Linoone @ Figy Berry
Ability: Gluttony
EVs: 124 HP / 252 Atk / 132 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Extreme Speed
- Seed Bomb
- Throat Chop
Linoone is a unique Pokemon that has access to both of Extreme Speed and Belly Drum, making it a scary setup sweeper with the right support. Add to that two decent coverage moves, great recovery via Figy Berry combined with Gluttony, and the lack of fast Ghost-types and Steel-types in the metagame, and you have the ideal setup sweeper on paper. After Belly Drum, Extreme Speed OHKOes all faster foes that don't resist it and some defensive threats such as Gligar and Mandibuzz after prior damage, Seed Bomb OHKOes Milotic and non-Rindo Berry Rhyperior and hits Quagsire hard. Throat Chop deals with Decidueye, Bronzong, Doublade, and Tsareena, and Stomping Tantrum can be run to beat Mega Steelix and Registeel. 124 EVs in Speed allow Linoone to outspeed Jolly Tsareena. However, while Linoone may look like the ideal setup sweeper, it needs a lot of support due to its lack of bulk, namely dual screens from Meowstic and Memento support from Gardevoir, and the metagame isn't in its favor, since most teams have a way to stop it, it can't run all its coverage moves to beat every single defensive threat, and offensive teams can pressure it easily with hazards and hard-hitting Pokemon.
