Alright, the first slate is over! Due to the lack of submissions for Marshadow & Lucario, Samtendo's submission is official! That leaves the rest of the submissions to vote for. The voting system is as follows: six total votes, with two of those being self votes. However, if you want to make a self vote, you must vote for at least two other submissions per self vote. Voting commences!
I find it a bit shocking that only I ever did a submission for Marshadow & Lucario, the "mascot" team.

I'll vote later btw.

I'd recommend putting the teams that are up for votes in one spoilered post!

Voting for my Gengar/Mimikyu team, Stakataka/Blacephalon, Starmie/Jirachi.

I will say to voters as well, a lot of these submissions have bad flavor, are overpowered, or are just too convoluted. I wanted to vote for more but a lot of these could use tune ups. I think a key thing is that the duos should fit in a DOU metagame, and that duos shouldn't completely make solo mons obsolete.

Solo mons are not going to be allowed in this metagame. This is due to the way the mechanics of this meta work. What's more, due to the fact that the metagame is being built around the pair mechanic, the bar for power is automatically going to be a bit higher than that of standard Doubles OU. And, finally, the point of strategies and techniques is to be creative. I will be the judge if things get too overpowered or convoluted, and right now, I don't see any of the current submissions as being too OP. As for convoluted, if I have a tough time understanding what you are trying to do with your strategy, that's where I draw the line, but the submissions I have seen don't feel that way. If something does end up turning out overpowered or has an error somewhere, we can probably fix it quite easily. For example, your Will-o-Wisp/Shadow Claw for Gengar/Mimikyu cannot be blocked, similar to Hyperspace Fury. This is not possible, because neither move is unblockable. Therefore, if it wins, we can simply remove that clause of the move. Also, if you don't like the flavor, that's okay, but it's not a criteria for a submission to have perfect flavor. Flavor is subjective. But on that note...

If a submitter needs help coming up with flavor for the strategies and techniques of their submissions, or someone wants to run something by others before they submit it, the Marshadow & Lucario Discord server, which is linked in the original post, is available for that purpose. People are free to ask for feedback here, but it should be done sparingly. Keep this post in mind for this voting slate and future submission slates.

Chandelure & Kommo-o

Strategy: Chandelure and Kommo-o both gain the first unused ability of their partner.

Chandelure Technique Synergy
Flamboyant Flames (Overheat + Dragon Dance)

100 BP | 90% Accuracy
Raises Chandelure's SpA and Spe by 2 stages

Kommo-o Technique Synergy
Scale Striking (Close Combat + Hex)

100 BP | 100% Accuracy
If the opponent is statused this attack deals double damage and lower Def and SpD by 1 stage.
If the opponent isn't statused, lowers Def and SpD by 2 stages

*insert overview here (Will do soon)*

Suicune
Lando-T

Team: Suicune & Landorus-Therian
Strategy: Purify - Only one of the pair can have status conditions at a time.
Suicune's Technique Synergy: Scald + Earthquake = Steam Quake
- Type: Water
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 100
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Hits both opponents. 30% chance to burn. 60% if they are using Dig.
Landorus-Therian's Technique Synergy: Tailwind + Bulldoze = Sky Flatten
- Type: Flying
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 60
- Accuracy: 90%
- Effect: Boosts Speed by 1 for every use. Lowers target's Speed by 1.
Overview: These two already work well together, having great defensive synergy. This merely helps more. Purify makes it difficult to put a cap on both at once. Burn Landorus, and you can't poison Suicune. Poison Suicune and you can't Burn Landorus. Also if Suicune uses Rest, it heals up while Landorus become status-proof. Steam Quake is just a harder hitting Scald that hits both opponents. Sky Flatten gives Landorus some Flying STAB and a way to boost speed without a Choice Scarf.

