[OVERVIEW]
Ludicolo finds itself a niche as a scary cleaner on offense teams, with Swift Swim letting it outspeed the entire tier. Furthermore, its coverage moves hit the majority of the tier for at least neutral damage, which makes it difficult to switch into safely. It has quite decent defensive utility, switching into the likes of defensive Jellicent, Eldegoss, and Quagsire. However, it relies heavily on rain to function, being somewhat weak and very slow otherwise, outsped by the likes of Charizard and Archeops. Gigalith can remove Ludicolo's rain, massively restricting its effectiveness. Further, priority users like Thwackey and Doublade make it hard for Ludicolo to reliably sweep, and it can struggle against Pokemon that carry Wish and Protect like Audino and Togedemaru, which survive its attacks while stalling rain turns.

[SET COMMENTS]
Rain Dance lets Ludicolo set up rain to boost its Speed and power up its Water-type move. Surf does reliable damage, but Hydro Pump can be run for more damage against the likes of Audino and Scrafty. Giga Drain lets it hit the many bulky Water-types in the tier, like Jellicent and Wishiwashi, while healing from chip damage it has accumulated. Ice Beam hits Grass- and Dragon-types like Eldegoss, Tangela, and Altaria for super effective damage. 29 HP IVs minimize the damage taken from Life Orb. Offensive Pokemon like Scrafty, Frosmoth, and Doublade make for excellent teammates, breaking through walls like Weezing and Eldegoss, to allow Ludicolo to clean up. Ludicolo really appreciates entry hazard support from teammates like Froslass, Lycanroc, and Archeops to help it break through foes like Scrafty and Gallade. Special walls like Frosmoth and Audino give Ludicolo troubles; physical wallbreakers and special lures like Gallade, Lycanroc, and Choice Specs + Switcheroo Ribombee can punish them. Sand Rush Lycanroc can also exploit opposing Gigalith's sand, making it a good teammate.

[OVERVIEW]
Ludicolo finds itself a niche as a scary cleaner on offense teams, thanks to Swift Swim letting it outspeed the entire tier. Furthermore, its coverage being able to hit the majority of the tier for at least neutral damage makes it difficult to switch into safely. Its got quite decent defensive utility, being able to switch into the likes of Jellicent, Eldegoss, and Ferrothorn. (ferroseed, but you shouldn't be switching into it anyway bc they commonly run knock off + ice beam bounces off.) However, its relatively weak if its not dealing super effective damage or outside of Rain.

other flaws you should mention:

- its low speed makes it easy to pressure outside of rain while its bad phys bulk makes it easy to pressure even under rain via priority

- gigalith is everywhere and resets the weather upon switch-in, which can limit ludicolo's early- to mid-game (and honestly even sometimes late-game) effectiveness

name: Swift Swim (subject to change; i feel as while the name kind of explains what it does it makes it read like this mons only good on dedicated rain) could leave it as is or make it "swift swim sweeper," your call.

Rain Dance lets Ludicolo set up Rain for itself to boost its Speed and power-up its Water-type moves. Hydro Pump can be run to deal more damage against the likes of Audino and Scrafty, Giga Drain lets it hit the many bulky Water-types in the tier like Jellicent, Wishiwashi, and Quagsire, while also letting it heal up chip damage it has accumulated. (give separate sentences to the explanations of surf/hydro and giga, this sentence is too long.) (also, it might be worth mentioning weather ball as an alternative to surf/hydro but not slashing; the move is stronger than surf and more accurate than hydro but useless outside of rain.) Ice Beam lets it hit Grass- and Dragon-types like Eldegoss, Lurantis, and Altaria for super effective damage. Offensive Pokemon like Scrafty, Frosmoth, and Doublade make for excellent teammates that can break through teams to allow Ludicolo to clean them up. Ludicolo really appreciates entry hazard support from teammates like Froslass, Lycanroc, and Archeops, to help it break through the opposing team. Special walls like Audino and Wishiwashi (not the greatest example. only takes a little chip to OHKO physdef wishi while spdef is still solidly 2HKOd with or without rain.) give Ludicolo troubles, so physical breakers or Special attackers that can lure these special walls like Gallade, Lycanroc, and Choice Specs Ribombee make for good teammates. 29 HP ivs should be ran to optimize the damage taken from Life Orb. (move this sentence so that it comes after the one about ice beam.)

Surf does reliable damage but Hydro Pump can be run to deal more damage against the likes of Audino and Scrafty. Weather Ball can also be ran as its stronger than Surf but 100% accurate, however, its totally useless outside of rain. Giga Drain lets it hit the many bulky Water-types in the tier like Jellicent, Wishiwashi, and Quagsire, (drop quag here, since it can't take ludi's water moves to begin with.) while also letting it heal up chip damage it has accumulated.
