Starmie: based this set off of an excadrill set I saw in ou with three attacking moves and rapid spin. With starmies great speed (actually faster than keldo) and good sp attack this pokemon serves as a reliable sp attack scarf

I've been befriending fairy as of late because its a pretty anti meta type atm and this is the toge set I've been using to mainly deal with probably the most troublesome mon for a fairy team, scizor. It really helps out against a bug matchup and actually makes the steel matchup winnable because scizor obtains the only steel form of priority. Afterwards, Mega diancie can proceed to just smash bug teams and be a key member in tht steel matchup with e power for coverage. It's also really nice for random bullet punches coming from something like a mega medicham who would otherwise threaten the hell out of fairy teams. It still holds that classic bulky togekiss role in being an absolute pest with its ability to take on a good amount of offensive threats with its paraflinching capabilities. Adding on the tiny niche to be able to take on scizor and medi goes a really long way in helping you get some wins that you otherwise wouldn't get.

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 252 HP / 96+ Def Babiri Berry Togekiss: 242-285 (64.7 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 252 HP / 96+ Def Babiri Berry Togekiss: 205-243 (54.8 - 64.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

4 SpA Togekiss Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Scizor: 304-360 (108.1 - 128.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

The thing I was pretty surprised about was that it even chews boosted bp's after rocks which was really cool. Non Invested flame does the job as well

Cobalion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

I've been using a lot of fighting lately, and when I built my first fighting team, I felt the typical lead Cobalion was very passive. Noticing all I needed for it was to set stealth rock, I never felt the need to run twave/taunt/volt etc. HP ice is for sniping unsuspecting Lando-I, one of the top threats to fighting, especially if its rock polish, while also ohkoing Dragonite after sr. Stone edge is primarily for Charizard, but it could be used for Zapdos and Volcarona. Focus blast is just a stab attack, that can hit Skarmory, Rotom-W, and Quagsire.
  • 252 SpA Life Orb Cobalion Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus: 322-380 (100.9 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 SpA Life Orb Cobalion Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dragonite: 265-317 (82 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

  • 0 Atk Life Orb Cobalion Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Zapdos: 198-234 (51.6 - 61%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Awesome set, definitely something I'm going to pick up. I'm tempted to try Iron Head over Focus Blast, for anti-Fairy. It actually OHKOs Mega Garde, and solidly 2HKOs anything else (Watch out for our favorite yellow magic though).

Life Orb Stall Breaker Tornadus-Therian

Tornadus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- U-turn / Knock Off
- Taunt

This set on Flying allows Tornadus-Therian to click Taunt vs Normal making it very annoying for the likes of Chansey, Porygon2 & Bulky Staraptor from being able to recover. Generally taunt can be used to keep status from being spread, opponents recovery moves, keep hazards on your side of the field from defog etc. Tornadus-Therian aside from being a soft check to stall cores it can hit very hard. With its LO stab boosted Hurricane not to many Pokemon are capable of taking a hit, Superpower is utilized for those pesky rock types that give Tornadus-Therian a hard time sweeping such as Tyranitar and finally the last move slot that I would give to Tornadus-Therian is knock off/u-turn these either allow you to get rid of the opponents item or gain momentum and switch into a better Pokemon in that matchup.

Jirachi @ Assault Vest
Ability: Serene Grace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 16 HP / 252 SpA / 240 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Energy Ball
- Moonblast
- Charge Beam

Water Breaker Jirachi is pretty useful for the Steel vs Water match-up, as charge beam + energy ball pretty much dents the whole team. An option for this set is to replace Psyshock and Moonblast with Wish + Protect (switch to leftovers if so) making it a better water breaker although Psyshock is great STAB and you can hit Venusaur, and Moonblast is to hit Dragons. I wouldn't recommend this set for psyshic as it doesnt struggle with water as much as steel does.

You forgot to mention an item change with Wish+Tect because assault vest only allows attacking moves to be used.

Calm Mind Mega Latias (Psychic)

Latias-Mega (F) @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Roost

Mega Latias is a highly underrated Mega on Psychic right now being the 4th most used Mega on Psychic at the moment. However Mega Latias with this set can create a great defensive synergy with Psychic while being able to take care of flying due to BoltBeam Spam. Mega Latias almost creates an auto wincondution vs so many types because of its great natural bulk, ability to setup on large portions of the metagame and amazing coverage moves allow Mega Latias to become very hard to take down on so many different levels. Its moveset has Calm Mind to setup its Special Bulk making it significantly harder to break down, BoltBeam because it just tears through so many teams especially flying and roost so mega latias can preserve its longevity in battle.

This pokemon makes a great defensive synergy with Colbur Berry Slowbro and SpD Jirachi as they are able together to wall a very large portion of the Metagame.

Dragon Dance Tyranitar-Mega (Dark)

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
- Crunch/Superpower/Fire Punch

This set is greatly underrated but has very nice potential to sweep the opponents team because of the unexpected Dragon Dance as many people expect the usually expect Brazalian Tyranitar holding Chople Berry/Leftovers. This allows Dark to have a setup sweeper that can handle a larger chunk of the metagame. Its coverage moves allow it to take down Flying, Psychic and Dragon. Three very commonly used types in the current metagame. Tyranitar can setup 1-2 Dragon Dance and outspeed tye likes of Landorus, Cobalion, Volcanion (max speed not scarf), and other relatively large threats to the dark typing. Of course if you arent using Tyranitar for rocks a great partner would be in Intimidate Sash Krookodile for the Dark typing.

Custap Berry Rhyperior (Rock)

Rhyperior @ Custap Berry
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 212 HP/ 252 Defense/ 44 Speed
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Endure

Having a bad day? Jirachi giving you a bad time? Fear no more, because this set will be save your life. Generally Rhyperior in rock is used with a weakness policy set in order to 1HKO some rock threats, such as scizor, mega medicham and others. However, while the WP set is very good, most players nowadays have started catching up with the rock shenanigans and tend to use non-super effective moves on Rhyperior to 2HKO it anyway, such as Mega Scizor's +2 Bug Bite and Mega Medicham's Zen Headbutt (If they run it). Because of this, I decided to give this fun set a try. With the bulk investment shown here, rhyperior can live Mega Medi's HJK and 2HKO back with the surprise outspeed provided by custap. Alongside this, with the 44 speed provided, Rhyperior outspeeds 8 speed Mega Scizor after webs, meaning that it can beat it 1v1. (It's specially funny if rhyp has been weakened by something else like Bisharp beforehand, and you end up outspeeding Mega-Scizor's BP with your custap)

252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 212 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 316-375 (74.5 - 88.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Bullet Punch vs. 212 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 66-78 (15.5 - 18.3%) -- possible 6HKO

(This roll means that most medi's will actually not go for the BP after HJK'ing)

Custap doesn't give the user priority. It allows the user to move first within its priority bracket. Increased priority moves like Bullet Punch will still move before a Custap Berry user.

Empoleon @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Agility

Shuca Berry Empoleon was made to help vs a bad ground matchup such as Sand LO Excadrill which it can live 1 hit then retaliate to ohko with hydro pump. This has almost the same moveset as Ludicolo completely Ground Destructive with Agility rather than Rain Dance so its permanent and allows Empoleon to live a Ground attack because its nuetralized with the Shuca Berry. Shuca Berry Empoleon acts as a great lure to many ground types that threaten Steel such as Landorus-I and Excadrill. This sets HP lets live an LO Excadrills Max Roll without Rocks Damage and still easily lives Landorus-I attack with Steatlh Rock damage. The rest is dumped into 252 Special Attack to hit as hard as possible and the rest 232 into speed with agility to outspeed a majority of the Unboosted Metagame. Idea taken from UU and optimized for Monotype.

A Dodrio set pretty much unheard of in Monotype. This set has really helped me out in UU Monotype tours. Adamant nature let's it hit as hard as possible, and with webs support from Smeargle, is capable of outspeeding almost the entire meta outside of a few flying and levitating scarf users. It is capable of sweeping teams once certain checks are gone, and usually OHKOs anything that doesn't resist it.

