Heracross's partners weak to on Bug/Fighting (you'd probably be focusing more on Bug, but, you get tge gist). That would be much better than putting [whatever].

Mega Diancie pretty much just revenge kills Mega Heracross and OHKO it with a moonblast. Not much else to say here, but Mega Diancie can switch into a pin missile and rock blast once.

252 SpA Mega Diancie Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Heracross: 348-410 (115.6 - 136.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Posting these two together as they pretty much do the exact same thing.
Dark & Poison Counters.

Drapion @ Assault Vest
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Atk / 104 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit

- Poison Jab
- Earthquake

And:

Skuntank @ Assault Vest
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Atk / 76 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch

- Poison Jab
- Play Rough

IK it's a bit of a cop-out but they do the exact same thing. Safely switchin and Pursuit trap. These are the only 2 mons which resist Gengar's STABs which don't get bopped by Focus Miss. AV allows them to take Focus Miss quite well aswell. The spreads can be meddled around with, I'm bad at making spreads. It's up to the user which one they want. Here are the main differences:
  • Drapion has the utility of Knock whilst Skuntank has priority in Sucker.
  • Drapion can take physical hits significantly better than Skuntank, however, Tank is stronger by 13 points as it can afford to not invest as much into SpDef due to its high HP.
  • EQ V Play Rough. Just whichever coverage is better for your team.

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 104 SpD Assault Vest Drapion: 126-149 (36.7 - 43.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

156+ Atk Drapion Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 374-444 (143.2 - 170.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

156+ Atk Drapion Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 156-186 (59.7 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Assault Vest Skuntank: 152-179 (37 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

180+ Atk Skuntank Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 324-384 (124.1 - 147.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

180+ Atk Skuntank Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 164-194 (62.8 - 74.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Dragon counter.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Sludge Wave / Sludge Bomb
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Tail / Thunderbolt / Muddy Water

Our chubby watery dragon friend is capable of taking five Shadow Balls, four Sludge Waves or four Dazzling Gleams from Gengar, meaning even Stealth Rock cannot help the poltergeist much. Speaking of hazards, even with a full set of damaging hazards (rather uncommon scenario) Gengar can reach two-hit knockout only with a 1/3 chance.

Needless to say, Draco Meteor blasts the spooky ghost to oblivion.
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 79-95 (20.7 - 24.9%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 95-113 (24.9 - 29.6%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 107-127 (28 - 33.3%) -- 0% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 107-127 (28 - 33.3%) -- 33.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and 3 layers of Spikes

252+ SpA Goodra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 262-309 (101.1 - 119.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Goodra Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 171-202 (66 - 77.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Psychic / Normal Counter

Meloetta @ Assault Vest
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- U-turn

Takes any hit from Gengar and is able to OHKO back with Psyshock. If it's vs Ghost it can Shadow Ball pretty freely and if it's vs Poison with a Psychic immunity U-turn is an option to pivot into something that can handle the Psychic Immunity since typically Gengar won't stay in on AV Meloetta considering how useful it is in both the Psychic and Normal matchup.

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Meloetta: 109-130 (26.9 - 32.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

252+ SpA Meloetta Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 432-510 (166.7 - 196.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Meloetta Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 240-284 (92.6 - 109.6%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO (is an OHKO if Gengar has attacked once since the set is LO)

Steel Check

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Knock Off
- Bullet Punch

Standard bulky swords dance scizor. Gengar misses the 2HKO on this with shadow ball and focus blast, and scizor in return can use knock off, OHKOing it, or roost away the damage, with a bit of correct mind games on taunt. Bullet punch is also a 2HKO on gengar.

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 200 SpD Mega Scizor: 142-168 (41.3 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 200 SpD Mega Scizor: 140-166 (40.8 - 48.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
44 Atk Mega Scizor Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 310-366 (119.6 - 141.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
44 Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 144-171 (55.5 - 66%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Rock check.

Tyranitar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Flamethrower

The all-around check to special hits on most rock teams, Assault Vest T-tar takes anything Gengar dishes out except for a Focus Blast, assuming two hit, and either Ko's with Crunch or puts Gengar into Checkmate position with Pursuit if it's been weakened slightly. (Alongside this, nothing on most Poison or Ghost teams appreciates switching into T-tar's STABs)

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 120 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tyranitar in Sand: 224-265 (60.3 - 71.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. 120 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tyranitar in Sand: 73-88 (19.6 - 23.7%) -- possible 5HKO
136 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 372-440 (143.6 - 169.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
136 Atk Tyranitar Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 186-222 (71.8 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage

Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 108 SpD / 152 Spe
Calm Nature
- Flamethrower
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost
- Solar Beam / Defog

This set is ridiculously underrated. Gengar can't 2HKO. Uninvested Flamethrower OHKOs
That lets Charizard switch in on Gengar and Roost if it is at full and it can still check Gengar if SR are up.

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 248 HP / 108+ SpD Mega Charizard Y: 148-175 (41.2 - 48.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Mega Charizard Y Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar in Sun: 276-325 (106.5 - 125.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