Image result for volcanion sprite

Team: Ferrothorn & Volcanion
Strategy: Fire Trap - All hazards have a 10% chance to burn in addition to the hazard's original effect.
Ferrothorn's Technique Synergy: Giga Drain + Flare Blitz = Power Drain
- Type: Grass
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 120
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 1/3 of the damage is leeched.
Volcanion's Technique Synergy: Aqua Ring + Leech Seed = Aqua Drain
- Type: Water
- Classification: (
)
- Power: -
- Accuracy: 90%
- Effect: 1/8 of target's health drained to user every turn. 1/16 of user's health per pokemon affected by Aqua Drain is restored.
Overview: These two have great coverage and synergy already. Now it'll be hell to take them out. Fire Trap makes burning very easy. Power Drain gives Ferrothorn some much needed recovery. Aqua Drain offers insane regen.

Gliscor

Team: Gliscor & Tyranitar
Strategy: Sand Guard - In a sandstorm, Gliscor and Tyranitar have their Defense and Special Defense multiplied by 1.5.
Gliscor's Technique Synergy: Roost + Assurance = Landing Spot
- Type: Flying
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 100
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Heals 50% of health. If attacked while on the same turn, Gliscor attacks.
Tyranitar's Technique Synergy: Throat Chop + Stone Edge = Throat Impaler
- Type: Dark
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 100
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Target loses the ability to use sound based attacks for 5 moves.
Overview: Nigh Invincible in Sand, pretty tough anywhere else. Sand Guard makes it so. Landing Spot discourages people from attacking, while Throat Impaler gives Tyranitar decent Dark STAB.

Cookie Butter

formerly the someone

Team: Huntail & Gorebyss
Strategy: Deep Sea Duo - Both partners' SpA and SpD are multiplied by 1.5.
Huntail's Technique Synergy: Deep Sea Maelstrom
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 35
- Accuracy: --%
- Effect: Sets Rain for 5 turns. Inflicts Whirlpool effect for 4 or 5 turns against all non-Water-types in field. Note: The 35 BP attack only hits one Pokémon, not all on field.
Gorebyss's Technique Synergy: Deep Sea Geyser
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 65
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 50% chance to burn. Chance doubles if the target's HP is 30% or less. Power doubles if opponent is burnt.
Overview: Tremendous wallbreakers, and potentially sweepers in Rain. At +1 SpA from their Strategy, the partners can reach even higher power with Shell Smash. The passive damage from Whirlpool effect and burns will also rack up. With Huntail's Technique setting Rain, both get doubled Speed (if running Swift Swim, which you should be doing) and even stronger Water moves.

Team: Sceptile & Ampharos
Strategy: Dragon Potential - When in base form, both partners gain the resistances of Dragon-types. When one Mega Evolves, the one that Mega Evolved loses the first effect, but the other will attract Fairy-type moves to itself, become immune to Fairy-type moves and raise its Special Attack by 1 stage when hit by a Fairy-type move.
Sceptile's Technique Synergy: Jungle Plasma Storm (Leaf Storm + Ion Deluge)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 130
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Priority +1. Changes subsequent Normal-type moves to Electric-type moves.
Ampharos's Technique Synergy: Giga Charge Flow (Discharge + Giga Drain)
- Type:

- Classification: (
)
- Power: 80
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Hits all other Pokémon. Leeches 50% of the damage dealt. 30% chance to paralyze each target.

