[MonoType] Sunny Day Fire Team

Torkoal @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Will-O-Wisp
- Overheat

Lets start with Torkoal. This is the lynch pin of the team in most matches. Used mostly for setting up sunny day it also provides some valuable support by setting stealth rocks, rapid spinning away enemy hazards and burning physically threatening mons with will-o-wisp. I'm slightly iffy on the EV spread and I may swap out the SpA for SpD or HP but the added special attack is useful for nuking things with overheat in a pinch.

Chi-Yu @ Choice Specs
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Psychic
- Flamethrower
- Taunt

Kills ghosts dead. Also nukes psychic types but those are far less prevalent (in fact I've yet to see a dedicated psychic team). Taunt provides some good utility by giving me openings for switch ins and set ups.

Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Psychic
- Quiver Dance

Another offensive mon. Quiver Dance Volcarona is still really good. Can hit most things in the meta game at least neutrally. Psychic gives me some additional coverage but could honestly be swapped out for something else. Not sure what though. Open to suggestions.

Ceruledge @ Choice Band
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Claw
- Poison Jab
- Iron Head

Bitter Blade goes brrr. No really that's that this pokemon's primary purpose. Beyond that it provides some nice additional type coverage with its other moves. It's also one of the few strong physical attackers on this team which makes it ideal for cutting through specially defensive pokemon.

Rotom-Heat @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Discharge
- Shadow Ball
- Volt Switch
- Overheat

Levitate is useful for snuffing ground types. Discharge nukes fliers and water types. Shadow Ball gives me just that little bit of extra coverage against ghost pokemon. Good all around pokemon that can hit most things at least neutrally and can safely switch in against ground attacks.

Scovillain @ Choice Specs
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA
Bold Nature
- Flamethrower
- Solar Beam
- Leech Seed
- Energy Ball

With it's chlorophyll ability it out speeds just about everything in the meta game and solar beam + sunny day is still devastating. Can and will single handedly sweep water and ground teams.

Hi, welcome to monotype :blobnom:

For starters, there currently isnt a set (agreed on) on whats best for fire teams right now, so the following suggestions are only based on what I know based on the certain number of games I tried Fire with. Its a nice anti-meta type rn, as its decent enough to deal with Fairy and Ghost, and doesnt have a shabby matchup with Dark. Anyway, looking at your team you kinda lack a scarfer and priority, which means that Quaquaval can be an issue, especially after a Moxie boost. Furthermore, there's not much ways to deal with mons such as Chi-Yu and Roaring Moon, which can be problematic if they come in D:

:torkoal:
Torkoal @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Will-O-Wisp / Yawn
- Body Press / Lava Plume
I think you need maximum bulk on Torkoal, as this enables your sweeper, Scovillain, and dampens Water attacks for the rest of the team. Body Press was chosen to punish Chi-Yu and Roaring Moon better, but one can use Lava Plume + Yawn to fish for burns instead.

:chi-yu:
Nothing much to be said here, but Overheat or Fire Blast may be better than taunt to just roast the opposition so Scovillain can sweep. You can choose to use a Choice Scarf (it gives Ghost a very uncomfy time), but Specs is alright too, as it punches holes for a scovillain sweep

:volcarona: -> :iron-moth:
Volcarona isnt a bad choice, as it provides Bug Buzz to also punish roaring moon, but consider Iron Moth too, as it provides a very useful coverage in dazzling gleam and better coverage in general. Scarf Iron Moth is also faster than threats such as Choice Scarf Iron Treads, a great threat to Fire teams
Iron Moth @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave
- Energy Ball
Iron Moth @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Agility

:ceruledge:
Ceruledge @ Colbur Berry / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Sneak
Swords Dance Ceruledge is just better than the Choice Band set, due to its not bad bulk + sweep potential with Weak Armor. Shadow Sneak lets you pick off Ghosts late-game too.

If desired, a bulkier spread such as 56 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def / 12 SpD / 180 Spe with a Adamant Nature allows it to take a Dark Pulse from Choice Specs Chi-Yu and a Supreme Overlord-Boosted Sucker Punch from Kingambit, and OHKO back with Close Combat. 180 Speed lets it get the jump on Choice Scarf Garchomp and lower after a weak armor boost, while an Adamant nature lets you OHKO Flutter mane with Shadow Sneak, after Stealth Rock damage.
252 SpA Choice Specs Chi-Yu Dark Pulse vs. 56 HP / 12 SpD Colbur Berry Ceruledge: 249-294 (81.6 - 96.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Adjusted to have beads of ruin)
252+ Atk Ceruledge Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Flutter Mane: 228-270 (90.8 - 107.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

:rotom-heat: -> :talonflame:
Rotom-Heat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge
- Thunder Wave / Will-o-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
Rotom-Heat @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
Imo, I'm not feeling Rotom-H at all, due to the lack of Defog and Recovery (rip Pain Split). But if you still want to use him I highly recommend using Heavy-Duty Boots instead, as this has to come in multiple times in a match to take those Earthquakes. Alternatively, if you dont have a choice scarf user yet (eg. keeping Volcarona), it can be a nice Scarf user as its able to outspeed Quaquaval after an Aqua Step and Choice Specs Iron Bundle. I'd suggest using Talonflame if you want to have a Ground immune, as it has recovery, defog, and unblockable pivoting in U-turn. Gale Wings Brave Bird also comes in clutch vs Roaring Moon and Quaquaval and pretty much anything that might sweep you. If you dont like both options, another option would be sticking a balloon into any of the mons previously given, though I'd suggest trying out paldean tauros too. :blobnom:

:scovillain:
Scovillain @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Giga Drain
- Stomping Tantrum
Choice Specs is a poor item on scovillain as what makes it scary is its ability to hit nearly all Pokemon for neutral coverage for the sunnybeam combo. Speed is also necessary so that it finds itself able to outspeed Choice Scarf users such as Gengar, Chi-Yu, and Heracross, which can all clean Fire teams late-game. Stomping Tantrum lets you pick off Chi-Yu, and Giga Drain lets it offset Life Orb recoil.
Also, take note that Choice items locks you into a move, so its a poor choice to use Leech Seed on a Chlorophyll user-only to be forced out because it can't attack next turn.

:torkoal: :chi-yu: :iron-moth: :ceruledge: :talonflame: :scovillain: Here is the team with the edits.
:torkoal: :chi-yu: :volcarona: :ceruledge: :rotom-heat: :scovillain: Here is the team with the members unchanged

I hope this helped and have fun with Fire :blobnom:
