[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Scizor leverages its great bulk and solid defensive typing to serve as a sturdy check to many Pokemon—including Weavile, Kartana, and Tapu Lele—and a solid wincon as well. U-turn allows it to serve as a pivot: easily switching it out of checks such as Gholdengo, Urshifu-R, and Mega Charizard Y, it brings in teammates like Tapu Koko and Dragapult to deal with them. Close Combat can be used to dispose of Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran much more quickly, greatly denting them on the switch. The given EV spread allows Mega Scizor to survive two Close Combats from Mega Lopunny after Stealth Rock and outspeed uninvested Heatran, with the HP and Special Defense EVs helping it check Tapu Lele and Espathra. Mega Scizor's pivot support is extremely valuable to Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Rotom-W, and Zamazenta, which all also appreciate how well it exploits defensive Pokemon such as Clodsire, Ferrothorn, and Landorus-T. Rotom-W forms a strong VoltTurn core with Mega Scizor as well, with both pivoting out on their checks and racking up solid chip damage over time. Nasty Plot Tornadus-T appreciates Mega Scizor pressuring specially defensive walls and offensive Pokemon like Weavile and Clodsire, letting it go all-in as an offensive wallbreaker with ease. Mega Scizor wearing down Rotom-W and Heatran is also particularly useful for Tornadus-T, as these Pokemon can heavily damage or cripple Tornadus-T in one way or another. Mega Scizor being completely countered by Gholdengo mandates a Pursuit trapper like Weavile or Kingambit to pressure it. Skeledirge also hard counters Mega Scizor, encouraging the aforementioned teammates as well as Garganacl and Heatran.

[SET COMMENTS]
This set takes on a much more offensive role, using its solid defensive typing for easy entry points against Pokemon like Weavile, Kingambit, and Espathra, setting up, and threatening the vast majority of the metagame with its strong Technician-boosted attacks. Close Combat KOes Steel-types like Heatran and Ferrothorn, as well as providing a strong neutral hit against Rotom-W. Dual Wingbeat hits Clodsire and Toxapex for reliable neutral damage, hits Zamazenta super effectively, and breaks Substitute against Shed Tail hyper offense teams and Dragon Dance Dragapult. Knock Off is an alternative to hit Gholdengo reliably and remove items like Leftovers from Rotom-W and Heavy-Duty Boots from Tornadus-T, Skeledirge, and Volcarona. This allows a teammate or Mega Scizor to wear them down much more easily. Knock Off is especially relevant in Rotom-W's case, as removing Leftovers makes it easier to put into KO range of +2 Close Combat. Running Knock Off makes Toxapex a much worse matchup, however, so Pokemon like Great Tusk and Tapu Koko that can pressure it are appreciated. Sand Tomb can be used to reliably beat Clodsire, Toxapex, and Gholdengo, preventing them from reliably checking it. (added paragraph break) Offensive Mega Scizor fits much better on hyper offense teams, which appreciate its incredibly valuable—though short-term—defensive utility. Grimmsnarl is a perfect teammate, providing dual screens to let it set up against foes like Great Tusk, Dragonite, and Landorus-T; it also pivots Mega Scizor in and appreciates it baiting in Gholdengo, which prevents Grimmsnarl from pivoting as effectively. Gholdengo itself is also a notable partner, as it appreciates Mega Scizor dispatching the most popular Dark-types in Weavile and Kingambit. Entry hazards from suicide leads like Landorus-T and Garchomp allow Mega Scizor to clean late-game, as its foes must be chipped before any sweeping is done. Entry hazards particularly help in wearing down checks like Urshifu-R and bulkier Garchomp sets. Mega Scizor struggles against bulky Steel-resistant Pokemon like Rotom-W and Volcarona; Dragonite and Dragapult can take care of the latter, switching into Volcarona to set up as it switches into Mega Scizor, whereas Great Tusk can remove Leftovers from the former, making it easier for Mega Scizor to dispatch with +2 Close Combat. Physically defensive Unaware walls in Skeledirge and Dondozo completely wall Mega Scizor, so offensive Pokemon that can bait in or wear down these foes, including Calm Mind Espathra and Iron Valiant, make for solid partners.