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

Probably the best Drapion set ever. It's incredibly underrated, just acupressure to accumulate multitple boosts, rest once you've taken some hefty damage, sleep talk while your asleep to get more acupressure boosts, and once it gets going, it's almost impossible to beat. It's great to use on poison due to its psychic immunity, and it can help a lot in matchups where there's a passive pokemon you can set up on. Once it gets its boost, it'll be nearly impossible to revenge kill. Knock off is for STAB, also, battle armor prevents it from being hit by critical hits, so if it gets 4x defense and 4x special defense, it becomes almost impossible to defeat.

Ability: Overgrow
Happiness: 256
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature

- Power Whip

- Synthesis

A very underrated set, in my opinion. This set is absolutely brutal against types like rock, electric, and water. The concept is a very simple one; come in against a pokemon you can set up on, then proceed to set up more curses and sweep your opponents team. Once it gets enough boosts, taking it down with a physical attack will be extremely difficult, it can also take down some pokemon that it normally wouldn't if it has enough boosts.
+6 4 Atk Mega Venusaur Power Whip vs. 248 HP / 176+ Def Zapdos: 222-261 (57.9 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.

And once Zapdos is down enough HP, you can proceed to play roost mindgames with earthquake.
+6 4 Atk Mega Venusaur Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 176+ Def Zapdos: 494-582 (128.9 - 151.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

It can also live a few moves as well if it gets a boost up or two.
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. +1 252 HP / 0 Def Thick Fat Mega Venusaur: 138-164 (37.9 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO.
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Psyshock vs. +2 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Venusaur: 143-172 (39.2 - 47.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO.
252+ Atk Choice Band Dragonite Outrage vs. +2 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Venusaur: 138-163 (37.9 - 44.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO.

One of the main things stopping this thing is Skarmory, but, you can play roost mindgames with it as well.
+2 0 Atk Mega Venusaur Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 164-194 (49.1 - 58%) -- 64.5% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.

THICC (Venusaur) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Overgrow
Happiness: 256
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Power Whip
- Earthquake

I'd reccomend Petal Blizzard instead of Power Whip. While it is a little weaker, it has more BP and Accuracy, which for a bulky set up mon like this it's a lot more viable.

Skuntank @ Air Balloon
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 240 HP / 84 Def / 184 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Defog
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Fire Blast

I made this set for the OMPL tie breaker and only just remembered it now lol, so I thought why not post. This skuntank has enough defense to live a +2 Mega Scizor's bullet punch after rocks and does 85 min in return with fire blast. It has enough speed to outspeed adamant max speed Mega Scizor. It also guaranteed lives a hit from Victini after rocks. It can also trap Hoopa-Unbound.

Given that Mega Scizor is a huge threat to poison with the only reliable check being Weezing, I feel this set is very effective. Teams lacking Mega Venusaur also struggle with victini so it's ability to deal with that is also very appreciated.
+2 252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 240 HP / 84 Def Skuntank: 297-349 (72.9 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 240 HP / 84 Def Skuntank: 303-357 (74.4 - 87.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Hoopa Unbound Hyperspace Fury vs. 240 HP / 84 Def Skuntank: 118-139 (28.9 - 34.1%) -- 2.9% chance to 3HK

0 SpA Skuntank Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Scizor: 240-284 (85.4 - 101%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
0+ Atk Skuntank Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 180-212 (52.7 - 62.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0+ Atk Skuntank Sucker Punch vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 270-318 (79.1 - 93.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0+ Atk Skuntank Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hoopa Unbound: 135-160 (44.8 - 53.1%) -- 31.3% chance to 2HKO
0+ Atk Skuntank Sucker Punch vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Hoopa Unbound: 202-238 (67.1 - 79%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Bear in mind that I made this quite a while ago so there may have been more reasons as to why I chose the ev's but I can't remember them.
