[SET COMMENTS]
Raging Bolt is a bulky setup sweeper for Dragon teams that deals with problematic threats like Primarina, Greninja, and Enamorus with its strong Thunderbolt and Thunderclap. Draco Meteor threatens Ground-types like Gliscor, Great Tusk, and Unaware Quagsire that come into its Electric-type moves, notably OHKOing Gliscor after Stealth Rock and defensive Great Tusk at +1. Dragon Pulse is a decent alternative, as it can still 2HKO Quagsire and the aforementioned walls, and it prevents Raging Bolt from turning into setup fodder in the Dragon matchup, but it lacks the immediate power of Draco Meteor,(AC) which can be vital to avoid heavy damage or status from the aforementioned Gliscor. Thunderbolt lets Raging Bolt strike down Calm Mind Primarina and Dondozo, and Thunderclap lets it pick off faster threats like Greninja and Enamorus. Thunderclap's strength is quite notable; It is able to OHKO neutral targets like Iron Valiant and Gengar after a Calm Mind boost and Stealth Rock damage. The given EV spread lets Raging Bolt outpace uninvested Gliscor and survive an unboosted Icicle Crash from Chien-Pao. Its natural bulk also lets it survive an Earthquake from Great Tusk and Choice Scarf Iron Treads, and it can also survive Flutter Mane's Moonblast after a Calm Mind.
Setup sweepers like Gouging Fire form a dangerous offensive core with Raging Bolt, as they deal with dedicated walls Raging Bolt is unlikely to break through such as Galarian Slowking and Hisuian Goodra for Gouging Fire. Gouging Fire is also flexible enough to act as a check into dangerous Fairy- and Ice-types like Flutter Mane and Chien-Pao. Archaludon sets up Stealth Rock, checks Kingambit with Body Press, and switches into physical threats like Meowscarada and Mimikyu. In return, Raging Bolt deals with special attacking threats like Greninja and Keldeo, which Archaludon detests. Dragapult can utilize a variety of sets to support Raging Bolt, as it can spread status with Will-O-Wisp and Thunder Wave to let Raging Bolt set up easier, don a Choice Scarf to revenge kill threats like Gouging Fire and Meowscarada with Draco Meteor and U-turn, or use a Choice Specs set to batter special walls like Alolan Muk alongside Raging Bolt. Garchomp provides more entry hazards with Spikes and deals with Hisuian Goodra and Clodsire with Earthquake, and it can use a Swords Dance set which thrives once Raging Bolt removes nuisances like Corviknight, Dondozo, and Gliscor. Choice Scarf Latias provides a Ground immunity, Trick to take advantage of shared checks in Ting-Lu and Galarian Slowking, which creates more setup opportunities for Raging Bolt, and Healing Wish, which lets Raging Bolt be more reckless in taking heavy damage to forcibly eliminate roadblocks for its teammates. Latias also deals with fast threats like Choice Scarf Great Tusk and Garchomp for Raging Bolt. Dragonite provides a Ground-type immunity that is not vulnerable to Mold Breaker Excadrill and powerful priority in Extreme Speed, which is extremely threatening once Raging Bolt removes Skarmory and Quagsire. Hisuian Goodra swaps into opposing Draco Meteors and forces progress by removing Heavy-Duty Boots and recovery items from key walls with Knock Off.

Magnet makes Thunderclap even more devastating, OHKOing Chien-Pao after a Calm Mind boost. Dragon Fang lets Raging Bolt outright OHKO Gliscor and OHKO Swampert, Iron Treads, and Hisuian Goodra after minimal chip damage with +1 Draco Meteor but Raging Bolt is usually more likely to use Electric-type moves throughout a match. Both of these items also force Raging Bolt to forego Leftovers, making it much easier to wear down. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 92 Def / 108 SpA / 56 Spe with a Modest nature lets Raging Bolt avoid a 2HKO from Gliscor or Quagsire, always 2HKO both with Dragon Pulse, and outspeed Adamant Azumarill and Kingambit.