Mega Scizor leverages its great bulk and solid defensive typing to serve as a sturdy check to many Pokemon—including Weavile, Kartana, and Tapu Lele—and be a solid wincon as well. U-turn allows Mega Scizor to serve as a pivot, safely switching out on otherwise dangerous checks such as Gholdengo, Urshifu-R, and Mega Charizard Y, bringing in teammates like Tapu Koko and Ting-Lu to deal with them. Close Combat can be used to dispose of Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran much faster, hitting them on the switch for huge amounts of chip damage. Roost allows Mega Scizor to stay healthy throughout a game, letting it check Pokemon like Espathra and bulky non-Fire Punch Dragonite long-term and switch in on defensive Pokemon like Clodsire and Landorus-T to more safely use them as setup fodder. fluff The given EV spread allows Mega Scizor to not be 2HKOed Close Combat from Mega Lopunny after Stealth Rock from full HP and outspeed uninvested Heatran, with the rest of the EVs going into HP and Special Defense to maximize Mega Scizor's ability to check Tapu Lele and Espathra. Outspeeding Heatran is especially important if using Close Combat, as Mega Scizor needs to reliably KO it without being outsped and KOed itself. applies to uturn too, fluff Mega Scizor's pivot support is extremely valuable to Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Rotom-W, and Zamazenta, which all also appreciate how well it beats takes advantage of defensive Pokemon such as Clodsire, Ferrothorn, and Landorus-T. Rotom-W forms a strong VoltTurn core with Mega Scizor as well, pivoting out on each others checks and racking up solid amounts of chip damage over time. Nasty Plot Tornadus-T appreciates pressure being taken off of it as a Kartana check, letting it go all-in as an offensive wallbreaker with ease. i love kart and think its great but it is a b rank mon rn and is not too common, maybe swap around some of its examples (not specifically this one, just in general thruout) Mega Scizor wearing down Rotom-W and Heatran is also particularly useful for Tornadus-T, as these Pokemon can heavily damage or cripple Tornadus-T in one way or another. Mega Scizor being completely countered by Gholdengo mandates a teammate such as Ting-Lu, specially defensive Heatran, or Clodsire to check it. Skeledirge also hard-counters Mega Scizor, so the aforementioned teammates and Rotom-W are also heavily appreciated as teammates.

Swords Dance + 3 Attacks Mega Scizor takes on a much more offensive role, using its solid defensive typing for easy entry points on mons like? to set up and threaten the vast majority of the metagame with its strong Technician-boosted coverage. Close Combat lets Mega Scizor KO Steel-types like Heatran and i think u pick smtg else, mzor dont care much about gambit + tomb hits it too, maybe like ferro or just changenit to general neutral hit since it bops rotom (big) act ya do this Kingambit. Sand Tomb lets Mega Scizor reliably beat Clodsire, Toxapex, and Gholdengo, preventing them from reliably checking it. Dual Wingbeat looks appealing as a way to deal with various checks in Tangrowth, Zamazenta, and Great Tusk; however, Zamazenta and Great Tusk are both 2HKOed by Bullet Punch and the move therefore doesn't serve as much of a purpose im ngl i think u miss the point of the move, tang is a bit of a poor mention since it does nothing (u also dont cover why its not good irt tang but thats smtg else), it a strong neutral hit move that bops clod pex much harder and without the miss chance, but does not hit ghold that hard which is annoying, its worth to mention in set details bc it does have a niche just not a good one most of the time (also hits zama which is big since it ohkoes u w band so bp mention is a bit worrywhirl, and id press sets bop u. the key reason is rlly just bulky ghold) also it breaks sub which is nice for stuff like pult. ok wait dont do this yet discussinb on cord Offensive Mega Scizor fits much better on hyper offensive idt u want to run straight up 3a no bulk on stuff other than that lol teams, which appreciate its incredibly valuable—though short-term—defensive utility. Grimmsnarl is a perfect teammate, as dual screens bolster its bulk to be levels that let it set up against foes like Great Tusk, Dragonite, and Landorus-T. Grimmsnarl also provides valuable pivot support, minimizing the amount of hits that Mega Scizor needs to take before coming in, as well as appreciating Mega Scizor baiting Gholdengo, which prevents Grimmsnarl from pivoting as effectively. Gholdengo is a notable partner in that it appreciates Mega Scizor dispatching the most popular Dark-types, Weavile and Kingambit. This makes it much easier for Gholdengo to sweep without fear of being forced out earlier than it would like. Entry hazards from suicide leads like Landorus-T and Garchomp make it easier for Mega Scizor to clean late-game, as it is required that opponents are chipped before any sweeping is done. Entry hazards particularly help in wearing down checks like Urshifu-R and bulkier Garchomp sets. i think u can merge a few of these past sentences together a bit, and cut a bit off the fluff Mega Scizor struggles against bulky Steel-resistant Pokemon like Rotom-W and Volcarona; as such, teammates such as Nasty Plot Tornadus-T and Swords Dance Garchomp i am very unsure of these partners, they look like they do not fit here, think u shld change them make for highly effective partners. Physically defensive Unaware walls in Skeledirge and Dondozo completely wall Mega Scizor, despite it having super effective coverage for the former. Offensive partners that can bait or wear down these foes, including Calm Mind Espathra and Iron Valiant, make for solid partners.