Alolan Marowak+Aromatisse
Team: Alolan Marowak+Aromatisse
Strategy: Ditzy Funeral Waltz (Aromatisse immediately sets up Trick Room upon switch in.)
Alolan Marowak's Technique Synergy: Flapper Facade (Flare Blitz+Dazzling Gleam)
- Type: Fire
- Classification: (
)
- Power: 120
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Has a 30% recoil. This move hits both opposing Pokémon. This has a 10% chance to Burn.
- Flavor (optional): Aromatisse performs an intimate and flaunty dance that the opposition lusts over. Unbeknownst to them, the opposing duo have lined themselves up to get obliterated by an upcoming Flare Blitz from Alolan Marowak.
Aromatisse's Technique Synergy: Gothic Cologne (Aromatic Mist+Curse)
- Type: Ghost
- Classification: (
)
- Power: N/A
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Alolan Marowak’s Attack, Defense, and Special Defense are raised by one stage but lowers its Speed by one stage. (this move does not trigger the effects of Curse that Ghost-types have).
- Flavor (optional): Aromatisse exerts a sweet pink mist that encompasses Alolan Marowak. Alolan Marowak taints the mist with a simple bone dance. The mist begins to darken to a sickly gray and induces the smell of pain and anguish.
Overview: I wanted to make my own depiction of a dedicated Trick Room duo. At first I went with Cresselia, but eventually I found some more interesting ideas with Aromatisse. An immediate Trick Room makes this one powerful immediate strategy. Alolan Marowak is also a tough cookie to break with Gothic Cologne while packing a major punch. Once Trick Room is over though, Alolan Marowak and Aromatisse are fatally exposed and Aromatisse’s bulk is fairly average.

Team: Heatran & Cresselia
Strategy: Day Night Cycle (On odd turns of being out, Heatran is lifted off the ground while Cresselia is considered grounded. On even turns of being out, Heatran is grounded while Cresselia is off the ground. When Heatran is off the ground, its Fire moves are boosted by 1.5x. When Cresselia is off the ground, its healing moves also affect Heatran.)

Heatran's Technique: Solar Eclipse (Eruption/Lunar Dance)
Type: Fire
Classification: Special
Power: 150
Accuracy: 100
Effect: Heatran is fully healed before the attack's damage is calculated. However, Cresselia loses an equal amount of HP to the amount Heatran is healed by.
Flavor: Cresselia sits in front of Heatran, and pours its energy into Heatran, which uses it to unleash a devastating attack.

Cresselia's Technique: Lunar Landing (Rest + Psycho Shift)
Type: Psychic
Classification: Status
Power: -
Accuracy: -
Effect: Cresselia Rests to full HP. It then transfers the sleep status to a random foe, which lasts one turn. If the foe is already under a status condition, Cresselia will simply wake up.
Flavor: Cresselia rests atop Heatran, the soothing warmth lulling it to sleep. This feeling is then transferred to the foe by Cresselia within the dream world, which wakes it up.

Overview: Heatran is a solid Pokemon in the Doubles metagame thanks to STAB Heat Wave and powerful Special Attack, but it can be tough for it to deal with Ground types and EQ due to its 4x weakness. However, when on a team with Cresselia, it starts in the air by default! The two rise and fall, and when they are in the sky, they possess more capabilities. Their technique synergies are solid too. Using Solar Eclipse when Heatran is airborne deals an incredible amount of damage, and Lunar Landing while Cresselia is in the air also allows Heatran to recover to full. Taking advantage of the different times of day is the key to victory with this pair.

Resubs:

Team: Shaymin-Sky & Nidoking
Strategy: Trading Plans - These Pokemon can use each other's moves if the move in question is affected by their ability
Shaymin's Technique Synergy: Poison Berries (Leech Seed + Sludge Bomb)
- Type: Grass
- Classification:

- Power: 90
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 30% chance to seed the target
Nidoking's Technique Synergy: Toxic Stimulus (Venom Drench + Tailwind)
- Type: Poison
- Classification:

- Power: --
- Accuracy: --
- Effect: Doubles the team's speed for 4 turns and boosts the user's Attack and Special Attack by 1
Overview: WIP (Seed Flare Nidoking, Fire Blast/Ice Beam Shaymin, Earth Power Shaymin without using a moveslot on Shaymin, you can have it all!)

