[SET]
Froslass @ Focus Sash
Name: Suicide Lead (Ghost)
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe OR 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Destiny Bond
- Ice Beam / Triple Axel
[SET COMMENTS]
Froslass is the premier lead on Ghost teams thanks to its blazing Speed stat allowing it to comfortably outpace other fast leads like Alolan Ninetales, Galvantula, and Garchomp. Setting up Spikes is Froslass's main job, wearing down switch-ins to Ghost-type attacks such as Alolan Muk, Ursaluna-B, and Hoopa-U. Taunt is used to prevent other leads like Sandy Shocks, Torkoal, and Mamoswine from getting their entry hazards up, along with stopping status moves from the likes of Galarian Weezing and Talonflame. Destiny Bond allows Froslass to take foes down once it has finished setting Spikes, along with creating mind games around when it will be used. Finally, Ice Beam when running a Timid nature and Triple Axel when running Jolly are Froslass's main STAB moves, with Ice Beam threatening Ground- and Flying-types like Garchomp, Gliscor, and Enamorus straight away. Meanwhile, Triple Axel can break past Focus Sash on other leads like Breloom, along with having a higher but less consistent damage output.
The more pressure Froslass causes as a lead, the happier its teammates will be. Flutter Mane, for example, enjoys Alolan Muk and Hisuian Goodra being unable to take multiple Choice Specs Moonblasts when it comes in, which can open it up majorly against Poison- and Dragon-type teams that cannot stop its special offense. Ceruledge enjoys not having its Focus Sash broken by entry hazards, which are prevented by Taunt, and loves chip damage on would-be checks, including Archaludon and Overqwil. Gengar can help with hazard-stacking by setting up Toxic Spikes, forcing threats like Ting-Lu, Tyranitar, and Primarina onto timers they can't outlast. Dragapult enjoys Fairy-types, including Iron Valiant and Primarina, which naturally tank its Dragon-type STAB moves, to be chipped upon entry for its boosted Phantom Force to pick them off. Gholdengo's ability, Gold as Gold, blocks Defog from the likes of Corviknight and Galarian Weezing, keeping Spikes pressure up even longer, and Gholdengo itself can remove Hatterene trying to prevent Froslass's Spikes. Spectrier enjoys Ghost-resistant foes being chipped down throughout a game so that they cannot handle its threatening Grim Neigh boosts.

Will-O-Wisp and Thunder Wave can be solid options, weakening switch-ins attempting to play around Destiny Bond like Alolan Muk. Shadow Ball is a solid option to threaten out Hatterene attempting to stop entry hazards going up with Magic Bounce. Avalanche can be used to catch slower targets like Hoopa-U and Kingambit attempting to play around Destiny Bond by making Froslass move slower; however, it gives up offensive pressure.
