GASP 1.211% gap between mienfoo and second place! Such a long way from the 30%+ lead it had last year. I'm curious if this is because mienfoo is losing its allure or if its just cause of all the new stuff we've been doing that we're not finding room for mienfoo on our teams.

Riolu is still much farther down than it should be. Its surprisng to me (especially after it's stint on PotW where it was almost unanimously decided p-phazing was too gimmicky / useless and that protect offered much more utility) that people think P-phazing is all its good for. I feel like it'll start to climb as more people realize just how abusive it is. I've nearly 6-0'd entire teams with just it on more than one occasion (granted its on the ladder, so not really an accomplishment, but hopefully those people saw just how good Riolu is and start using it!). Regardless I don't think we'll ever find it replacing Mienfoo at the throne of LC. I suspect it'll find a resting spot in the top 10. At the end of the day, using riolu effectively requires some really spot-on prediction skills and a general knowledge of the teir, what your opponents sets are, what riolu can and cannot tank OHKO etc which sums into a very skill dependent mon.

Drilbur getting beat out by Chinchou for th top 5 is kinda surprising to me. Not because Chinchou is bad but because Drilbur has a lot more uses both in and out of sand.

Lastly Abra at slot 3 has me slash faced :/. Its not terrible; but it sure as hell shouldn't be "3rd most used in the teir."

I'm not an avid LC player (actually, I'm terrible at LC), but there is one thing I don't get.

Whenever I play LC, I seem to see Abra on almost every single team, and I have almost never really stuggled against it any of those times despite me being bad. It gets OHKOed by everything, which means that it needs a sash if it wants to do anything. Since it uses a Focus Sash, it just doesn't hit hard enough in a metagame that is absolutely dominated by Bulky Offense, and where everything in the history of ever tends to run an Eviolite, or some of the metagame actually surpasses it in power since they carry a Life Orb or have stronger moves in their arsenal and it has almost no switch-in opportunities as even resisted hits will often make its Focus Sash activate. I've found it extremely overrated, and I don't get how this thing makes the Top 3 in usage - it honestly seems more like a 30s Pokemon.

Abra was also #3rd last month and to be honest i have no idea why. its good but having things like Murkrow, Croagunk, Chinchou, Drilbur and Scraggy behind it seems unbeliavable

Abra is very frail yet it ends up being a staple of my sand team. I dunno, Magic Guard is too appealing. Must be why it's used a lot. (Look at Zam in OU as well. lol)

Sand Teams are dominating LC like ever. Drilbur is amazing, it sweeps teams like a boss, and with an SD boost it's hard to stop.

A nice Top 10 Spot well deserved, but Scraggy is amazing in LC and needs more usage than this. Perfect coverage and Moxie and DD makes a perfect Pokemon. It's amazing.

Finally people have begun to realize that Machop is not good. DynamicPunch is a silly gimmick that has no justified use. I'm glad to see people have stopped using it, because it's terrible.

Abra and Aipom positions surprise me. both much higher than they should be. As to not repeat what has already been said just going to put a list of some mons' that really deserve to see more usage.

75 | Omanyte | 429 | 1.912% | 355 | 1.905%

While it has alot of competition from it's fellow shell smashers it does have strengths that set it apart. Omanyte has a very high special attack, while i does not reach the levels of clamperls SpA with deepseatooth Omanyte has alot more bulk, and can carry an item like white herb making it much less susceptible to priority attacks.

82 | Shroomish | 393 | 1.751% | 317 | 1.701%

Very underused poke. Access to spore which only foongus (and lol paras) receive is something many mons would give their left nut for. Has even greater bulk than foongus albeit the latter receives regenerator, whilst shroom has a form of recovery in synthesis. Shroom takes nothing from drilbur, fighting types, even staryu, non icebeam pory and misdreavus (exception of LO NP) fail to 2hko. Toxic + poison heal means it can outstall things while stun lets it hinder offensive threats.

Quick mention for Riolu, like Delver said is far lower than it deserves. It's a great mon and does not need to run roar at all. Got me out of some very bad situations quite a few times and is never dead weight.