Team: Oranguru & Stakataka
Strategy: Super Symbiosis - If one or both Pokemon in the pair has the ability Symbiosis and one or both of the Pokemon in the pair is holding an item that was effected by the Gen VI Symbiosis Eject Button glitch, then the team's items activates twice (see list for effects)
Oranguru's Technique Synergy: Mental Toll (Dream Eater + Stealth Rock)
- Type: Psychic
- Classification:

- Power: --
- Accuracy: --
- Effect: Sets Psychic-type Stealth Rock on the opponent's side of the field. Any time the hazard deals damage, the team is healed by 50% of the damage done.
Stakataka's Technique Synergy: Charged-Up Spin (Gyro Ball + Stored Power)
- Type: Steel
- Classification:

- Power: --
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: Base Power is calculated by "20 × (Target's Current Speed / User's Current Speed)) + (10 × User's Stat Boosts)" The number calculated by the first part of the formula cannot be more than 150.
Overview: Double your pleasure, double your fun. Being able to use the Symbiosis glitch practically is a huge boon as it has some crazy effects that both Stakataka and Oranguru can abuse easily. Leftovers, unlike most items, actually gets its effect applied 4 times, so Oranguru can heal by 2 Poison Heal turns EVERY turn. So much for not having reliable recovery, eh? Stakataka can also abuse some of the offensive items, like double Life Orb (though it hurts you twice), double Iron Plate, double Weakness Policy, double Sitrus/Figy Berry to heal up to full, and more. Oh, and these two make for a scary Trick Room combo, too.

Team: Slaking & Tornadus-Incarnate
Strategy: Next Mon Up - If either Pokemon has to spend a turn where it cannot act (recharging, Truant, etc.), their ally uses the first status move in their moveset when their partner would act (This uses their partner's Speed stat, but not abilities, so it's unaffected by Prankster or Stall). This doesn't activate if either Pokemon used a protection move.
Slaking's Technique Synergy: Roundabout Smash (Giga Impact + Air Cutter)
- Type: Normal
- Classification:

- Power: 120
- Accuracy: 95%
- Effect: High critical hit ratio, hits both foes, user recharges after use
Tornadus' Technique Synergy: Gale Force (Tailwind + Work Up)
- Type: Flying
- Classification:

- Power: --
- Accuracy: --
- Effect: Sets Tailwind (doubles team's speed for 4 turns). During Tailwind, the team's Attack and Special Attack are boosted by 1.2x
Overview: This team basically allows Slaking to actually be useful as it's wasted turn basically allows Tornadus to act twice. That turn can allow Tornadus to use something like Bulk Up and Substitute on the same turn, or Taunt and Defog, or Agility and Tailwind (if you need Tailwind on a Truant turn). This team also gives Slaking a powerful option to hit both opponents with essentially no downside due to Truant and Next Mon Up.

New Subs:

Team: Oricorio-Pom Pom & Volcarona
Strategy: Choreography - Both Pokemon on the team gain the effects of the ability Dancer. If one of the Pokemon on the team already has Dancer, that Pokemon also gains the effects of the ability Trace
Oricorio's Technique Synergy: Cool Down (Roost + Fiery Dance)
- Type: Flying
- Classification:

- Power: --
- Accuracy: --%
- Effect: Heals both members of the team by 50% of their max HP and raises the Special Attack of both members of the team by 1
Volcarona's Technique Synergy: Fiery Passion (Overheat + Hurricane)
- Type: Fire
- Classification:

- Power: 130
- Accuracy: 70%
- Effect: No additional effects
Overview: WIP (Spam Quiver Dance, Fiery Dance, and Revelation Dance and avoid Rock Slides)

Strategy: Blissey takes attacks directed at Cubone. The thick club now also doubles the attack and special attack of blissey if cubone wears it
Blissey's Technique Synergy: Break for Lunch (Soft-Boiled / Protect)
- Type: Normal
- Classification:
175923

- Power: --
- Accuracy: --
- Effect: Protects both users and heals each by 50% of Blissey's HP
Cubone's Technique Synergy: Bone Guard (Defense Curl / Swords Dance)
- Type: Normal
- Classification:
175922

- Power: --
- Accuracy: --
- Effect: Buffs Blissey and Cubone's Def and Attack by one stage
Overview: Imagine a Blissey with an adopted Cubone on her pouch

Submission phase is over! Voting phase begins! Once again, six votes with two self votes, and other votes to self votes must be at least a 2:1 ratio.