U-turn allows Mega Scizor to serve as a pivot, safely switching out on otherwise dangerous checks such as Gholdengo, Urshifu-R, and Mega Charizard Y, bringing in teammates like Tapu Koko and Ting-Lu can king lu really pressure those ? it kinda doesn't, bar putting hazards on, so mention smth else to deal with them. Close Combat can be used to dispose of Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran much faster, hitting them on the switch for huge amounts of chip damage. The given EV spread allows Mega Scizor to survive a Close Combat from Mega Lopunny after Stealth Rock from full HP shouldn't it be 2 close combat ? and outspeed uninvested Heatran, with the rest of the EVs going into HP and Special Defense to maximize Mega Scizor's ability to check Tapu Lele and Espathra. Mega Scizor being completely countered by Gholdengo mandates a teammate such as Ting-Lu, specially defensive Heatran, or Clodsire to check it think Pursuit is more relevant than those, esp since Weav share great synergy w Zor. Skeledirge also hard-counters Mega Scizor, so the aforementioned teammates and Rotom-W are also heavily appreciated. bar heatran they all lose to it/hate to be wisped so i wld mention other mons.

Swords Dance + 3 Attacks Mega Scizor takes on a much more offensive role, using its solid defensive typing for easy entry points against Pokemon like Weavile, Kingambit, and Ferrothorn, u just get leech seeded on so i wld change it for smth else setting up and threatening the vast majority of the metagame with its strong Technician-boosted coverage. Close Combat lets Mega Scizor KO Steel-types like Heatran and Ferrothron, as well as providing a strong neutral hit against Rotom-W. Dual Wingbeat hits Clodsire and Toxapex for reliable neutral damage, hits Zamazenta, and breaks Substitute against Shed Tail hyper offense teams and Dragon Dance Dragapult. Knock Off is an alternative that lets Mega Scizor remove items like Leftovers from Rotom-W and Heavy-Duty Boots from Tornadus-T, Skeledirge, and Volcarona, allowing a teammate or it to wear them down much more easily and hitting Gholdengo which should be the main point since it just sits on you LOL. This is especially relevant in Rotom-W's case, as removing Leftovers makes it easier to put it into range of +2 Close Combat. If using Knock Off, however, alternative counterplay to Toxapex is needed, including the likes of Great Tusk and Espathra tbh dwb doesn't really helps against toxa, unless u dodge burn and hitting twice so i wld reword this. also bird needs turn to setup and kinda do nothing against pex cuz haze so i wld pick smth else. Sand Tomb can be used reliably beat Clodsire, Toxapex, and Gholdengo, preventing them from reliably checking it. Offensive Mega Scizor fits much better on hyper offense teams, which appreciate its incredibly valuable—, though short-term, —defensive utility. Gholdengo itself is also notable partner, as it appreciates Mega Scizor dispatching the most popular Dark-types for Gholdengo in Weavile and Kingambit. Mega Scizor struggles against bulky Steel-resistant Pokemon like Rotom-W and Volcarona. Dragonite and Dragapult are able to take care of the latter, using Volcarona as setup fodder as it switches in against Mega Scizor, whereas Great Tusk can remove Leftovers from the former, making it easier for Mega Scizor to dispatch it with +2 Close Combat. Physically defensive Unaware walls in Skeledirge and Dondozo completely wall Mega Scizor, despite it having super effective coverage for the former since the first slashed move is dual wingbeat fsr you don't always carry the said coverage so i wld just remove this. Offensive partners that can bait or wear down these foes, including Calm Mind Espathra and Iron Valiant, make for solid partners.

it was mostly saying that they pivot on their individual checks to rack up more damage (e.g. rotomw pivots out on an incoming ferrothorn, which scizor comes in on and forces out with the threat of cc or something) can change if needed.

also sets are one paragraph but if there are any issues with that lmk, otherwise this is done

also sets are one paragraph but if there are any issues with that lmk, otherwise this is done
"Rotom-W forms a strong VoltTurn core with Mega Scizor as well, with both pivoting out on their checks..." assuming that works

i'd really rather there be a paragraph break with that length + the clear delineation of mon strategy vs team strategy, i think it has notable benefit and no downside. if it's really gotta be one paragraph, i think it's longer than is desirable. idk how strong the 1 paragraph requirement is / how awkward this is lol

discussed and we're gonna keep it on para for now, but if u end up checking things in the future when the metagame will undeniably shift and change a lot, we'll probably move towards a two paragraph format to account for bigger analysis size. thanks though!
